Well, I did go through with it, but it was so much harder for me, even though the doctors had promised something entirely different.

When I took the first pill, everything was fine. There was slight bleeding. But when I took the second one three days later, there was heavy bleeding and it was painful. I took painkillers and something else for nausea. It's normal for a maxi pad to last about four hours. The doctor was always available by phone. They say it's better to take the second pill at the clinic, but I was dealing with issues from both ends, so I can't imagine how I would have managed that at the clinic.
I took the second pill at 9 a.m., and by 5 or 6 p.m., I was able to walk normally and felt relatively well.

I had it this autumn. I was absolutely terrified, thought I was going to die. Thankfully, everything went painlessly, just a slight pulling in my stomach (but not painful). So, I got off with just a scare. And there was spotting for another 10 days.
But if I had to do it in a hospital ward with my legs spread... now that would have been stressful. But it turned out okay, touch wood.
I'm using the NuvaRing for contraception now. Very pleased with it.

I had it done in Sweden. A week ago. I was very pleased. On Monday, I was given one pill (I don't remember the name), on Wednesday, four Mifegine tablets vaginally, and I was given Ipren to drink (the same as Mig400). I lay on the couch for about an hour, then they told me to walk around. After another hour, heavy periods started. I sat in a chair with my laptop for a couple more hours, and then they let me go. They said it would be heavy for two days, and then spotting for a couple of weeks. On the second day, I was already working without any problems. There was no pain. Considering that I have a history of childbirth and two abortions (surgical ones in Russia), everything went just wonderfully. And to those who are against abortions, I say: "You're so annoying! What should I do if no method works?! I have a child after using a condom, so should I get my tubes tied or have children every year? For you, everyone who has had an abortion is immediately whores and murderers. And Russian doctors think the same. Only here did I encounter a normal attitude, even though there are many children here and abortions are very rare, but no one considers you an uneducated fool, a whore, a murderer... unlike in fucking Russia, where they can only shout 'give birth,' but can't manage to improve the population's standard of living." Here, it even costs many times less than in Russia, and the attitude and conditions are incomparable.

If no single method works—simple logic—combine two, for instance, I take oral contraceptives and use condoms; something is bound to work. And about the child with a condom: the condom didn't break or slip off, right? And still, pregnancy? Phew, it's no wonder I take oral contraceptives in addition to condoms. Actually, I agree with you; you could even combine three methods, add spermicides—still, there's no 100% guarantee.

I am 33 years old. I underwent this procedure twice in a row at 4-5 weeks and then at 2-3 weeks. The first one was in August, and without waiting for my menstrual cycle to return after it, an ultrasound and HCG test revealed I was pregnant again(((((((((((( I had the second one in October. Both went without pain, the bleeding wasn't very heavy, and I handled everything well))))) Although 'well' might be an overstatement... It was a heavy blow to my body(((( Now I'm under the care of a gynaecologist, balancing my hormones... What happens next, only time will tell.... And another very important point, I coped much better psychologically than with a surgical procedure!!!!

How is it that no method of contraception works? Are you from the moon? Or do you put a condom on your ear? And with withdrawal, it's absolutely impossible to get pregnant.

Well, abortion is certainly not a good thing. Two of my friends had medical abortions, and their experiences were quite different. One barely felt any pain, while the other suffered for two months. That's just how their bodies reacted. But anyway, Comrade Guest, let it be known to you that the only 100% effective method is not having a uterus at all! And let's not talk about inhumanity here. This only concerns women, and certainly not the ladies in white coats.

