CYSTITIS is just …

CYSTITIS is just driving me crazy!!!

Sweet girls! Those who have suffered from this crap, tell me which medicine is the most effective. In 3 months, it's already the second time I'm suffering, I took Furadonin, but it just dulls the pain for a certain time. And I want to completely get rid of this *****! Please tell me, what helped you and how often you suffer from this. Such a nasty thing—wouldn't wish it on anyone!!! Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. As soon as I started having a sexual life, this issue appeared immediately. I've asked the gynecologist several times, they say it happens. You shouldn't catch a cold, you need to take care of yourself. Don't sit on cold surfaces, etc. And sometimes it hurts so much that I have to spend the whole day at home. Sometimes there's a little blood with the urine and terrible pain. That's my problem too! I wanted to find out what remedies exist for this myself.

Girls, go to a professional gynecologist and urologist, they will take your tests. You might have chlamydia, ureaplasma, or mycoplasma, maybe something else. My illness also started with cystitis, a month after I began my sexual life. I suffered for 3-4 months; they flushed my urethra with a catheter, then it turned out I had chlamydia. In short, it was terrible, I was treated with antibiotics for so long... Anyway, go to a good doctor, they will refer you, and these outdated medications like furazolidone and furadonin are useless. Good medications are Rovamycin, Abaktal, Roxithromycin, etc. You need to be treated with them for 20 days.

You absolutely must see a urologist!!! He will prescribe what you need to take. I had cystitis along with pyelonephritis. It was awful. I was peeing blood. So you can't delay. They prescribed Biseptol (I don't remember the dosage) and Phytolysin. Lingonberry leaf decoction also helps a lot.

Phytolysin - the best medicine.

I also suffered from this terribly. I went to a doctor in the US and they explained to me why it happens. During sexual intercourse, bacteria from the vagina (which are supposed to be there) can enter the urinary tract, and that's how cystitis occurs. To avoid it, it's necessary to urinate after every sexual act—it cleanses the urinary tract and prevents bacteria from multiplying. And now that you already have them there, you need to take antibiotics, and it will all go away.

Exhausted. First rule: Go see a urologist. The doctor will prescribe you medication. Second: If you've caught this virus, you must not get cold—always dress warmly on the bottom. At the first signs of cystitis, drink herbal teas (bearberry, corn silk—the latter is less effective). It's a nasty illness, but with proper warmth management, you can live with it.

What are the symptoms of cystitis?

Phytolysin and blueberries (they prevent pathogenic microbes from settling on the walls of the bladder). But it's better to see a doctor.

Victoria, frequent and painful urination.

Oh, don't even mention it, it's the worst infection ever. And as for the urologist... When I had this problem, I went to make an appointment—had to wait a whole month. I probably would have died. I just went to the pharmacy, and they gave me something. But in general—once you recover, wear slippers, don't sit on cold surfaces, and avoid tight underwear. And as soon as the first symptoms appear, drink chamomile tea and warm up in a hot bath.

Thank you, everyone!
But it's impossible to dress warmly in the summer too.
Or maybe you're still bundling up now, but I guess you'll have to.
And by the way, does anyone know a great urologist in Moscow?

Actually, cystitis is often a symptom of some underlying illness... it could even be a sexually transmitted disease. Go see a gynecologist, get some tests done, and then it will be clear.

Girls, thank you for the advice. To Ananimus: yes, I think you're right. I also read something like that here recently. And indeed, I sometimes have it the day after sex. It lasts one day, then goes away. I think that might actually be the reason. Because I've been to the gynecologist. The tests seem normal. I think this version fits perfectly. Anyway, I'm wearing socks at home now.

By the way, if the admin doesn't delete my message, I recommend finding an article about cystitis on kleo.ru. Either in England or Europe, they have just started performing a surgery (described as not complicated) with a golden thread. Maybe soon it will appear here too. Those who have undergone this surgery are satisfied with the result.

Hey girls, a month ago I had a cystitis. As you all mentioned above, it started the day after sex. At first I thought it would go away on its own, I drank all kinds of bearberry tea, sat in hot baths, drank cranberry-lingonberry juice, nothing helped. On the contrary, it kept getting worse, by the third day the pain was so intense that I couldn't bear it and went to the emergency room. They prescribed me antibiotics and a painkiller that turns my urine and tears bright orange. And guess what? Within 30 minutes of taking the pills, my suffering ended. If anyone's interested, I can write down the names of the pills. This happened in the USA.

