This question is more for dentists or people who've encountered this problem. I smoked IQOS for a year, quit in July, but got tempted again in November. Now I've noticed that my upper left canine has become "exposed", i.e. the gum, to put it simply, has started disappearing - the gum doesn't wrap around the tooth anymore, but has become triangular, exposing part of the tooth that should be under the gum. Could this be a side effect from IQOS? P.s. I'm going to my dentist in a week, as appointments are fully booked. But it's really worrying me...
If you're referring to "vapes," I'd be more interested in what happens in the lungs, where all that stuff ultimately settles... and how much the surface area suitable for gas exchange is reduced.
Perhaps if you haven't smoked anything before, you might experience dizziness and nausea after smoking. This is temporary and not permanent. If it becomes persistent, sell your IQOS and try not to smoke or use it less frequently. Generally, consuming 4-5 sticks a day is much better than a pack of regular cigarettes. Take care of your health.

After 20 years of smoking, I switched to Iqos 7 months ago, and today I've decided to quit that too. My health is faltering—throat issues, heart problems, an elevated pulse, and even tinea versicolor has appeared on my face, which is quite rare for that. My test results are fine, and the doctors say I'm overthinking it, but I feel they're playing a direct role in this. Also, my throat gets very dry after using them; I only smoked the menthol ones.

Same here! Started getting tachycardia during smoking and weakness afterwards, dizziness, which wasn't there before. Throat also gets dry and sore. But when gum problems started... That's something else. Time to quit )) Wishing you health)))

I smoked regular cigarettes for about 11 years before switching to Iqos and tried quitting three times. I also tried e-cigarettes but gave up on those too. In another attempt to quit, I bought an Iqos. I've been using it for a year now, and it's been awful. Yes, there's no cough, phlegm, or smell. But the nightmare it put me through prompted me to quit urgently. I lost a lot of weight, and a month ago, I underwent a full examination by a gastroenterologist—no serious issues were found. After each stick I smoked (in the last month), I had a dull ache and pulling sensation in my left side, it was impossible to lie on my back, my side kept pulling, and there was constant gurgling. The doctor concluded that the cigarettes were to blame! Additionally, I sometimes experienced numbness in my fingers, tachycardia, and breakouts under my chin and on my back. I haven't smoked anything for four days now, and all the symptoms are subsiding. Regular cigarettes never caused such havoc.

Started getting terrible migraines, had every test imaginable. Until I heard from a couple of mates about the same problems with Iqos smoking. So Iqos in the bin, feeling better now.

Yeah I also noticed I lost weight from it (and I'm already thin so IQOS made me lose even more weight it's awful. Weakness, slight dizziness and constant hunger, literally an hour later.
After 20 years of smoking cigarettes, I've been using Iqos for 2 years, about a pack a day, not inhaling into my lungs but like a cigar. Today, I compared photos from 3 years ago and now, and I was horrified: my eyes are red, my skin has sagged, facial ptosis has appeared, not to mention the cough, lethargy, drowsiness, and dryness. When I compared photos from all periods over 2-3 years, there was never such a drastic difference. My appearance after two years of smoking Iqos is shocking, and as for my brain—I can't gather my thoughts, it's like Alzheimer's, no thoughts, no memory, I feel like a deer-seal hybrid, honestly. I'm 37. What should I do? Switch back to cigarettes, perhaps? I came here to read reviews from people with similar problems... I can't quit smoking altogether; I've been smoking Sinator for two days now.

Exactly the same symptoms as mine 😅 Yes, you don't get this from regular cigarettes, but cigarettes are a slow death anyway, so it's better not to smoke at all - it's not even trendy anymore.

So you're not scared that at 37 you're completely losing your health? Besides everything else, think about how much money you're giving to those who help you destroy this health. You pay tribute every day (doesn't matter how much, the essence is important) so that with every smoked cigarette or stick you shorten your life by an hour. This is an impeccable course in your life, the state doesn't need pensioners, everything's correct, keep killing yourself further. Later when the rooster pecks you in the ass and you're tied to a radiator and quit, it will already be too late.

I also started having problems after a year of smoking Iqos, my head started hurting like hell, also got a rash, and serious gastrointestinal issues (especially hits the gallbladder really hard), and of course allergies to certain types of sticks. Anyway decided to quit, smoking cigarettes for 11 years, but never had anything like this before.

I've been using Iqos for a year, but I'm quitting today. This is the third time I've visited an ENT specialist due to throat pain and irritation. The ENT says it's burns from stomach acid reflux, but I never had such throat burns before, even though I've always had chronic gastritis—my stomach hurt, but my throat never bothered me. I suspect Iqos is causing these burns because when I stop smoking, everything goes away! It's hard to prove since a person might have other health issues, and one wouldn't immediately suspect Iqos!