I literally had one just a month ago. Actually, I already have two kids, and there's simply no room for a third. Two years ago, I had a regular abortion—everything went perfectly. And then, two months ago, I got pregnant again, and my husband and I decided to go for a medical abortion. I went to the doctor, and she gave me one pill to take—it kills the hCG hormone, which is responsible for pregnancy. As soon as it took effect, I felt it immediately because, before that, I couldn’t even eat for two weeks due to morning sickness. After 36 hours, I placed two more pills under my tongue. That’s when, to put it bluntly, things started getting rough. Not only was I really scared about how my body would react, but I also didn’t want to see it. The doctor told me that if there was pain, I absolutely shouldn’t take antispasmodics like No-Spa or Spazmalgon—only paracetamol was allowed. And when my period started, everything came out right away. The pain was awful, so I took Solpadeine since it contains paracetamol and caffeine. It helped quickly, and I didn’t feel much pain after that, but it was emotionally tough, especially after the embryo came out. So, honestly, I don’t even know which type of abortion is less harmful for a woman. But they say general anesthesia takes four years off your life, so it’s up to you to decide.

I found out I was pregnant. The term was 3-4 weeks. I decided to have a medical abortion. I took all the necessary tests. On Wednesday, I took 3 pills (I don't remember what they're called). Everything went fine, with just a bit of lower abdominal pain and some dark discharge. On Friday, I took 4 tablets. My stomach hurt so much that my legs went numb. After 4-5 hours, my period started. That's all, nothing too scary.
I'm lying in a hospital bed! Wondering what's going to happen to me?

Two hours later, it poured down and something strange happened! I had spotting for 7 days! I didn't go for an ultrasound! I started taking the pill right away. I bought a test—one line! My period came after 19 days!
I've read so much... and I can't understand why it's different for everyone. I'll share my story... On Thursday, I had a follow-up ultrasound and was told the pregnancy is 3-4 weeks. The next day, I was already at a private clinic... I signed a contract with the gynecologist. In her presence, I took one pill... she gave me three more to take home, which I need to take, or rather dissolve under my tongue. Today is Saturday, but I have nothing—no discharge, nothing... Could the pill not be working???

And contraception really doesn't always work; I got pregnant while taking oral contraceptives, hadn't missed a single pill throughout the year, and thanks to those same pills, I only found out at five weeks. I had a medical abortion. After the second set of pills, the pain was so intense I was howling like a wolf. I don't know how people notice when it passes; I was in a semi-conscious state. Three days later, I had an ultrasound, and everything was fine. It might be psychologically easier (though I don't understand how, when you have to look for the gestational sac in what comes out of you), but physically, I thought my last day had come...

Hello everyone! I'll tell you how it went for me! On the 7th, I took the first pills, and by the evening, I started having discharge. The next day, it was pouring like from a bucket with lots of clots. Yesterday, on the 9th, I took the last ones, and about 10 minutes after taking them, I had such severe pain that I had to get off the minibus and sit on the ground, writhing in pain. I felt nauseous, dizzy, and couldn't see anything in front of me. The painkiller took effect after 30 minutes! Kind people took me to the hospital, where I stayed for about 2 hours under observation. The pain started again, and I needed to go to the toilet—when I went, it seemed like everything came out, lots of clots. I couldn't see; maybe it wasn't just clots. I went back, they gave me an injection because the pain started again, then I went home, slept, and it all passed! Now it's just normal discharge!!! Thank God I'm alive!!! That was hell!!!

I'm 22 years old. This was my first pregnancy. I decided to have a medical termination. I spent a long time looking for a clinic, reading reviews, and saw all sorts of things. I was so bloody scared, and you come across all sorts of stories... I settled on "Harmony".
It was absolutely terrifying. I arrived at the clinic, after the gynaecologist's examination, they did an ultrasound, and I had a blood test. The term was 4 weeks.
On Thursday, I came to the clinic, took the mifepristone tablet, and went home.
I didn't have any unpleasant sensations. On Saturday morning, slight bloody discharge started. My tummy was pulling a little bit.
The second stage took place in the hospital. There, they gave me two misoprostol tablets and told me to put them under my tongue and let them dissolve. They taste disgusting.
After half an hour, my tummy started to ache, and I felt nauseous. I was supposed to have breakfast, but I couldn't stomach anything.
After an hour, the pain became much stronger. But it was quite bearable! I usually have painful periods. I take painkillers and that's it.
But here, they said it's not advisable to take painkillers for the first couple of hours.
I had to endure it. What was draining was that the pain was strong and lasted for several hours. I felt very nauseous. Thankfully, I hadn't eaten breakfast. I felt dizzy.
After 2-3 hours, the embryo came out. They did an ultrasound and said everything was fine.
I stayed there for another couple of hours and then they let me go home. I don't even want to talk about the emotional state.
Today is the second day "after". My well-being seems normal.
Although my period is a bit heavier than usual. But that's normal.
Take care of yourselves, girls!

