Has anyone cured chronic tonsillitis with folk remedies or other methods? I'm completely exhausted... white pus constantly collects in my tonsils. Every morning and evening I gargle, squeeze out the pus with a spoon, and apply propolis tincture. I also tried kerosene. Relief lasts a few days and then it's back to square one. Help... please advise
Preventive measures helped me for several years; it seems I used a course of rinsing with furacilin and applying Lugol's solution in spring and autumn. It was a long time ago, about 10 years back.

I use blue iodine. You can criticize, but it's the only thing, besides antibiotics, that really and quickly tackles my chronic tonsillitis.

Try to strengthen your immune system by eating onions, honey, and drinking chamomile and St. John's wort tea. I remember how I gargled with a terrible kerosene solution—it was awful. I also chewed mumijo; it drew all the pus out. Good health to you.

The only thing that helped me get rid of this nastiness was having my tonsils removed. Now, no problems—knock on wood! :-)) Author, be careful—tonsillitis really badly affects the heart and joints!

Apply Lugol's solution. Just be careful, you can get a burn (like I once managed to do). Although, it seems you're already quite attentive to yourself. Take some general strengthening supplements, keep your feet warm... I don't know myself, I suffer every spring.

I gargled with Furacilin several times a day, using 2 tablets per half liter of water.

I recommend you visit a resort with mud therapy and mineral water. In childhood, our parents always sent us to a sanatorium. There were no problems. But now (it's been over 10 years), my throat has started hurting again :( And St. John's wort is really good!!

7 - Wow!!! And I was wondering what's wrong with my joints, and they're finding more and more abnormalities in my heart function. So it's all from tonsillitis... Doctors have been diagnosing it my whole life, they were even scared of the state of my throat, but not a single doctor has ever made recommendations for treatment (they didn't even raise the question of whether it's necessary). Now that I've grown up, I've started thinking about my health myself. I've decided to go to a private doctor, or better yet, just remove them altogether. But that's probably very expensive, I can't afford it (((

It somehow went away on its own for me, and now I get tonsillitis (knock on wood) less and less frequently. The last time I was in the hospital was four years ago, and after that, I decided enough was enough. I started taking echinacea, at the slightest sore throat I immediately used Bioparox (it really helped me), gargled with chamomile, and began regularly going to the seaside. I think the sea helped me the most.

Yeah, and after your tonsils are removed, you'll get rid of tonsillitis, but then you'll suffer from bronchitis instead, since without the ability to get stuck in the throat, any infection will head straight to the bronchi...

Zheka, that's all fairy tales. I had my tonsils removed three and a half years ago. Since then, I haven't had bronchitis or tracheitis even once. By the way, I used to regularly suffer from the latter during my teenage years. My husband also had his tonsils removed (back in childhood) and so did his father. And they're both perfectly fine.

19 - My mom had her tonsils removed when she was young, and she's really unhappy about it. She says her throat has been scratchy and dry ever since, especially when she's sick. She gets sick just as often as I do - with throat issues that even doctors find alarming.

Maybe they can be partially removed somehow; I've heard about that somewhere.
19, what the hell kind of fairy tales are these? Let's just say you personally got really lucky - though life will still show its true colors, but I hope everything turns out well with your health. Personally, removing my tonsils didn't help me. I had them removed when I was 13 - bronchitis is how every viral respiratory infection ends for me. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I've been suffering from this for about 3-4 years, after having tonsillitis. I'm very afraid of surgery, but I'm ready to have those troublesome tonsils removed. At home, I have a whole stockpile of pills and throat sprays, but I can't seem to get cured—I just keep spending money on new sprays. I visited an ENT specialist. He diagnosed me with chronic tonsillitis. He recommended taking Imudon, but it's not available in stores. And he doesn't advise surgery, saying it could lead to bronchial asthma!

