It is impossible to 100% confirm a block on WhatsApp because the messaging app deliberately does not notify users of being blocked or provide explicit indicators. This is essentially done to protect user privacy. However, there are indirect signs that, when combined, may suggest another user has blocked you:
- You will not see confirmation that your message has been read by the other user (the double blue ticks);
- You cannot see updates to the contact's profile photo;
- You are unable to make outgoing calls to them;
- You cannot add this contact to a group where you are an administrator;
- You cannot see the contact's last seen time or any other status updates.
If you notice all these signs, it may (but not 100%) indicate that the user has blocked you. However, there could be other reasons for this as well.