Hello, perhaps my review might be helpful to someone. My last menstrual period was on 18th October, conception occurred on 31st October. After having an ultrasound and preliminarily taking a smear for purity level on 26th November, I took one tablet of Mifepristone (Chinese). After 48 hours, I took three tablets of Misoprostol (Chinese). When I asked why only one tablet of Mifepristone was given when three are recommended everywhere, the doctor categorically stated that the dosage was correct. An hour after taking Misoprostol, discharge began, very scant; out of curiosity, I got up four times during the night to use the toilet, and each time, a clot the size of a walnut came out. I had no pulling sensations, no nausea, and felt consistently well. The next day, I rushed to the doctor because, after scouring the internet, I found that almost everyone experiences severe pain and heavy bleeding. The doctor examined me with an ultrasound and said the egg had passed, prescribing injections of No-Spa and Oxytocin. The discharge somewhat increased on the third day after the medical abortion but was no more than a period—three night pads a day, and not even full ones. Another three days later, I went for a check-up; the doctor examined me on the chair and with ultrasound, said everything was fine, and continued Oxytocin for another four days, along with Trichopol and a gynaecological herbal mixture. On the tenth day after the abortion, I had a follow-up ultrasound; everything was clear, and the discharge lasted for 7 days from the start.
The same doctor shared that she had two cases: in one, the pills didn't work, and the fetus hadn't moved even a millimetre, requiring a double dose; in the other, the woman's pregnancy continued to develop. Among my friends, one had severe pain and bleeding, ending in a surgical abortion, while another had a normal experience the first time but not the second, requiring a scrape. I'm writing in detail because when I encountered my atypical reaction—judging by forums where heavy bleeding and pain are common—I found at most three reviews online describing a similar scenario with no pain or pulling sensations and scant discharge. Only one person responded, and her medical abortion was unsuccessful. I am in no way advising following my regimen for self-treatment; I simply wrote that this can happen too. Always rely on ultrasound and only under a doctor's supervision. Stay healthy.

I took the Mifepristone pill at the doctor's... the next evening, I took 2 Misoprostol tablets, and about 2 hours later, bleeding started like a period, lasting all night—I used 11 pads... my lower back and stomach hurt a little. In the morning, I called the doctor, and she said to take 2 more Misoprostol... I took them... my stomach and lower back hurt, and twice, small clots came out, about the size of a couple of peanuts... and that's it... now it's just like a period. What is this? Is that all??? Does it mean not everything came out???? And I really don't understand how people know if the egg came out???????????

Hello. On 09.01.2013, I had an ultrasound at the clinic—4 weeks pregnant. I took one tablet and was immediately sent home, and my ordeal began: severe headaches, extremely low blood pressure, a rapid pulse... I couldn't eat at all, though I wasn't vomiting, but I felt nauseous; my stomach didn't hurt at all, and there were no discharges after the first tablet. On 11.01, I took two more tablets at the clinic and went home to await the horrors. Bleeding started about thirty minutes later—nothing like a horrific fountain of blood, just a normal period, with a headache and mild but noticeable lower abdominal cramping. I took the tablets at 17:00, and at 22:10, I discovered a light-coloured clot the size of a small walnut—I think it was the gestational sac. The emotional anguish is too great, and I truly hope I never have to go through this again. Wishing everyone good health.