My ENT specialist recommended the following treatment for tonsillitis: add Trichopol (metronidazole, 1 crushed tablet) to warm Furacilin (the jar is placed in a tray of warm water), along with a bit of honey, some iodine solution, and calendula. Everything is mixed, and this solution is used to rinse the tonsils with a syringe and cannula, 10 times, preferably daily or every other day. After the procedure, the tonsils are coated with Lugol's solution. On the day of the procedure, in the evening, the tonsils should be rinsed with a saltwater solution—a glass of water with as much salt as you can tolerate—and also coated with Lugol's. If the procedure is every other day, then on the off day, rinse in the morning and evening. There are 10 such procedures. Then a 3-month break, another 10 procedures, a 6-month break, and another 10 procedures. So far, I've done 6 procedures and have already eaten ice cream twice!!! And my throat doesn't hurt after it!!! I haven't eaten ice cream for six months! =) We'll see what happens next; maybe it really will help... Has anyone else treated their tonsils this way?

Natalia, you need to get a throat swab test for trichomonads and staphylococcus; often tonsillitis is caused by trichomonads, which need to be treated. Tell me, how long have you had tonsillitis, and are you experiencing hair loss?
Hello... I also had tonsillitis... They took swabs from my throat and nose - they found staphylococcus in my throat (something like 10 to the 6th power) The doctor said that's a lot and needs treatment... I was hospitalized, given *Hepacef* injections for 7 days + tonsil irrigations, gargling, and chlorophyllipt nose drops. Are we doing the right thing? Currently waiting for the treatment results, just got discharged today... but my temperature is still holding at 37.0°C.

The tonsils are connected to the kidney through arteries. It is possible that the infection is constantly coming from there. Try getting a urine culture test. It might be that if the kidneys are infected and you treat them, the tonsillitis will go away on its own.
What you are squeezing out of your tonsils is not pus, but bacterial waste products.

I had tonsillitis in the summer. The consequence is chronic tonsillitis. There's streptococcus in my blood. The cardiologist didn't find anything bad, but my heart often hurts, though mildly. Could it hurt because of the streptococcus? The pain occurs out of nowhere, not due to overexertion, etc. I'm just wondering if I should ignore it or if it could lead to complications? And what could be the cause of the pain?

Guys, I struggled with this nasty thing for about half a year, scoured the entire internet on how to cure it, and found it! Buy birch tar—it's sold at the pharmacy in a regular small brown bottle, costs around 50 rubles, maybe cheaper, but definitely not more than 100 rubles. At night, apply it to your tonsils with a cotton swab. The smell is definitely strong, but what can you do. By morning, it hardly smells. I applied it for 3-4 nights in a row, and those disgusting lumps haven't come back! Now, I apply it about twice a month for prevention, since tar is a natural antiseptic.

Is hair loss related to chronic tonsillitis? And how to solve the problem. The throat swab showed nothing. Thank you.

I also have chronic tonsillitis, though without pus. The doctor recommends a course of antibiotic injections directly into the tonsils. He says it's the only option besides surgery. But I'm absolutely terrified of that!
Hello! Regular saline irrigations of the tonsils at the doctor's office have been very helpful for me (but the doctor must be very thorough; many perform this seemingly simple procedure without enough care). I doubt antibiotics can help much, as with tonsillitis, it's crucial to physically remove pus, etc., from the tonsils. Squeezing out pus isn't the best solution either, as you'll be injuring already inflamed tissue.
Also, try to avoid eating sweets altogether, as they significantly weaken the immune system. If you have any questions, feel free to write, I'll answer. alupka8@gmail.com Most importantly, don't lose hope!

It turns out I've had tonsillitis since childhood; as long as I can remember, I've always been coughing and coughing up pus (it's awful).
I've been checked in every possible way; the last diagnosis was obstructive bronchitis, but no one ever diagnosed tonsillitis because I have almost no tonsils—they're almost atrophied.
Tonsillitis was diagnosed this summer when my throat really started to hurt.
What I'm dealing with today:
1. Started going bald at 18, now at 28, completely bald.
2. Joint pain.
3. Constant temperature of 37°C.
4. High blood pressure.
5. Duodenal ulcer.
6. I look like I'm 35 years old.
I don't smoke or drink.
I went for ENT treatment for almost half a year with no results.
I gargle with Furacilin, Chlorophyllipt, dissolve Gramicidin C, apply Lugol's solution, and gargle with salt. Relief lasts only about two days.
I'm mentally prepared to have my tonsils removed, but due to my work schedule, I have no time at all.
My sister had hers removed as a child, and she's happy now—she's 30 and has no bronchitis issues.
Ah, if only I had known what was wrong with me earlier, I would have had them removed long ago and not suffered like this.

