Girl or boy? Symptoms.

I'm sharing my "symptom," which was later confirmed by 100% of my friends who gave birth—if you really crave ice cream, it's going to be a boy. I was eating 6 to 10 packs a day. I could have eaten more, but I was afraid of catching a cold))).

If a woman's nose enlarges, it's a girl, and if her lips enlarge, it's a boy.

My friend was told she was having twins throughout her entire pregnancy. And a super-ultrasound specialist saw only one baby just 2 weeks before delivery. She gave birth to two.

You can't judge by the shape of the belly because if the abdominal muscles are strong, the belly will grow forward rather than spread out to the sides. Sex is determined AT THE MOMENT OF CONCEPTION and depends ONLY on which set of chromosomes the sperm that fertilises the egg carries (X or Y).

There is a theory that initially the embryo is sexless and only later "chooses" which sex to be. There's also a theory that sex depends on the woman; yes, men produce different sperm, but it's the female environment that decides which sperm—X or Y—will survive in it and fertilise the egg.

Don't rely too much on textbooks. They say we descended from apes, but that's not true. And for about 500 years, all textbooks stated that the Earth was flat, so who knows what else they'll write.

The first part is correct. Male or female genitalia develop in the same way. Essentially, everyone starts as a girl, and then, if the Y chromosome comes into play, a boy is formed. But this happens quite early—at the beginning of the embryonic stage.

And when I see a pregnant woman or simply know she's pregnant, even if there's no visible bump yet, a picture immediately forms in my mind of her already with her child, and I can somehow tell the baby's gender—by the clothes, the face somehow. And you know what, I've never been wrong =)

The shape and size of the belly don't indicate anything at all. And abdominal muscles have nothing to do with it. A lot can depend on where the fetus is attached and along which wall the placenta is positioned. Everything else is purely individual. You can be as big as a blimp and give birth to a low-weight baby, or you can have a tiny belly and give birth to a 4 kg baby. On topic. You can actually tell somewhat by the shape of the belly. If it's "pointed forward" — it's a boy; if it "spreads wide" — it's a girl. None of my ultrasounds revealed the gender, but all my acquaintances insisted in unison, "definitely a boy — angular belly." And that's exactly how it turned out. No particular food cravings were noted. Neither salty nor sweet.

I'm intrigued by dreams. At 24 weeks, we clearly saw a girl. A month before conception, I dreamt of twins. At 2 or 3 months of pregnancy, I dreamt of twins again. According to the ultrasound, there's one baby. Although twins are quite possible given my family history. And now I keep dreaming that I gave birth to a boy, and my pram is blue. I have another ultrasound in a week (at 34 weeks) – we'll see if the one at 24 weeks was mistaken.