Hello! On 13.02.13, I took a Mifepristone tablet at the clinic. They kept me there for 30 minutes to monitor my reaction. Since everything was normal, they sent me home. In the evening, I had a slight fever of 37.3°C, which disappeared after two hours. My stomach ached a little, but it was absolutely bearable. I’m waiting for 15.02, when I need to take two tablets in the presence of a doctor and stay there for 3–4 hours. I’m scared. I feel like my mental state is nothing compared to this process (though I don’t even know what awaits me yet). God bless you all with good health.
I had a medical abortion 1.5 years ago. I was 3 weeks pregnant, as shown by the ultrasound, even though a bunch of tests from different brands were negative. I had to take the pills. I was very anxious, but I had a good doctor. I took the first pill - felt fine, took the second one, still nothing. When I went for the check-up, the doctor got worried because my period should have started, but it hadn't. My body didn't react at all. Then she inserted two pills inside the uterus, and by the evening, I started spotting slightly. The next morning, I was back at the hospital because the bleeding was very light. This went on for 3 days. Two weeks later, my period started again but was very light. In short, the pills helped me, but I was stressed for a long time. My cycle returned to normal, nothing hurt, not even my head. But since that incident, I always use contraception.

I felt deeply ashamed and emotionally pained to resort to such a step as an abortion. I blamed myself immensely for relying on an unreliable method of contraception (withdrawal). Foolishly, it had worked for four years, with two children planned, and now, with the youngest not even a year old, here I am, two lines on the test! Why couldn't this child have been sent to me at least three years later? After all, we do want a third. But giving birth every year, without time to recover, torn between little children, taking out my anger and exhaustion on them and those around me. I went through that and decided on a medical abortion. When I took the pills, I cried. And before that, I cried during the ultrasound, looking at the helpless little bundle that so desperately wanted to live that it didn't even cause morning sickness in its mother. In short, girls, any abortion is emotionally very tough, especially when you truly grasp your own guilt and realise you're committing the most unforgivable act of your life.
At six weeks, I took one tablet of Mifepristone. After 48 hours, I took two tablets of Misoprostol, and three hours later, another two tablets of Misoprostol. Only after these did my period start. The pain was no worse than painful periods, even less so; I didn't feel the need for painkillers. I felt nauseous. I lay on the sofa and occasionally rushed to the toilet, where blood and clots flowed out of me in a real stream. By evening, the discharge lessened, and while undressing the children after their walk, I felt something pass out of me. On the pad was a fairly large lump, resembling a piece of raw lung. Then there were another ten days of spotting. Ultrasound on Monday. I still feel ashamed and hurt.

Girls, please advise!!
I took the second dose of pills (mifepristone) 2 hours ago, and immediately started having pains, dizziness, and an upset stomach. I took Tamipul, as the doctor said it was okay.
The pains have sharply decreased, but bleeding hasn't started yet. Is this normal?

Hello, I had a medical abortion at the "Practical Medicine" clinic on Dinamo http://cpmed.ru/ - everything went smoothly, the doctors were very responsive and experienced, they explained everything thoroughly and without rush. There was pain similar to menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding in the first few hours, which then gradually subsided.

I had a medical abortion and now I regret it. The housing issue will never be resolved, and in any case, there are no reasons that could justify killing one's unborn child. I can't turn back time, but I hope that any woman who is still considering it will change her mind and keep the baby. If I had waited and thought for just one more day, I wouldn't have done it. I regretted it the very next day.

I took Chinese pills twice a day for three whole days. Then, three more doses of some other Chinese pill in the early morning. That's when it all started in the morning—I was doubled over in pain, feeling nauseous, and after about three hours, I rushed to the toilet. Something unclear came out, either a transparent or white mass (the colour was barely distinguishable), but after that, the throbbing pain subsided. Then, generally like everyone else, clots the size of walnuts came out, about four times, and blood was pouring out like from a bucket. No fever or dizziness, I feel fine. I'm afraid to even think that something else might still be left inside. P.S. I decided to terminate the pregnancy in the sixth month.

