No, don't think I'm here to whine. I've already been to the surgeon, of course. He confirmed it. Now I'm waiting for my turn for an ultrasound. Then it'll be clear. But something... I'm scared, I guess. The doctor reassured me, said it's quite likely to go away on its own. Has anyone else had this? Does it really go away on its own? I've also been taking contrast showers lately, could that have affected it? I don't know... I just want examples from others. It's no joke. It's my breast, after all... Thanks.
Don't worry, get an ultrasound and everything will become clear... they'll tell you what kind of growth it is, whether it needs to be removed or not. In most cases, it doesn't need to be removed, just monitored...
For example, I have a cyst in my breast... it's been several years now—it hasn't grown or shrunk... it's fine... I'm living my life...
I don't think the shower affects it...

I also have a small lump, but it turned out to be just the natural structure of the tissue.

It was there, then it went away on its own. I don't know what causes it. I only remember—my cycle was irregular back then. That probably affects it. Stagnation.

I recently discovered something similar in myself, went for an ultrasound, and they told me it's a tissue thickening that can appear with age, even though I'm only 24. They advised me to drink less coffee and quit smoking, of course, and eat more vegetables and fruits.

Don't be afraid, in most cases it's nothing serious. Although I myself found some small lump in my breast about 5-6 years ago and got scared. I'm still afraid to go to the doctor, and now there are already 5 of these lumps, with the latest one appearing in the other breast. Nothing hurts or bothers me (well, except maybe some asymmetry in my figure). If something terrible happens and I die, no one will even notice. And I don't want to be left without my breasts. Good luck to you!

I've had this for about four years for sure, and I'm only 21((( I get checked by a doctor every year, do ultrasounds, and I don't really suffer from it in principle, except even though the doctor says it's nothing serious, I still worry. It manifests as these lumps hurting and becoming inflamed before my period—I have them in both breasts, and not just one in each.
It's mastopathy. Maybe it will go away after you have a child.

Author, an ultrasound will show if it's a cyst or something else. If I were in your place and it's not a cyst, I would get a biopsy. Don't trust the doctor if they say it will go away on its own. Get a biopsy and you'll sleep peacefully, because a doctor can't tell exactly what it is just by feeling it. Are you in America? Check out www.youngsurvival.org.

I also had lumps in my breast, went to an oncologist, it was mastopathy. They didn't prescribe anything except sedatives and vitamins, and everything resolved during pregnancy.
So don't worry too much.

I also have lumps. I had an ultrasound and a mammogram done. The diagnosis was fibroadenomas (they increase significantly and hurt before menstruation). Basically, there's nothing terrible. They can resolve on their own. If they increase in size, they suggest removing them, which I really don't want. So far, knock on wood, everything is fine, I get checked once a year.

I also had mastopathy. I got two different opinions: at the Almaty Oncology Center (I pulled myself together and went there), they said I had mastopathy in the left breast, while in my hometown, they said there was nothing at all—that my breasts were so small you could feel the bone. After giving birth, things are fine now, and the gynecologist says my breasts are soft, but for some reason, they still ache from time to time. I can’t tell if it might be heart pain radiating there. Naturally, I’m worried—I’m quite the hypochondriac.

Thank you! You've reassured me. The most important thing is that it's not cancer. I don't want to be without a breast. I'll look up everything about mastopathy and cysts online now. I've only come across these terms before but never looked into them. And if they remove it, does the breast not get smaller? My breasts are already almost a size smaller as it is...
My period is also two whole weeks late... maybe that's somehow related...
And to the girl who's afraid to go to the doctor—you have to push yourself! I went right away. I don't like the feeling of uncertainty. My mom is like that—she has a bunch of ailments and doesn't know where they come from. Everything hurts, but she's afraid to go to the doctor. Actually, there's nothing scary about it at all!

A couple of days ago, I also discovered an oval-shaped lump in my breast that hurts when pressed. About a year ago, during a check-up, my gynecologist told me I had mastopathy but didn’t prescribe any treatment, and I didn’t really pay attention to it or treat it... Now I’m worried that maybe I should have started treatment right away, and it might have gotten worse.... I read online that mastopathy comes in two types: diffuse and nodular. The first type is treated with medication, while the second requires surgery. Could it be that my mastopathy has progressed from diffuse to nodular? I’m really worried about possibly needing surgery. My period is due in about 10 days, so I can’t go for an examination yet (they say you should go after it ends). Or maybe it’s just inflamed right before my period, and I’m worrying for nothing?

I also have a lump in my breast, and I think it's been there for a while. I didn't pay attention to it. But yesterday I felt it, and my breast started to hurt. Even though I'm only 18, I got scared that it might be something serious. I read some forums and felt a bit reassured. But I'm still kind of anxious.

I currently have a lump in my breast (I'm 19 years old). The last time I had such a significant lump was last winter, around the same time. I went to the doctor, and she said it's all due to hormonal changes (it might go away after childbirth). She prescribed Mastodynon drops and told me to apply Progestogel gel for a while. It seemed to help. By the way, I've heard the drops are pretty good even for prevention.
Oh, and also, the doctor recommended getting a scan, but I never went for it, hoping it would go away on its own and the medication would help. But overall, I think consulting a doctor in such cases is necessary.

