How to get rid of …

How to get rid of cockroaches?

They're driving me crazy. I've bought chalk, gels, and traps, but they still roam around. What did you use to get rid of cockroaches? Please recommend something that won't harm cats.

I ordered professional processing. It cost 2500 rubles. Haven't had a single one since then for a year.

And I was about to write that you didn't have cockroaches. How many did you have?) One? Two? Accidentally brought in with bags from the train?) They crawl right over this acid and don't die)

This is a really great product. You should definitely try it. Spread it on paper strips and put them in cabinets, cats won't be able to reach them. And cockroaches infect each other with it, they'll even die at the neighbors' place.

We had them for two years and couldn't get rid of them no matter what. Only boric acid helped; we sprinkled it along the walls and on the thresholds. They started to decrease, and within about two months, they were completely gone. We suffered a lot with them—you'd be sleeping and wake up because a cockroach was crawling on you.

And in the south, these pests are perfectly eliminated with ordinary chestnuts! I wouldn't have believed it, but my relative got rid of them using advice from acquaintances, and then neighbors throughout the building followed their example. It's simple—just place chestnut fruits in cabinets, under furniture, etc. They leave no mess, no odor, no danger, and not a single cockroach remains! ))) They say there were so many that at night it was scary to step on the floor barefoot!

They're crawling in from the neighbors, obviously. First, conduct a thorough inspection of all floors and ceilings (pay close attention to pipes and risers) and seal all holes and cracks. Only after that should you exterminate the pests. Otherwise, you'll be fighting them constantly (unless, of course, you're intentionally breeding these delightful insects with your garbage))).

Why get rid of them? They're scurrying around my apartment, and it's fine—we're sitting at the table drinking together, we've become like family.

You head to the pet store, buy Frontline spray for dogs against ticks, specifically the spray. You spray it in the evening in the areas where they gather. For me, it was the kitchen; I sprayed everywhere without removing dishes or food. The next day, there were significantly fewer of them, and if I saw any cockroaches, I just sprayed them directly. After about three days, they were completely gone, and it's been half a year now. I found this remedy online; nothing else had worked before—they were coming from the neighbors through the ventilation.

It's definitely safe for cats. It's specially made for animals; I have dogs myself, and it doesn't have a strong smell with the window open, which was important to me since I'm pregnant.

Trousers right, I also wanted to write about Frontline spray, an excellent product.

Yes. In the form of a syringe with paste, it should be squeezed out onto the baseboard in small segments. At work, we completely eradicated them (strangely, I don't have them at home). The only downside is the paste in the syringe runs out quickly (((

But it costs 20 rubles, you should buy several at once. But the result is permanent and instant. And it doesn't smell like chemicals.

We managed to get rid of these pests using Taratsid. (Check the specialized products section on the website www.ottarakanov.ru.) If you have a cat at home, apply it carefully, only in places it can't reach. Houses and traps are safer for pets, but personally, I find their effectiveness quite questionable. Probalt didn't help. We also tried a bunch of folk remedies before. Nothing worked. We applied Taratsid to all the cracks, baseboards, and covered the ventilation ducts. So far, knock on wood... haven't seen any for 4 months.

Ask an acquaintance who is knowledgeable about electrical work to do the following:

Attach tin strips with a 5 mm gap to an asbestos plate, connect the strips to 220 V from an outlet, and cover it with plastic for safety. Place such devices under nightstands or cabinets where there are many cockroaches. The cockroach will be electrocuted. There may be a smell of burnt cockroach.

That's a dangerous activity; God forbid you forget and someone reaches in there.

There is a completely safe cockroach remedy available on the market.

Here's a link, it's cheap and effective, and most importantly, it's not chemical. The price is next to nothing, no need to complicate things.

Here you'll find what you need, and it's harmless to cats, as it's not chemical-based.

Getting rid of cockroaches is tough. Chalks and other remedies don't help. If you want to eliminate cockroaches without harming your cat—like trying to climb a Christmas tree without getting poked—you should send the cat away temporarily to friends, relatives, the countryside, or somewhere else, and then call a pest control service. There are plenty of them around now. We personally used www.dez-vesta.ru. They did a decent job and weren't expensive.

Try using Gett or Globall.

I don't know about Frontline and other products, but "Dichlorvos" and "Clean House" didn't help me get rid of the cockroaches. There were so many of them that nothing seemed to work on them. The garbage chute was nearby. They just kept coming and coming. We contacted the pest control service at www.ecomir.ru. Thank God, there are none for now.

What does Frontline have to do with this? That's a flea treatment for animals.

Boric acid would probably work.

Try Absolute Gel. It is applied to the necessary areas on the floor, walls, and baseboards. Non-toxic.
Гость

I'd like to add that one tube of gel is usually enough to get rid of cockroaches in a two-bedroom apartment.
Гость
#40
If you don't have this gel in stock, you can use similar ones like Shturm, Fas, or Domovoy.
Гость

If there aren't many cockroaches, then get rid of them.

Buy Storm product.

There's also Domovoy, Clean House.

There's a good folk remedy for cockroaches: wash the floor with ammonia.
Гость
#45
How so?
Гость
#46
Yeah, we'll be gone before the cockroaches even suffocate.
Алена
#47
On the contrary, ammonia revives the senses, especially after a binge.
Гость
#48
So why are you advising then? The cockroaches will become more active then.
Гость
#49
Better to get the cockroaches drunk on beer.
Алена

And then with ammonia?