Girls, don't be afraid! The process is indeed dreadful and mentally taxing. But in 97% of cases, everything goes well. I took two pills, and two more after a day. Fourteen days have passed, and the ultrasound showed that everything is clear, no pregnancy. Now, praying that everything will be fine in the future. Good luck to all!)

Hello, girls! I found out I was pregnant on April 19th (I took two tests; both showed one clear line and a faint second one). I have a negative view of free healthcare, so I decided to go to a private medical centre. During the examination, the doctor immediately diagnosed pregnancy and performed an ultrasound to determine the term. It turned out to be 2-3 weeks. I was in shock, of course, abortion—the pregnancy is unwanted. I told the doctor my decision right away, and she tried to dissuade me, but not pushily... she had me sign a contract stating that I was informed about the consequences, etc. She sent me for tests: blood from a vein, from a finger, urine, and a swab. By April 22nd, the results were ready, and everything was fine. I had to choose the type of abortion: either medical or mini-abortion. I asked the doctor for recommendations, and she advised the medical one. So, on the 22nd, I took three tablets of Mifepristone; about two hours later, I felt a bit nauseous, but it soon passed. I felt excellent, only the next day did I start having bloody discharge (without pain). On the 25th, I went for the second stage of the medical abortion—I took two tablets of Misoprostol, which cause uterine contractions. After taking the tablets, I stayed at the clinic for 40 minutes under specialist supervision. I felt "excellent"... they let me go. About 20 minutes later, heavy bleeding started, accompanied by cramps in the lower abdomen. The sensations were awful; I spent the whole evening lying down, only getting up to smoke because I was very scared. The doctor had warned that no painkillers should be taken... the pain was as if you were being torn apart inside. Today is the second day, bleeding like on the first or second day of a period; after getting through the night, I feel okay, just a bit of a pulling sensation in the abdomen and lower back pain. The next appointment is scheduled for the 29th (a follow-up ultrasound), I hope everything goes without complications. I'll definitely update on how it all went.

Please tell me, when should my real period come after this? After taking the pills, everything came out, and I was also given oxytocin and No-Spa. The whole bleeding lasted about a month. So I'm wondering, did my real period pass during this month or not? Or when should I expect it?

I had a medical abortion last week.
I took the first 3 pills on May 6th at 4 PM. I felt no change, so I took the remaining 4 pills (Misoprostol) on Wednesday, May 8th. And then it started—I thought I was going to die. I was even preparing for it. I don’t know how I survived that day, but I swore to myself that I would never have an abortion again, neither medical nor surgical.
I’m 19, it was my first pregnancy, and I had the abortion at 4.5 weeks.
By the way, I’m still bleeding; it’s been a week already.
The doctor prescribed Lindynette 30. I’ll take it.

I had a medical abortion, but it didn't work for me. The ultrasound showed that everything had come out, so I had to have a vacuum procedure. Now the main thing is to avoid complications both during and after it. It's very tough emotionally; you could say I've had two abortions.

I underwent a medical abortion at 3 weeks pregnant; I'm 21 years old, and this was my first pregnancy. On May 31st, I took the first pill, mifepristone—everything was fine, but I felt nauseous all day. After 36 hours, on the morning of June 2nd, I took three more misoprostol tablets. That's when it all started; within 15 minutes, I had terrible lower abdominal pain. I usually have a strong reaction to my period and am used to it, but this was five times worse. I took three painkillers, but they didn't help. I suffered like that for about six hours, almost climbing the walls. I was also nauseous, vomiting, and running to the toilet—everything was coming out from all ends, sorry for the details. I don't even remember how I fell asleep, probably exhausted from the pain, but when I woke up in the evening, everything was fine, as if I had been reborn. Yesterday, there was heavy discharge, and in the evening, the gestational sac came out. Today, everything is good—no pain, no nausea, and much less bleeding. Overall, I don't regret doing it; it turns out it's bearable. Girls, if this happens to you and you decide to have an abortion, don't delay seeing a gynaecologist; I think medical is better than surgical. I hope your reaction to the medical abortion will be "softer" than mine.