And I have chronic tonsillitis; my throat just started hurting, and bam, it turns out it's chronic. No matter how I tried self-treatment, it was all pointless. I applied Lugol's and gargled, chewed various tablets—basically everything recommended on self-help websites. Then I went to a free doctor who told me something like, "Just spray with Ingalipt, and it'll go away." After a week of spraying, I was shocked. My tonsils became inflamed, the number of pus-filled crypts increased, and the crypts themselves, let's say, grew larger. Horrified, I rushed to a private clinic where they directed me to use Tonsilor and undergo laser therapy. Besides that, they prescribed Imudon. I've completed 3 out of 7 procedures, and improvements are already visible: the crypts have cleared out, and my tonsils have noticeably shrunk. Additionally, I drink chamomile tea with a spoonful of honey, chew beeswax, and always take vitamins!!! Good luck in treating this nasty thing))

Hello! My throat started hurting about a month ago, and I treated it with usual methods (gargling). After 5 days, it happened again, even worse, with a temperature of 37.4°C and swollen lymph nodes. I took antibiotics, was fine for a week, and then the same story repeated!!!! The temperature has been holding for over a week now at 37.4°C, and it's not there after sleep but rises within an hour. After examining me, the ENT specialist diagnosed chronic tonsillitis. There are no plugs, but the throat isn't critical, though she said there's pus behind the tonsils! They prescribed antibiotics again, and in a strong form: Klacid 500 twice a day for 14 days!! I just physically can't take these antibiotics anymore; I'm constantly on them!! And after them, I suffer from all sorts of dysbiosis, hair loss in unreal amounts, etc. Tell me, is there any other way, maybe locally injecting/pouring antibiotics?! I just can't spend my whole life sitting on these antibiotics like they're vitamins!!;((( Help!!

It all started for me with swollen lymph nodes, a sore throat, and a fever of 101.1°F. I gargled with baking soda, salt, and iodine for a week. The sore throat went away, but the fever and swollen lymph nodes remained. I've been dealing with this for five months now. I visited an ENT specialist, took multiple rounds of medication, and had rinses done, but nothing has helped—the fever is still there. The diagnosis is chronic tonsillitis, but the catch is that many people mention something about tonsil stones, while I don't have any white plugs. I asked my doctor, and he said I have liquid pus inside my tonsils, so they're not visible. In short, his verdict is tonsil removal. If this has helped anyone, please respond. If anyone is interested in discussing this topic, sharing their treatment experience, or offering advice, I'd be very happy to hear from you! Write? Call on Skype: saifer40

I also have a problem with chronic tonsillitis for three years now. I've treated it with Lugol's solution and tonsil crypt washing at the hospital, but nothing helps. I also have kidney issues and constant sore throats—just half a glass of cool water can trigger one immediately! I don't know what to do anymore.

I can share my story, which is both sad and joyful on different sides. Sad because the battle against chronic tonsillitis took a lot of energy, time, and resources. Joyful because I recovered.
First, you need to find a Laura who can help you further; there are only a few of them, believe me (I went through about 10 candidates and doctors). In Moscow, I know one who might be of interest. Second, no gargling with chamomile or smearing with Lugol's solution will help you; the source of infection is inside the tonsils. Imagine an open plastic bottle with dirty water—even if you smear it with Lugol's or whatever else, will the water become clean? That's for understanding. So what should you do? The first and most important thing is to clean the tonsils. The ideal option: a tonsil cleaning device + rinsing with a syringe. Recommendations for everyone: 1) In the morning and evening after meals, chew a small piece of ginger (I know it's unpleasant, but what can you do?!)—the tough part after you've extracted the juice, don't swallow it, but spit it out.
