Noise in the head/ears

Noise in the head/ears

It's been the 2nd month now after prolonged stress, I've been plagued by noise in my head. ENT - normal, 2 neurologists said, based on the symptoms - it's dyscirculatory encephalopathy, prescribed expensive treatment. I've had neck massage, ozone therapy, the noise decreased by 80%, but these remaining 20% I still can't beat. Haven't done vascular ultrasound, no MRI either, I think I've already spent enough money, I've given up on meds and for now just drinking water)))) Anyone else suffering from this "misfortune" speak up!!!!!

It depends on what kind of noise. For me, it's more like a hum, a squeak really, in my ears or somewhere. But it's such that I've grown used to it; I only really notice it when I focus in silence.

Have you measured the pressure?
#3
Have you not undergone any examinations? What caused it to appear?
#4
Blood pressure can vary, sometimes a bit low (100/60), then 120/80. I don't have a blood pressure monitor at home, but I'll measure it wherever I can.

I'm attributing everything to VSD and suspect I have cervical osteochondrosis. My blood pressure is always 110/70.

Me, no. Just haven't gotten around to it yet)))
I don't know when I'll find the time, as I've really gotten used to it and "don't hear" it anymore, but you reminded me—I can hear it, it's beeping

No. Nothing hurts. It's just that I have VSD, sometimes the symptoms flare up, but otherwise I'm healthy, I hope))

My friend also had that ringing in her ears, but in her case, it was during a period of stress when her arrhythmia flared up and she started having heart issues. She went through a course of injections, and as she recovered, the ringing disappeared too. But her blood pressure was jumping to 150/100 and above.

In my case, I don't know what's causing it.

Hmm... I'm wondering if there's any point in going for a vascular ultrasound and such, just to throw money away, but on the other hand... what if it's something serious?? Phew... phew... phew.... although... I think if it were something serious, over two months the squeak wouldn't just have lessened, but there would have been other symptoms too!!!!

This happened to me twice. In the ears. There were problems at work. When the problems went away, so did the noise. I didn't go anywhere or get any diagnoses, but I think if there's no pain, there's no need to go anywhere.
I'm hearing about vascular ultrasound for the first time. I believe there's Doppler ultrasound or something like that. By the way, if the noise is due to nerves, it won't show anything.

Fetal ultrasound in pregnant women with assessment of placental condition... Dopplerography, Dopplerometry, Doppler, Doppler ultrasound – these are all names for the same medical examination. It was invented by the physicist and astronomer Christian Doppler... polyclin.ru/articles/…

Nothing hurts, just this squeaking, it's driving me mad!!! I've had bioresonance diagnostics, they'll tell me everything tomorrow, I hope they find the cause!!!

Make sure to go for a vascular ultrasound; don't spare any expense when it comes to your health. The noise could be due to high blood pressure or other issues that might lead to a stroke in the future. Wishing you good health!

It's called tinnitus. Various pathologies, from stress to others. They didn't help me; I lost my hearing due to tinnitus. Not completely, but significantly. The diagnosis was confirmed accurately. But I'm not giving up; now I'll have a scan to check for tumours or not, and it's good that you've undergone ozone therapy—I'll press my doctor on it.

For many years, I've had a noise in my head like the chirping of cicadas. It's especially noticeable in silence—doctors say I'm hearing the sound of blood rushing through vessels that are very close to my ears and that nothing can be done about it. I've grown accustomed to this noise, but my hearing has worsened—I can no longer hear whispers, the noise interferes, and speech seems less clear lately, so I often have to ask people to repeat themselves.

Did this start suddenly for you or has it been since childhood?

Recently, my acquaintance felt a ringing in his head, went to an ENT specialist, and after examining him, the doctor said, "There's nothing wrong with you, you're healthy!!!" He's in shock and says, "So what's next????!!!!!!" And the doctor just waved his hand and said, "Get used to it!!!!!!!"))))))))))))))))))))))

Yes, I think so too, first an ultrasound or something, then the right treatment, otherwise you could be walking around with who knows what!

