How does stomach …

How does stomach cancer progress

Is it true that with this diagnosis the pain isn't that strong and the person just fades away. Mum refused the operation, says she wants to live peacefully for a while longer, without chemotherapy and all that

My husband died from stage 4 cancer! So unexpected! It was inoperable. He had symptoms of gastritis, still felt relatively normal. Within two months, he was gone. By then, it was everywhere, metastases, nothing could be done.

You know, it's essential to register at the polyclinic anyway, so that if the pain starts, they can prescribe narcotics, and then... a doctor's note from the polyclinic will be needed. I know because my father didn't opt for bowel cancer surgery – it was all over in six months.

My uncle had stomach cancer for a long time, but he kept attributing it to gastritis; the pain was bearable. It started to ache persistently in November, and by February, he had passed away.

My father-in-law had stomach cancer. It started with a long period of uncertainty, as they couldn't pinpoint it as oncology at first. It presented as a classic case of gastritis. The gastroscopy didn't reveal anything new either. Then, when the pain became severe and the gastritis treatment proved utterly ineffective, they finally performed a biopsy. That's when it was confirmed: yes, it was cancer, already at stage 3. The entire stomach was removed as it was completely affected. The diagnosis was confirmed by the examination of the tissue. There were a few metastases, but they were cleared. He lived for three years after that and ultimately didn't die from cancer—it was cardiovascular issues. However, he lost a significant amount of weight because his diet was quite specific: small portions, everything pureed, and so on. Otherwise, he managed to live and worked in a simple position, like a security guard.

Yes, typically, stomach cancer is "merciful" and only makes itself known in its later stages.

Chemotherapy destroys the body by killing the immune system. Cancer is treated with ordinary baking soda. Look it up on Yandex. Cancer is just a common parasitic disease and is easily cured.

Well, why haven't you been awarded a Nobel Prize for such a great discovery? Do tell us the name of that great parasite? Echinococcus? Worms?

So, my mother also signed a refusal for surgery and doesn't want chemotherapy. She wants to live peacefully for as long as God grants. Besides, she can't have the surgery; her heart wouldn't withstand it, and she has a whole bouquet of issues anyway. She's been on medication her whole life, on strong neuroleptics. There's no severe pain yet, but I don't even know what we'll do later. Or should I persuade her to have the operation? She thinks it's pointless.

Well, we certainly won't go for that—why ruin the body even more? A parasitic disease?? Are you confusing something here?

This at least brings some relief. If only it could pass quietly, but as it is, we already understand that nothing can be done. The body is very worn out, and age is a factor too.

If the surgery were somewhere abroad, I would have agreed if I were in your shoes, but usually, it's very expensive, and in our country, with our healthcare, doctors would only hasten the end. My grandfather died of bowel cancer, literally within a couple of months, while the doctors were treating a HERNIA!!! Of course, that's unacceptable, but I hold these indifferent and inhumane scoundrels responsible for his death!! There are good doctors, but you have to find them first.

Are there any symptoms? Is it really impossible to diagnose it at an early stage? An acquaintance of mine, just 30 years old, deteriorated within a couple of months. Her stomach ached but wasn't too bothersome.
I have this fear. My stomach hurts; I was diagnosed with gastritis... I underwent treatment, but it didn't help. The doctor just shrugged and told me to improve my diet even more. And I'm still afraid of losing weight.

Did you have an upper endoscopy? During this procedure, they usually take a biopsy. If they didn't, make sure to get one done. Also, have a comprehensive blood test. My grandfather had an ESR reading of 68, when the norm is up to 10, I think—I'm not exactly sure.

My father has stage 3 stomach cancer; the doctors recommended chemotherapy and surgery, but he has a weak heart. We declined. We are now being treated by phytotherapist Lyudmila Pavlovna Polyakova. The first follow-up ultrasound after two months showed that the metastases are stable, and no new ones have appeared. His pain has almost completely subsided. My question is: has anyone else been treated by this specialist, as all doctors are against herbal medicine? Thank you for your response. arklemenko@gmail.com

Guest 16, you've alleviated the symptoms, but the tumour continues to grow.
Author, my ward mate had stomach cancer surgery two years ago at the age of 52. She underwent four chemotherapy sessions – chemotherapy isn't the worst part. Young people often deteriorate quickly, but your mother has better chances. Go for the operation if they're still willing to perform it.

Why do young people burn out quickly? I thought it was the opposite, that little can help the elderly.

My mother is 74 years old, had surgery (stomach removed) for stage 2 stomach cancer in December 2013. Her appetite is good, no pain, she eats everything. But she just can't gain weight. Has anyone encountered this problem, any advice?

Mine has also been operated on and successfully, she no longer has cancer. Half of her stomach was removed, and she still doesn't gain weight, even though she's allowed to eat everything, and the diet was lifted long ago. Due to the weight, there's exhaustion of the body, haemoglobin, sugar, etc.

They performed her procedure successfully, and we're already trying to forget that terrifying period. She doesn't even need to go for check-ups anymore – everything's fine, no cells remain.

I am 68 years old. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with T3N0MO poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. I underwent a radical operation: gastrectomy, splenectomy, and distal pancreatectomy. After the surgery, I had 7 months of rehabilitation and monitoring. Life returned to normal with check-ups every 3 months. A month ago, there was a sudden deterioration in my ability to eat: 5–7 minutes after eating, I vomit clear white mucus and have been losing weight. A PET-CT scan revealed a recurrence in the anastomosis area (6–7 cm), with no metastases detected. The tumour marker CA 19-9 is also progressing. Everything except water triggers this (including special liquid ready-made nutrition). Surgery: Intervention is not possible. Radiotherapy: Precise irradiation is not possible due to perforation; only general radiation can be considered. Oncology: Chemotherapy is not recommended as it is currently a localised recurrence. Dear forum members (I fully understand the nature of this disease), for those who have been in a similar situation, what would you advise: - Stenting (to open the lumen) - Inserting a feeding tube - Starting intravenous nutrition Or any other advice... To all those undergoing treatment, I wish a speedy recovery, and to their loved ones, patience and understanding. Thank you.

There really are idiots who write stuff like this 🤦♀️
If it were that easy to treat, everyone would be healthy. Get out of here with that information.

I also have stomach problems and my bones have started hurting. An oncologist on a website said I need to get tests done - FBC and LDH. And if the ESR indicator is normal - that's another accurate indicator for cancer.

When you really want to give 'advice' (I can see you really want to), leave your address. So there's someone to hold accountable... You eat the baking soda yourself.. Are you cured?

Oh my goooood, how infantile you are... probably at a certain age – you've heard and seen things. He had pancreatitis, recorded a video... made some dosh and kicked the bucket ages ago... sodomasochists... and less blah blah... when you don't know the truth..

Because in young people all bodily processes happen faster, including tumour growth, while in elderly people all processes slow down and tumours grow more slowly

If it were that simple, this disease would have been defeated long ago, and so many people wouldn't have died 🤔

And nobody actually lists cancer as the cause of death. My brother died at stage 4 cancer. He lived with this diagnosis for three years. But the death certificate says something heart-related. I've heard they do this to reduce the cancer mortality statistics.