I forgot to write, the course of treatment was 7 days, but usually 5 is enough. It was 7 because it was already very painful, I guess I waited too long hoping for self-recovery. Girls, don't delay with this matter, the infection can spread to the kidneys. Good luck to everyone!

Exhausted, I highly recommend: flush the intestines with water, then pour in one liter of chamomile decoction (warm) and lie on your stomach until the entire decoction is absorbed by the intestines. The procedure is unpleasant, but it avoids poisoning yourself with medications and reduces inflammation very effectively: the decoction quickly and almost unobstructed seeps to the internal reproductive organs.

It's definitely important to keep the lower abdomen and perineum warm. Additionally, it's possible that your boyfriend has some kind of infection "inside" and is "sharing" it with you during intercourse—he should get tested.

Hello everyone!
First of all, don't worry. Statistics show that at least a quarter of women suffer from chronic cystitis (though not everyone experiences it acutely), and the remaining three-quarters have had it at least once in their lives.
Secondly, it's essential to see a urologist, especially if this issue has recently appeared.
Thirdly, it's a good idea to visit a gynecologist and get tested for various unpleasant infections like chlamydia, ureaplasma, etc.
Fourthly, check your gut flora. Very often, it's pathogenic flora (like cocci) that causes cystitis. Especially if your own flora has been destroyed by poor diet and antibiotics and can't fight off pathogenic and opportunistic nasties. Kefir won't help here; you'll need to take bacteriophages. (Your doctor will explain in detail.)
Finally, emergency help for your body during acute cystitis.
1. Monural. Sold in packets of 2 or 3 grams. This thing relieves an attack within an hour. It's not cheap (around 200 or 300 rubles), but let's be honest, when you're in pain, no amount of money matters.

The packet dissolves like effervescent aspirin, and it's best taken on an empty stomach.
One packet should be enough; no need to take any additional pills.
2. 5-NOK – if the cystitis is not acute but rather sluggish. This is also an antibiotic and works well. Girls, this is also a last resort – if you're on vacation or at work and can't see a doctor. I don't recommend ignoring doctors!!!
3. If possible – get into a hot bath and warm up your lower back. During this time, you need to drink lots and lots of herbal tea from a thermos – I like half-pala. Tea with milk and sugar if you don't have herbs at home.
4. After getting out of the bath – wool socks! Place a hot water bottle on your lower back. And drink, drink, drink hot teas...

Triggers cystitis:
Alcohol (especially wine)
Spicy food
Hypothermia (this is probably the biggest one). Always keep your feet and butt warm!
Inflammatory processes (infections, viruses...)
Sex! (After sex, don't be lazy—make sure to urinate and wash the perineum!)
If cystitis is chronic, it's practically impossible to cure. You'll have to take care of yourself for the rest of your life.

Exhausted. I've also had cystitis. During treatment, the doctor gave the following advice. To relieve pain during the acute period, you can use a heating pad (clamp it between your legs), but only if the cystitis is without bloody discharge. Drink more fluids (to urinate more frequently), avoid spicy foods entirely, and don't drink coffee. During flare-ups, complete sexual rest. At the time, I took some imported medication, but it's actually an analog of Furadonin. Everything cleared up in 2 days.
Yes, and the doctor also said that besides common causes (like cold feet or sitting on something cold), cystitis can indeed result from intense sexual intercourse with a full bladder. So, girls, always go pee before making love 8-)))

I used a heating pad, took antibiotics, but what helped was a decoction of the most ordinary dill seeds. Moreover, the pain and discomfort went away in 20 minutes, and the frequent urge to urinate disappeared within a day. All genius is simple.

Personally, Furagin helps me a lot. As soon as there's a hint of an attack starting, I take two pills right away, and everything's fine. Thank goodness, now it happens very rarely, only 1-2 times a year, and even then only if I get really chilled.