Hello dear girls. I have the same problem(( Suddenly in the morning, I felt a noise in my head. I thought it was the flu. But it didn't go away, and there was no high fever. My eyes were burning, and my blood pressure was fluctuating. I started to panic(( I underwent a lot of tests, but they couldn't find anything. Every doctor prescribed their own treatment, and I took it(((( BUT there were no improvements. Then I went to a vascular surgeon—they did a Doppler of the vessels and also discovered osteochondrosis (my back was splitting at the time). Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine as well. I had drips, took tablets, went through a lot of procedures, massages, and saw a chiropractor. My condition improved, but a nasty squeak in my head remained. I get upset because of this and have already imagined a bunch of illnesses for myself. So today, I found your forum and decided to write to you. Don't spare money on your health; the most important thing is to diagnose the disease correctly and not give up!!!! I'm now drinking beet kvass and lemon juice with garlic, herbs. And I alternate everything and believe in healing. And the diagnosis I was given is Dyscirculatory encephalopathy due to osteochondrosis. With this disease, they grant disability. So get treatment and let the state help. Good luck and happiness to you. And our happiness lies in our health.

Good afternoon. I've also developed tinnitus (noise in the head), it's been two years now. It's a ***** rarity. Nothing has helped except for antidepressants, which I was taking for depression.

Thank you, Lyuda! I've also methodically gone through everything and ruled out a lot. But the persistent buzzing is driving me to despair. The doctors are helpless. I'm treating myself, using the computer, and it's much more effective.

I think having an MRI scan is essential to identify the real cause. I had mine done in Moscow at MRI24 on Lilac Boulevard. They have a modern scanner there, everything is strictly by appointment, the prices are reasonable, and they offer discounts. You can visit any of their other centres as they have a whole network across Moscow. Check their website for prices and addresses.

I'm reaching out to the specialists. I've developed a cicada-like chirping sound after 3 acupuncture sessions, and it hasn't subsided for a day. What could be the issue? I'll ask my doctor, but I'd also like to hear from independent experts. I've become genuinely scared—could it be that the doctor inserted the needle in the wrong place? I never had any ringing before this procedure. Please help!!!

And have you tried asking the doctor what this might mean?? If you don't get an answer, go to a good neurologist. Get an MRI done.

Of course, get an MRI! Is Cherkizovskaya convenient for you? You can have it done at MRT24, they do a good job, by appointment, and they have a new scanner. I had mine done there last year; they have a network of centres across Moscow.

I am 44 years old. Tinnitus started 7 years ago. The diagnosis revealed that the auditory nerve was affected, and the cause was cervical osteochondrosis. I have tried many things and came to the conclusion that the main task is to prevent the condition from progressing, otherwise it will become difficult. I have come to terms with the situation; I do self-massage of the neck, neck exercises, and take vasodilators. It's important not to overexert oneself or get too cold (draughts are particularly dangerous).

I had a noise in my head, which usually appeared towards the end of the working day, accompanied by weakness and dizziness. It turned out that the blood vessels in my head had weakened, and to strengthen them, I was prescribed Vazobral, which helped a lot. The noise is gone now, and I feel well; the weakness and dizziness have disappeared. The doctor said that the sooner this condition is treated, the better.

I'm in a completely baffling situation. Both of my ears are blocked, like when you're on a winding mountain road. And it's getting worse with every hour. I assumed it was earwax, since I overuse cotton buds. By the evening of the next day, I was almost deaf. I was already lip-reading. I rushed to an ENT specialist. He said that due to injury, there was skin shedding and it had blocked the ear canal. He flushed it out. It felt better. The next morning, it all happened again, though not as intensely. I had it flushed again – relief once more. Now I can hear everything, albeit muffled. I sound like I'm speaking into myself, as sometimes happens with the flu. But a terrible noise has appeared in my head or ears – I can't even tell which. It's the second night I haven't slept. I'm already developing neurosis. My blood pressure shot up, all my muscles are trembling, I even feel nauseous. The ENT said that this noise probably isn't coming from my ears anymore, most likely it's vascular. But I've been taking Cavinton for two months. Why would there suddenly be such a vascular flare-up, and on top of that, this skin issue in my ears? It's such a strange coincidence. What could this be? I'm climbing the walls, especially in silence.