Iqos literally poisoned my blood. My face broke out in pimples, mucus started coming from my nasopharynx every 3-5 minutes. Got angular cheilitis and redness on my chin. My stomach started hurting - diagnosed with duodenal bulb ulcer. Quit that rubbish, it started getting better, but almost six months have passed - my body still hasn't eliminated all the consequences. Still have redness on my face.

Exactly the same with me! I'm 39. Not only that, everything has dried up, both eyes and lips! Constant fatigue, yawning and all the other things you listed. The only plus in it - it doesn't stink! Otherwise - poison! I'll have to keep stinking further. Unfortunately I can't quit.

I used to smoke cigarettes. For the New Year I decided to give myself a present. Bought an IQOS. STARTED smoking it. Got headaches, my blood pressure went up, and then I had a haemorrhagic stroke in the right part of my cerebellum. Thank God the Lord protected me, everything moves and works. Now I don't smoke anything.

What nonsense people are writing here. I smoked iQOS for almost a year. I felt fantastic – all the ailments from cigarettes disappeared, my complexion improved, my skin got better, and I had more energy. My headaches stopped, I started sleeping well, and my circulation problems vanished (I had impaired cerebral circulation from cigarettes). Anyway, I quit iQOS because I started coming across counterfeit sticks, and they literally made me nauseous. I got tired of searching different shops for quality ones and gave up. The taste became so awful it just triggers a gag reflex. I decided to start smoking regular cigarettes again – but couldn't, they're so disgusting, as if there's no tobacco in them, just paper. I found Voke cigarettes for myself and only smoked those; at least you can feel the tobacco in them. So, after a year and a half, my circulation problems started again – stressful job, and I started smoking a lot. I bought a glo. For two days, I was satisfied with it, but today I began noticing that this disgusting taste is coming back. It makes me want to vomit. But I won't go back to cigarettes. I don't know how to beat this habit anymore.

The whole issue is that cigarette and stick manufacturers in Russia produce their goods not from tobacco, but from some kind of hay or paper. Cigarettes and sticks from abroad (Europe, America) are of a completely different quality! Just like food products. They're simply poisoning all of us.

I used to smoke Iqos for 8 months, and my health deteriorated significantly. It dries out my throat, and I get tachycardia as soon as I smoke one... I feel very unwell. Iqos is absolute rubbish. It's completely inadvisable to smoke it at all. It kills you slowly.

I've encountered the same issue. I switched to Iqos in the summer of 2020. By November, I started experiencing dizziness, and in January, tachycardia, high blood pressure, and panic attacks followed. I underwent medical examinations, and everything was fine. I quit immediately. I'm still suffering from the aftereffects.

I used IQOS for two months, then my throat started to hurt, and my tonsils became inflamed. I switched to regular cigarettes. I've been treating my throat for almost a year now, but the inflammation still hasn't gone away. The ENT specialist just shrugs, all the tests are normal... I'll try to quit smoking somehow.
I smoked regular cigarettes for 25 years. More than a pack a day. I decided to switch to "safer" smoking... Bought an Iqos, bought two types of sticks, and... I couldn't even finish half of the first pack of sticks!!! This is something else... 1. It scratches the throat as if it's been coated with kerosene. Wild dryness in both the throat and nose! 2. In the lungs (for a long time after smoking a stick), there's an unpleasant sensation of unnatural warmth, like a slight burn there, and the feeling that they've been squeezed and compressed. The chest doesn't open up... Forgot how to breathe )) 3. Nausea, quite strong, right away, and it fades slowly. 4. Head 🤕 starts to ache. 5. And then tachycardia—the heart practically leaps out! I've gone back to cigarettes... And they seemed so mild, so weak, so unnoticeable in my body compared to Iqos... So, you tell me what's more harmful: the old, familiar harmful or the new, unstudied, supposedly less harmful))) But, of course, it's best not to smoke anything at all!

I've been smoking iQOS for 3 years, and it's fucking awful. I developed hives. Today I had an endoscopy - erosion in the lower part of my stomach. The immunologist-dermatologist said iQOS is several times worse than cigarettes. It was exactly what triggered this erosion (( A friend of mine, who never had any skin problems before, developed dermatitis on his hands. He quit - everything went away. Anyway, I wish you and myself to get rid of this harmful habit as soon as possible, which so thoroughly ruins our quality of life!