For preventing cystitis:
Run to pee more often, don’t hold it in at all, and try to empty your bladder completely—even push a little.
That way, the infection won’t have a chance to develop!
This advice from a doctor (a general practitioner) really helped me, believe me. Even urologists didn’t know how to cure me.
And take care of yourself, especially keep your feet warm!

You need to drink a lot. Drink cranberry juice by the gallon, eat plenty of yogurt. That's what my doctor told me. Also take warm baking soda baths, and brew chamomile like tea and drink it four times a day. Everything will pass.

I have the same problem...
I've noticed: flare-ups the day after sex or after drinking alcohol in any amount, even the smallest doses. The sensations are just awful: burning in the urethra, sometimes abdominal pain. The worst part, of course, is the burning! How do I get rid of it? Can anyone advise?

The drug of choice for acute cystitis is NOLICIN. Take 1 tablet twice a day for 3 consecutive days. Typically, cystitis is most often triggered by hypothermia. The girls gave correct advice: it is essential to consult a urologist and a gynecologist. Very, very often, cystitis and pain during urination are the sole symptoms of a herpes infection flare-up. But if it is a common bladder inflammation caused by E. coli, take "NOLICIN" or "CIPROLET"-250 for 3-5 days, and drink plenty of cranberry juice during treatment. If you are so afraid of antibiotics, take LINEX along with NOLICIN or Ciprolet, 1 capsule three times a day. Monural is, of course, a good drug, but there is a lot of data indicating recurrence of infection after its single dose. If there is any infection, it is necessary to treat it with an antibiotic for at least 3 days. Good luck.

All doctors ever recommend are antibiotics; they have nothing else in their arsenal. But that doesn't solve the problem. In a week or two, it all starts again.

My friend took three courses of antibiotics. As soon as she finished, within a week, everything was back to square one. She goes to the doctor, and he prescribes another antibiotic, a stronger one this time. And so it goes, in a vicious cycle.

In the end, she listened to me and started drinking dill water, and within three days, everything was completely gone, even though she felt better almost immediately. And no need to poison yourself.

But people don't realize this right away. It's a shame.

I need to get tested for STIs. That includes things like ureaplasma, chlamydia, and others. These infections can be asymptomatic but still trigger cystitis. That's what happened to me. My husband infected me with ureaplasma, and I was plagued with cystitis. I treated the ureaplasma and forgot about cystitis.

When I first got cystitis, I did all the tests and saw a urologist. As they explained to me, it's inflammation of the bladder (due to cold exposure). They prescribed Biseptol and Citeal (I think). I got better. But now, in autumn and winter, I catch it regularly if I get cold (due to a weakened immune system). I don't go to the doctor anymore. When inflammation occurs, I just take one Biseptol tablet, and if I feel it's not completely gone after half a day, I take another one. The pain subsides by morning, and then over the next three days, my body handles it on its own.

As already mentioned, MONURAL relieves all symptoms with a single dose. You drink a sachet at night, and within a day everything calms down.

But the urologist I consulted for chronic cystitis told me to take Monural, not just once, but one packet every 10 days for two months. It really does quickly relieve the unpleasant symptoms, but for chronic cystitis, taking it once isn’t enough.

Urological herbal blends are essential. Plus, Canephron (herbal tablets). Plus, normalizing the vaginal microflora, because they keep finding either E. coli or non-specific staphylococcus in me. And it’s very helpful to do a course of 10 bladder instillations. That’s the treatment plan. Besides that, constant self-care: avoid spicy and salty foods, coffee too, alcohol in very limited amounts, hygiene, emptying the bladder after intercourse...

Drink urological herbal teas regularly...
Another option, I cured it... I just constantly drank Narzan and Borjomi... Not just any mineral water... specifically Narzan and Borjomi in glass bottles...
Also, buy yourself an Esmarch mug... and with a weak chamomile solution (only strained) you can do rinses....
And alcohol, spicy foods... oops... better avoid during flare-ups..

