Has anyone managed to cure onycholysis (nail separation from the nail bed)?

I'm 25. I've been suffering from this infection since I was about 10... I didn't pay much attention until I was 20, and then when I realized what was going on... I started treatment, went to doctors, visited many specialists, had various tests, and in the end, they kept diagnosing onycholysis, onychodystrophy, onychomycosis... I've taken so many pills... Sporagal, Sporaxol, Terbinafine, Fucis... Itraconazole... Yes, it helped a bit, but as soon as I stop taking them, the nail gets worse again. I've tried almost all ointments... even folk remedies... and it's all back to square one. I did cure one nail, yes, but not all of them. I have it on my hands and feet... and there's pain with it too, I don't know what to do anymore. I've heard about laser treatment, but I'm afraid I'll just be throwing money away. Does anyone know how it's treated with laser???

The dermatologist prescribed me to take 2 capsules a day of Special Merz Dragee and THAT'S IT! I only took these vitamins, didn't do anything else, and in 2 weeks, almost everything had cleared up. It's been a month now; I finished the vitamins 10 days ago, and my nails are in excellent condition. It's a shame I can't post BEFORE and AFTER photos here (I have them). In short, my advice to everyone is GO TO THE DOCTOR.

I also had a terrible experience with my nails after gel polish—they were lifting halfway or more from the nail bed, it was frightening. I cured it by: soaking them in potassium permanganate baths, making sure to clean out all the dirt thoroughly, applying hydrogen peroxide, taking fluconazole once a week, buying copper sulfate from the post office, diluting it to a light blue solution, letting the sediment settle, then pouring it into an empty bottle with a dropper (like from hydrogen peroxide) and applying it under my nails. You can also use any antifungal drops or ointments; I ordered an antifungal oil from AliExpress. The most important thing is not to be lazy—keep cleaning and applying. Everything grew back normally. My issues started with the primer, so I switched my base coat and now I paint my nails without any problems. Get well soon, and I hope this helps someone.

I applied the lotion not as per the instructions (twice a day), but about 30 times, and my nails literally drank it in. In the morning and evening, I used tea tree oil. I recall reading somewhere on here that a girl tried everything, but only regular bleach helped. She applied it, and it all cleared up.

I had the same issue: suddenly, for no apparent reason, the nail on my ring finger started to detach from the skin. The area where the nail wasn't attached kept growing, and eventually, it was only holding on at the base. Two different dermatologists said it wasn't a fungal infection but rather the result of an injury and referred me to a surgeon (though they did prescribe antifungal spray called "Termicon" to prevent any infection in that 'favorable' spot). Even though there was no injury that I could recall (I would have remembered it ;-) ), I went to the surgeon, and as is typical, their only 'treatment' was 'REMOVAL'! I didn't agree. I started treating it myself. I trimmed the nail as short as possible, soaked it in sea salt baths, removed hardened skin, applied cream, and tightly wrapped the entire phalanx with a plaster. After a couple of months, the nail recovered! Though it's a bit uneven (with vertical ridges) and hasn't reattached all the way to the tip (only about 3/4), it's enough.
