They're driving me mad. I've bought chalk, gels, and traps, but they're still crawling about. What did you use to get rid of cockroaches? Please recommend something that won't harm cats.
I ordered professional editing. It cost 2500 roubles. Haven't had one since then for a year.

And I was about to say that you didn't have cockroaches. How many did you have?) One? Two? Accidentally brought in with bags from the train?) They crawl right over this acid and don't die)

This is a really excellent product. You must try it. Spread it on paper strips and place them in cupboards, cats won't be able to reach them. And cockroaches infect each other with it, they'll even die at the neighbours' place.

We had them for two years and couldn't get rid of them no matter what; only boric acid helped. We sprinkled it along the walls and on the thresholds, they started to decrease, and within about two months, they completely disappeared. We suffered a lot with them—you'd be asleep and wake up because a cockroach was crawling on you.

And down south, these pests are perfectly eliminated with ordinary chestnuts! I wouldn't have believed it, but my relative got rid of them using advice from acquaintances, and then neighbours throughout the entire building followed suit. It's all straightforward - just place chestnut fruits in cupboards, under furniture, and so on. They leave no mess, no odour, no danger, and not a single cockroach in sight! ))) He said there were so many that at night you'd be afraid to step on the floor barefoot!
I thought while reading the topic—about the cockroaches in the head)

They're crawling in from the neighbours, obviously. First, conduct a thorough inspection of all floors and ceilings (pay close attention to pipes and risers) and seal up any holes and cracks. Only after that should you start poisoning the pests. Otherwise, you'll be fighting them constantly (unless, of course, you're deliberately breeding these delightful insects with your rubbish))).

Why get rid of them? Look, they're scurrying around my flat, and it's fine—we're sitting here drinking together at the table, we've become like family.

You head to the pet shop, buy Frontline spray for dogs against ticks, specifically the spray. You spray it in the evening in the areas where they gather. For me, it was the kitchen; I sprayed everywhere without removing the dishes or food. The next day, there were significantly fewer of them, and if I spotted any cockroaches, I just sprayed them directly, and that was it. After about three days, they were completely gone, and it's been half a year now. I discovered this remedy online; before that, nothing worked—they were coming from the neighbours through the ventilation.

It's definitely safe for cats. It's specially made for animals; I have dogs myself, and it doesn't have a strong smell with the window open, which was important to me as I'm pregnant.
Trousers right, I also wanted to write about Frontline spray, an excellent product.

Yes. In the form of a syringe with paste, it should be squeezed out onto the skirting board in small sections. At work, we eradicated them completely (strangely, I don't have them at home). The only downside is that the paste in the syringe runs out quickly (((

So it costs 20 roubles, you need to buy several at once. But the result is permanent and instant. And it doesn't smell of chemicals.

We managed to get rid of these pests using taratsid. (Check the specialised products section on the website www.ottarakanov.ru.) If you have a cat at home, apply it carefully, only in places it can't reach. Houses and traps are safer for pets, but personally, I find their effectiveness quite questionable. Proboval didn't help. We also tried a whole bunch of folk remedies before that. Nothing worked. We applied taratsid to all the cracks, skirting boards, and covered the ventilation ducts. So far, touch wood... haven't seen any for 4 months now.
Ask an acquaintance who is well-versed in electrical work to do the following:
Attach strips of tin to an asbestos plate with a 5 mm gap between them, connect the strips to 220 V from a socket, and cover them with plastic for safety. Place such devices under bedside tables or cabinets where there are many cockroaches. The cockroach will be electrocuted. There may be a smell of burnt cockroach.

This is a dangerous activity; heaven forbid you forget and someone reaches in there.
There is a completely safe cockroach remedy available on the market.
Here's a link, it's cheap and effective, and most importantly, it's not chemical. The price is pennies, no need to complicate things.

Here you will find what you need, and it's harmless to cats, as it's not chemical-based.

Getting rid of cockroaches is difficult. Chalks and various remedies don't help. If you want to eliminate cockroaches without harming your cat—that is, to climb the Christmas tree without pricking your bottom—you need to send the cat away for a while to friends, relatives, the dacha, or somewhere else, and then call a pest control service yourselves. There are plenty of them around now. We personally used www.dez-vesta.ru. They did a decent job and weren't expensive.
I'm not sure about Frontline and other products, but "Dichlorvos" and "Clean House" didn't help me get rid of the cockroaches. There were so many of them that nothing seemed to work on them. The rubbish chute was nearby. They just kept coming and coming. We contacted the pest control service at www.ecomir.ru. Thank God, there are none for now.

What does Frontline have to do with this? That's a flea treatment for animals.