Anabel: Biseptol is certainly a good method, and I believe it helps. But let me tell you a scary story: I'm 30 years old, and my cystitis started about 7 years ago. I didn't go to the doctor because my sister had the same problem—she was prescribed chloramphenicol, so I started taking it too. It went away. That's how I kept suppressing cystitis with chloramphenicol. Then it stopped helping me, so I switched to penicillin. After that, I tried all sorts of herbs, baths, and hot water bottles. Then—Cystone. And finally, I found a solution for myself—nitroxoline. At first, I took it in courses, but then, just like Anabel: a few pills one day, a few pills the next... and then "the body handles it on its own." But last summer, my kidneys failed. Completely and forever. Before that, I didn't even know where they were located, meaning they never bothered me. Now, I'm on chronic dialysis and on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. And all the doctors who "interrogated" me and heard about my regularly recurring cystitis said, "Well, it's clear—it's an ascending infection." So, this kind of recklessness, like self-medication, doesn't go without consequences. And you must agree, becoming tied to an artificial kidney machine for 4 hours, three times a week, for life at 30 years old is a dubious pleasure. So, girls, go to the doctor.

Girls! Cystitis is a nightmare. I'm 27 and have been suffering from this infection for 2 years. I've tried everything and everywhere for treatment, and taken all sorts of medications. Nothing helped. The symptoms are: painful urination all the time—morning, evening, night, and day. At the Urology Research Institute on 3 Parkovaya Street, there's an excellent doctor, T.S. Perepanova. She knows everything about cystitis. She was the only one who could identify the cause of my illness. I'm currently undergoing a second round of treatment, and there are noticeable improvements. She has a special method for treating this awful condition. 9 out of 10 women recover completely. I recommend getting an appointment with her, but you need a referral from your local clinic.

Girls! I used to get it several times a winter... and often in the summer when it's really hot...
What REALLY helps: frequent warm baths, hot drinks—the more often, the better... and AMPIOX tablets... they work very quickly and last for almost 10-12 hours... that's the only thing that saved me... I treated myself like this for about 2 years... now it hardly ever happens anymore...

You need to take Furadonin every day for a week. I don't remember how many tablets—consult your doctor. It will only help if you complete the full week. And then, to prevent it from starting again, you need to dress warmly and try not to get cold. That's all.

Ladies, I've got 10 years of experience (both with cystitis and in my sex life). Here are the ironclad rules: pee after sex, don't switch from anal to vaginal sex, wipe from front to back, shower before intimacy—or at least wash up and don't forget to wash your hands (this applies to your partner too). Hands carry way more germs than "down there."

Now, if you've already slipped up and caught cystitis, then it's cranberries, cranberries, and more cranberries. Just brew them like tea and drink as much as you can. I always keep a bag of these berries ready in my freezer.

I don't recommend heating your lower back, even though it eases the pain—you could end up with complications. If you have a fever, you must see a doctor.

And look for a good urogynecologist who can offer something beyond the usual antibiotics. I haven't found one like that, neither in Russia nor abroad. Good luck!

I have a cough. I can't take antibiotics because I'm breastfeeding. Herbs aren't helping. What should I do, can you advise?

While breastfeeding, I was on a course of antibiotics. I simply pumped and dumped the milk. After finishing, I waited about four days before resuming breastfeeding. Although my doctor said the prescribed medication wouldn't affect the baby, I still wanted to be cautious. Try finding cranberry extract—it comes in capsules or tablets. It helps a lot. Also, drink neutral mineral water until it feels like it's "coming out of your ears." It's helpful to avoid sweets and anything containing yeast. Get well soon!

Suffering. There is an excellent way to get rid of cystitis without harming the baby if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It involves instillations directly into the bladder with collargol and chlorhexidine, alternating each day for 10 days. I know a good hospital and a good doctor. Write to me.

I want to tell everyone that you cannot take antibiotics after consulting with "colleagues" on a website or with a friend. Everything here is individual. You need to find a urologist and a gynecologist—since urogynecologists are rare—and undergo an examination. This includes a PCR test, a general urine analysis, a swab for antibiotic sensitivity, and an ultrasound. If the cystitis is chronic, it's better to have an endoscopic examination, i.e., cystoscopy (many are afraid of it, but it's just an unpleasant procedure). Good luck to all of you, girls!

But I was told a folk remedy, so to speak—fill a one-and-a-half-liter plastic bottle with hot water, or even better, a hot chamomile tea infusion, drink some tea with honey, warm milk, etc., place the bottle between your legs (like riding a horse), and wrap yourself in a warm blanket overnight. You can even refill the bottle once during the night.