Please note!!! Issues with tonsils, drowsiness, and health imbalances occur as a result of withdrawing from the toxins of regular cigarettes! I quit before and was out of sorts for half a year. However, iQOS undoubtedly dries you out, and there's also a ridiculous reaction to nicotine—it knocks you out, causes weakness, slight nausea, and sleepiness. I don't feel like smoking anything—I switched from regular cigarettes to iQOS, smoking just one stick a day in the morning, and I'm thinking I might be able to quit altogether.

Today is day 3 since I quit Iqos, same crap with my left side. Scary what's happening with my side - gurgling, heaviness, plus either constipation or intestinal cramps. Thought I was the only one 🤦♀️ As soon as I stopped smoking Iqos the symptoms disappeared, 3rd day and my side is quiet, no nausea or gurgling.

Same story with my left side, I'm quitting everything, it's become a bit scary.
I bought an IQOS, and after about three months, I developed a severe sore throat. Initially, I sought treatment from a general practitioner, but it was useless. Then I visited one ENT specialist, followed by another... Almost a year passed, and in the end, I figured out on my own that it was nicotine stomatitis. If symptoms appear, go straight to a dentist. Treat it specifically as nicotine stomatitis; the palate becomes inflamed, and everything stems from that. The main condition for recovery is to quit smoking.

Same problem with quitting, and from Iqos I started having panic attacks can't sleep at night, it's just all so sad (even sedatives don't help). To everyone who started this thing, I smoked Iqos for about 3 years and here are the consequences, I quit it, smoked regular cigarettes two-three a day and this wasn't happening, smoked Iqos for a day and here's panic again 😥😭 take care of yourselves don't smoke this rubbish

Better to quit completely, just snap and quit!) That's what I did when I snapped, even though I had a massive smoking history. You need to decide for yourself - are you in control of your life or are you a weak-willed slave to cigarettes?

I can confirm, same thing, once I almost fainted from weakness, God knows what they mix in this crap. In the morning my gums were bleeding terribly so I stopped immediately, it went away after about 3 days. Had tachycardia too, ended up at the doctor's. These aren't safe cigarettes, they're dangerous health-wrecking rubbish

I have the same thing after Iqos. Haven't smoked at all for 36 hours))), but I want to. I won't. What pushed me to stop was the strongest cough. Suffocating.

Hello, same thing here - I've been to all the ENT specialists, had terrible throat pain, a lump feeling and dryness, constant fear and discomfort. A couple of times when I stopped smoking iQOS it got better. As soon as I started again, the pain returned. Once I choked on a fish bone and had to swallow the tube, and the doctor said my larynx was coated. She told me to quit, said it's a terrible thing. Now I'm fighting this habit.

Most likely it's sublingual neuralgia.

The whole issue is that cigarette and stick manufacturers in Russia produce their goods not from tobacco, but from some kind of hay or paper. Cigarettes and sticks from abroad (Europe, America) are of a completely different quality! Just like food products. They're simply poisoning all of us.
Oh yeah, quality cigarettes don't poison anyone at all. ))))) straight up vitamins ))))))))))))

And this is coming from a smoker )))))))) they're giving you the same nicotine in larger quantities. iQOS, cigarettes... you shouldn't consume all kinds of crap and take health for granted...

And regular cigarettes are good for your health? ))))))))) They're the same shit just killing you more slowly. So stretching out the process makes it more pleasant? )))))))

Ideally, the best option among all is to buy tobacco and tubes. Not the factory-made kind. But the trouble with many tobacco suppliers is that the same variety can be of different ages. It can be not very matured and therefore very strong, or the opposite—mild. But you can't predict it.
For myself, I've chosen Herzegovina Flor tobacco, with an addition of Polish Virginia Gold. It's also light but very drying. It's more for the aroma. I add about 20 to 25 percent.
For those who find it too strong, set up some aeration for a month. Expose the tobacco to air. A bit of nicotine will oxidize. Adding cognac during aeration helps, but the aroma flies away.
It'll end up something like White Java in strength. You won't lower the nicotine level any further.
Yes. To start, you can mix in some low-quality factory cigarettes with 0.1 nicotine. Let your body get used to it. It'll take from three months to half a year. But that's assuming you're using slim tubes. If it's hard to find thin tubes, then go for roll-ups. A rolling machine, filters. The difference between non-factory and factory tobacco is like night and day.
IQOS, cigarettes. What? ))))

I smoked Iqos for a year. Terrible side effects started—acne all over my face, back, and chest. I was diagnosed with demodicosis and took many antibiotics and medications to treat the acne, but it didn't go away. I also started having panic attacks, drowsiness, and weakness. In short, it was awful what was happening to my body. I didn't realize right away that all of this was due to Iqos. I haven't smoked for a month now, and everything is slowly getting better.