I had that too, and I experienced weakness; it's correctly mentioned above about Vazobral, and I took those tablets. They improve blood circulation and metabolism in the brain. After completing the course, the tinnitus went away, I feel refreshed, nothing bothers me, I can concentrate better at work, and my thoughts are clear and not muddled.

I have a buzzing in my head and a high-frequency whistling in my left ear. I've had numerous examinations, but the only one who figured it out was Natalya Stepanovna Alekseeva. She's from the Neurology Research Institute on Volokolamsk Highway. A doctor sent from heaven. Thorough and very knowledgeable. She specialises in ear noise and whistling. It turns out I have poor drainage from the head, and I need the opposite of what medications like Vazobral or Cinnarizine do. I had a duplex scan of the neck and head veins, but for the first time (and I've had this examination in various clinics and centres hoping to get to the truth), they did it sitting and lying down, telling me to strongly tense my abdomen and strain. They checked the vascular and venous valves and also did a blood viscosity test. They prescribed some Italian intravenous medication, any blood-thinning one like Thrombo ASS, and venotonics. And the buzzing is somehow subsiding. Treatment is absolutely necessary. Maintenance therapy, but competent. I've visited so many doctors... Oh, and don't get an MRI just anywhere. Many are uninformative or not confirmed at all. The MRI technician himself (from Korolyov, no less) advised me to go to the Clinical Endoscopy Centre on Enthusiasts Highway. They interpret the results competently there, and they have a new Siemens machine, Euro standard. Good luck to everyone, and get treated by proven specialists. Take care of your health and your money. Glad if I've helped.

I've got the same symptoms, buzzing in the head like near a transformer booth. Had an ultrasound of the vessels, also poor drainage, haven't made it to the neurologist yet. My thyroid isn't working well either, it's severely reduced, been on Euthyrox for 4 years, they say it affects the head vessels too. The buzzing started in early October.
Elena, please keep writing about how your treatment is going.

I recommend listening to or reading the works of Professor Neumyvakin; check out his lecture on YouTube about noises in the head (search for it online). The main idea there is that the cause of the noise is intoxication of the body, its clogging with toxins, or an infection due to a weakened immune system.

I found another exercise for the cervical spine on YouTube; there's a video uploaded by "Andrey on How to Live a Hundred Years, How I Got Rid of the Noise in My Head." It gave me hope. I want to start doing the exercises plus a diet for blood vessels. Excess weight also plays a role.

I've also spent a great deal of time and money on examinations and treatments, yet the buzzing in my head keeps increasing. I tried the neck exercises a couple of times, along with self-massage, and really liked it; it gave me hope. Everything is in our hands! Check it out on YouTube—everything is explained clearly and simply (the video by Andrey on how to live a hundred years, how I got rid of the noise in my head).

Hello. I've also developed a problem with noise in my head. It's only a pulsating noise and usually starts every evening before sleep. Please share what you know about this. Which doctor should I see first? And where should I begin with the examinations? This has been going on for about 2 months now. I'm very worried...

Hello everyone,
A problem of a similar nature occurred after a very severe headache. When I went to bed, my head was hurting, and pills didn't help—it felt as if something had locked up, and then ringing appeared... followed by a pulsating noise in my right ear... I suffered for two months and decided to get examined (the headache stopped as soon as the ringing started). I had an ultrasound, UEG, and something else, but so far, no cause has been found. I want to have an MRI; perhaps they'll find the reason. I'm glad to read and realize that I'm not alone in suffering and struggling with this issue.
As for advice, I'd say: avoid silence, as it causes discomfort that can lead to obsessive thoughts. And don't focus on the ringing—remember that your mindset and what you think about play a significant role.

Marina, in such cases, I'm prescribed intramuscular injections of Mexidol and Milgamma. It works out once a year – during flare-ups, usually in February.

On the contrary—when noise first appears against a background of stress, see a doctor immediately. If you aren't "revived" within a month, the problem will stay with you for life.
