Vaginal suppositories …

Vaginal suppositories are leaking

I recently encountered a problem like 'yeast infection'. This is my first time, so I don't know all the nuances. I started treating it with special suppositories. After the first use, I noticed that the suppositories leak out from there. Is this good or for a positive result, should the suppository stay there for a long time? Do I need to push a tampon in there to block the way or try to push the suppository deeper? This is the first foreign object I'm putting in my vagina, so I don't know how deep I can push it

Usually, you set it up at night and add a daily one underneath.

So what, should I change my gender now? I'm asking what to do if the suppositories are leaking? A guy wouldn't have enough brains for that at least because he doesn't know how to treat it or where to stick them

This is a key drawback of suppositories. Therefore, it's better to use vaginal tablets.

Well, she's melting, so she's flowing out.

Are there tablets? I thought there were only the ones you need to take orally.

Author, this is normal. The vaginal suppository dissolves and flows out, which is why it's recommended to insert them at night so they last longer and the therapeutic effect should be stronger. Besides suppositories, there are also vaginal tablets (like Clotrimazole for yeast infections, for example). It comes in both suppository and vaginal tablet forms. The principle of use is the same (the instructions say that the tablet should be moistened with water before insertion).

It's perfectly normal for the candle to drip; it has to go somewhere, don't worry, just place the candle overnight.

Of course there are. For example, Candide - vaginal tablets with an applicator. There are also combined vaginal tablets (for a range of pathogens). Ask your gynecologist - they'll prescribe them.

Insert the candle a finger's length deep while lying down, overnight.
Any remnants may come out, but it should not fully leak out.

First, read the instructions, then come here. Insert it, put on the pad, and lie down for half an hour to rest.

Suppositories are more effective than pills.

The fact that it leaks from there is normal, but what should you do if you can't push it far enough and it comes back out?

Tell me, will the treatment effect remain?

Yes, there is such a drawback. But it's normal. You simply need to remain in a horizontal position for at least one hour after insertion.
And even after that, some of the suppository, the wax, will come out. This is normal. To bind the medication, suppositories are made with substances that can be shaped for easy insertion and that melt from body heat, allowing the medicine to be absorbed.
And yes, unfortunately, the instructions don't mention a word about this. Everything is learned over time and through experience.
And you're doing the right thing by asking, because so many women suffer from the sense of shame imposed on them by society.

Absolutely. The medication there gets absorbed pretty quickly. And provided you complete the full course prescribed by the doctor, the effect will be there.

As an option, you can lie on your back, placing a pillow under your buttocks, lifting your pelvis, so to speak. It's uncomfortable of course, but you can endure it for about half an hour.

I've also used it twice and suspect it's normal since I didn't insert it deeply, lol 😆
Take care and stay healthy!)

The point of using suppositories is for the medication they contain to bypass the digestive system, preserve its properties and concentration, and provide local action and therapeutic effect as quickly as possible.

It's normal that they leak out rather than being fully absorbed, since they contain wax. When you insert a suppository, the medication gets absorbed, but the wax, which melts at body temperature, isn't absorbed by the mucous membrane and comes out. That's why it's recommended to use pads during treatment and lie down for the first 20 minutes after insertion - so everything doesn't immediately leak out and the medication gets absorbed.

It's supposed to leak, that's normal. As much as needed will stay inside, the rest will come out. Use a pad or pantyliner so your panties don't get dirty, that's all.

There are, but they're big, and because of that it's difficult to insert them
And the sensations are generally not comfortable at all, like seriously inconvenient with them, even lying down, so suppositories are better in some ways.
