How does stomach …

How does stomach cancer progress

Is it true that with this diagnosis the pain isn't that strong and the person just fades away. My mom refused surgery, says she wants to live peacefully for a while longer, without chemotherapy and all that

My husband died from stage 4 cancer! So unexpected! It was inoperable. He had symptoms of gastritis, still felt relatively normal. Within 2 months, he was gone. By then, everything was metastasized, nothing could be done.

You know, you definitely need to register at the polyclinic in case the pain starts, so they can prescribe narcotics and then... you'll need a doctor's certificate from the polyclinic. I know because my father didn't opt for intestinal cancer surgery—it was just six months and that was it.

My uncle had stomach cancer for a long time but dismissed it as gastritis, as the pain was bearable. The nagging pain started in November, and he passed away in February.

My father-in-law had stomach cancer. It started with a long period where they couldn't figure out it was actually cancer. It presented as a classic case of gastritis. The endoscopy didn't reveal anything new either. Then, when the pain became severe and the "gastritis" treatment wasn't helping at all, they finally did a biopsy. That's when they discovered it was indeed cancer, already at stage 3. They removed his entire stomach—it was completely affected. The diagnosis was confirmed by the tissue analysis. There were a few metastases, but they cleaned them up. He lived for three years after that and ultimately didn't die from cancer—it was cardiovascular issues. However, he lost a lot of weight because his diet was very specific—small portions, everything pureed, etc. But overall, he lived and worked in a simple job like a security guard.

Yes, typically, stomach cancer is "merciful" and makes itself known only in the later stages.

Chemotherapy destroys the body by killing the immune system. Cancer is treated with ordinary baking soda. Look it up on Yandex. Cancer is just a common parasitic disease and is easily cured.

Well, why haven't you been awarded a Nobel Prize for such a great discovery? Tell us the name of that great parasite then? Echinococcus? Worms?

So, my mom also signed a refusal for surgery and doesn't want chemotherapy. She wants to live peacefully for as long as God grants. Besides, she can't have the surgery—her heart wouldn't handle it, and overall, she has a whole bouquet of issues. She's been on medication her whole life, on strong antipsychotics. There's no severe pain yet, but I don't even know what we'll do later. Or should I persuade her to have the surgery? She thinks it's pointless.

Well, we're definitely not going for that—why ruin the body even more? A parasitic disease?? Are you sure you're not confusing something?

This at least provides some relief. If only it could pass quietly, but as it is, we already understand that nothing can be done. The body is very worn out, and age is also a factor.

If the surgery were somewhere abroad, I would agree if I were in your shoes, but it's usually very expensive, and in our country, with our healthcare, doctors would only hasten the end. My grandfather died of intestinal cancer, literally within a couple of months, while the doctors were treating a HERNIA!!! That's just unacceptable, but I hold these indifferent and inhumane scoundrels responsible for his death!! There are good doctors, but you have to find them first.

Are there any symptoms? Is it really impossible to diagnose it at an early stage? An acquaintance of mine, just 30 years old, passed away within a couple of months. Her stomach hurt a bit but wasn't too bothersome.
I have this fear. My stomach hurts, and I was diagnosed with gastritis... I went through treatment, but it didn't help. The doctor just shrugged and said to improve my diet even more. And I'm still afraid of losing weight.

Did you have an EGD? During this procedure, they usually take a biopsy. If they didn't, make sure to get one. Get a comprehensive blood test. My grandfather had an ESR level of 68 when the norm is up to 10, I think, I'm not exactly sure.

My father has stage 3 stomach cancer, and the doctors recommended chemotherapy and surgery, but he has a weak heart. We declined. We are now being treated by phytotherapist Lyudmila Pavlovna Polyakova. The first follow-up ultrasound after two months showed that the metastases are stable, and no new ones have appeared. His pain has almost completely subsided. My question is—has anyone else been treated by this specialist, since all doctors are against herbal medicine? Thank you for your answer. arklemenko@gmail.com

Guest 16, you've alleviated the symptoms, but the tumor keeps growing.
Author, my roommate in the hospital had stomach cancer surgery two years ago at 52. She underwent four chemotherapy sessions—chemotherapy isn't the worst part. Young people tend to deteriorate quickly, but your mother has better chances. Go for the surgery if they're still willing to do it.

Why do young people burn out quickly? I thought it was the opposite, that little can help the elderly.

My mother is 74 years old, had surgery (stomach removed) for stage 2 stomach cancer in December 2013. Her appetite is good, no pain, she eats everything. But she just can't gain weight. Has anyone faced this problem, any advice?

My mother has also been operated on successfully, and she no longer has cancer. Half of her stomach was removed, and she still can't gain weight, even though she's allowed to eat everything and has been off the diet for a long time. Due to her weight, there's exhaustion, issues with hemoglobin, sugar, etc.

Everything went successfully for her, and we're already trying to forget that terrifying period. She doesn't even need to go for check-ups anymore; everything is fine, no cells remain.

I am 68 years old. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with T3N0MO poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. I underwent a radical surgery: gastrectomy, splenectomy, and distal pancreatectomy. After the surgery, I had 7 months of rehabilitation and monitoring. Life returned to normal with check-ups every 3 months. A month ago, there was a sudden worsening in food intake: 5–7 minutes after eating, I vomit clear white mucus and have been losing weight. A PET-CT scan revealed a recurrence in the anastomosis area (6–7 cm), with no metastases detected. The tumor marker CA 19-9 is also progressing. Everything except water triggers vomiting (including special liquid ready-to-eat nutrition). Surgery—intervention is not possible. Radiotherapy—targeted radiation is not possible due to perforation; only general radiation is an option. Oncology—chemotherapy is not recommended since it is currently a localized recurrence. Dear forum members (I fully understand the disease I am dealing with), for those who have been in a similar situation, what do you advise: - Stenting (to open the lumen) - Inserting a feeding tube - Starting intravenous nutrition Or any other advice... To all those undergoing treatment, I wish a speedy recovery, and to their loved ones, patience and understanding. Thank you.

Abroad, my friend's sister had surgery, they charged a lot of money, scammed them, she died a few days later.

There really are idiots who write stuff like this 🤦♀️
If it were that easy to treat, everyone would be healthy. Get out of here with that kind of information.

I also have stomach problems and my bones started hurting. An oncologist on a website said I need to get tests done - FBS and LDH. And if the ESR indicator is normal - that's another accurate indicator for cancer.

When you really want to give "advice" (I see you really want to), leave your address. So there's someone to hold accountable... You go eat baking soda yourself.. Did it cure you?

My husband had a gastroscopy and they took a biopsy, they said it was an ulcer and needed surgery, they operated and removed part of his stomach, when the second biopsy came back they said it was stage 3 cancer, now we're doing chemotherapy... only God knows what will happen next.

And nobody ever lists cancer as the cause of death. My brother died from stage 4 cancer. He lived with that diagnosis for three years. But on the death certificate it says something heart-related. I've heard they do this to reduce the cancer mortality statistics.