I noticed a lump three days ago. I got worried. And now there are state exams on top of it. I'm sitting here studying and thinking I need to go see a doctor. It's kind of scary, but I'm not alone and I think everything will be okay. Hang in there, everyone. Everything will be fine.
I have had yellowish transparent discharge from my breasts for about 5 years (I am 24 years old). I was afraid to go to the doctor. Last year, I made up my mind and went. An ultrasound showed no lumps, and the lymph nodes were not inflamed. I was diagnosed with MASTOPATHY and prescribed vitamins, Progestogel, and Duphaston. None of it helped me.

I've discovered lumps in my breast and have yellow discharge; my breast hurts (I'm 44 years old). I'm afraid to go to the hospital and don't want to have a biopsy because I know that after it, people don't live long. Do you think this is cancer? Will a mammogram show a tumor, and does that mean it's cancer or not necessarily? Is a biopsy absolutely necessary?

A biopsy? Sorry, there's nothing about it that takes away any of your life's time. It's just an analysis, and why did you assume you have to do it? Possibly you just have mastopathy, but not at an early stage anymore, which is why the discharge appeared.

I'm really worried, I discovered a lump in my breast the day before my period, quite firm and about the size of a grape... I thought it would shrink by the third day of my period... but there's no change((( I'm very anxious because I live abroad and making a doctor's appointment will take a lot of time... and my nerves are on edge.... I'm 23.

I've had a lump in my breast for two years now. Currently, I'm breastfeeding, and it has grown larger, although I believe it will dissolve after breastfeeding—I've heard many stories like that. I've seen doctors who said it needs to be removed, but I'm hesitant. I'll wait and see what happens after breastfeeding.

Ever since my breasts grew, they've been firm right from the start. When I was around 17, I suddenly got scared and ran to a doctor I knew, an oncologist actually. She examined me and said everything seemed normal. She invited me to her hospital on a day when she consults with a mammologist. The mammologist examined me and said it's just the way they're structured—firm breasts that are unlikely to sag anytime soon.

Lena, a mammogram will definitely show a tumor, but that doesn't mean it's cancer at all. In such cases, a biopsy is absolutely necessary—how else would we know? And no one dies from it; they just need to take a sample from the lump. You won't even feel it!

I also found a painful lump in myself and really didn't want to go to the doctor, so I decided to examine my breast on my own. To my greatest surprise, when I massaged my breast and pressed as if to express milk, a viscous, very thick yellow substance, similar to pus but odorless, started flowing out. For about an hour, I squeezed it out drop by drop, and as a result, the lump disappeared, and now everything is fine!!!!!!!!

On the 10th day after my period, I experience discomfort in my breasts; they become enlarged, but the right breast becomes very firm, and when pressed, there is a slight tingling sensation. I am very worried! After my period, everything goes away... and it happens periodically... it's been more than 5 months since this started!

For two years, my breasts would start hurting a week before my period and the pain would go away on the first day of my cycle. Two months ago, I started taking the hormonal pills called Janine. Around the end of the first month of taking this medication, my breasts started hurting—severely and continuously—and the pain has persisted until now. I've also developed lumps. What is this? Could it be because of the pills?
Two days ago, a lump appeared in my breast, in the lower part. It hurts when pressed, and the borders are clearly defined. I don't know if I should see a doctor, I'm 16 years old. What do you advise?

I gave birth three weeks ago and am breastfeeding. About four days ago, I felt a small lump in my breast. I massaged my breast, thinking it might be a milk duct blockage, and expressed milk after feeding. But the lump is still there. Has anyone else experienced something like this specifically in the postpartum period?

I also have a small lump in my chest, but with clear contours. I'm 19 years old. Before my period, both breasts hurt quite a lot. It's been going on for a long time, and I'm afraid to go to the doctor or tell my mom. I already have so many problems... In previous years, I had a surgeon's check-up, and both times they just stamped me as healthy without me even asking them to examine me... Now I hope they'll actually look... and tell me something.

I also found a lump in myself, quite large... with the onset of my period, it "went down," but it was still there... I was scared for a long time, then I went to the doctor, and in 2 minutes, she extracted a large cyst from me with a syringe. It didn't hurt. So don't be afraid of anything and go to the doctor!

Cysts mainly occur in women aged 30 to 55. They are like a loose, smooth sac or blister within the glandular tissue. When pressed, it feels like there is fluid inside. When too much fluid accumulates in the cyst, this sac becomes firm to the touch and begins to cause severe pain. In such cases, doctors recommend aspirating the fluid from this nodular formation with a needle.

Yes, hormones definitely affect these lumps. I also had severe breast pain at night; I would get up and it would ache. I was afraid to go to the doctor, but I went anyway. They did an ultrasound, nothing serious, gave me treatment, and it seemed to go away, it didn't hurt as much. After the treatment, I got pregnant, gave birth, and it was like it was lifted by a hand. Now, thank God, everything is fine.

I've discovered some lumps, quite a few on both breasts. They're like little balls—but not exactly balls. More like nodules, from 2 cm and larger. Maybe they've always been there. I never really paid attention before. But they don't hurt. What should I do?
