Sharp pain in the ovarian area, which lessens when something cold is applied. And a strange pain near the neck in the collarbone area.

The period came on time, which was confusing. Then, spotting began. The pain was mild. The local gynaecologist immediately suspected an ectopic pregnancy and arranged for urgent hospitalisation. After the surgery, I underwent treatment (injections, physiotherapy, mud therapy). I became pregnant on the fourth cycle without contraception. My son is 19 years old.

If you are slender, while lying on your back, you may feel a small lump in the area of your ovaries.

Sharp pain. Prolonged abdominal bloating. Daily discharge, initially brown, then bloody. At the hospital, I found out I have a ruptured left fallopian tube and internal bleeding throughout :(

I can't remember exactly, it's been over 20 years. Sometime a few days after my period. Actually, ectopic pregnancy has very varied symptoms. My friend fainted (there was a tube rupture). But I managed to get to the hospital on my own.

First, the temperature rises. Then, there's a sharp pain in the abdomen to the point of fainting. Afterwards, loose stools and abdominal pain.

I don't remember, in the early weeks. It didn't start off too strong; I even went to the gynaecologist, who said there was nothing wrong. Later, I went to another one, who immediately sent me to pee in a cup, and it turned out I was pregnant. Sent me to the hospital. There, they performed a laparoscopy, everything was fine, they even saved the tube. It's worse for those whose tube bursts; they even lose consciousness then.

So, can you tell right away from a urine test whether someone is pregnant or not?

It's just that I had a urine test, and they said the result was excellent.

Up until the 5th week, the pregnancy was no different from a normal one, and the HCG levels matched the gestational age. Even an ultrasound detected a gestational sac in the uterus. However, right at the 5th week, pain in the area of the right ovary began, along with scant vaginal discharge that was brownish, sometimes bloody in colour. The doctor diagnosed a threatened miscarriage. A repeat ultrasound at 6 weeks showed no gestational sac in the uterus; scant bloody discharge continued, and the pain in the right side was not severe. The ultrasound identified a cyst on the right ovary (which was bleeding) and it was said to be nothing serious—a corpus luteum cyst that should resolve on its own due to a hormonal imbalance. A miscarriage was diagnosed, and on the same day, I immediately had a blood test for HCG, which was around 7000. A follow-up ultrasound was scheduled in 7-10 days. At the ultrasound 10 days later, the cyst on the right ovary was found again and had not decreased in size. There was no pain and no bloody discharge. Following the doctor's strong recommendation (the ultrasound was under the supervision of a gynaecologist), they tried to rule out an ectopic pregnancy by carefully examining the tubes, but unfortunately, nothing was seen. The day after the ultrasound, the HCG was around 24000 (10 days after the miscarriage diagnosis). Emergency hospitalisation by ambulance followed. In the admission ward of a regular municipal hospital, an ectopic pregnancy was immediately identified using an outdated ultrasound machine, not even with a transvaginal probe (the gestational sac was in the projection of the right ovary), and it was not a cyst at all. Laparoscopic surgery was performed with the removal of one fallopian tube. The cause was adhesions resulting from an appendectomy surgery in childhood.

Comments: The supposed gestational sac found in the uterus at 5 weeks was actually a blood clot, a "haematoma." All ultrasounds were done at a private clinic. MY advice is, if any...

Continuing from the previous message: my advice is, if you have any doubts, it's better to call an ambulance. A comprehensive examination, even in a municipal hospital, can preserve your health and prevent unfortunate outcomes.

Just like everyone else, I had pain in the lower abdomen and it hurt to go to the toilet. I called an ambulance, and they immediately scheduled me for surgery to remove the fallopian tube.

Please advise. My period came on time, and on the last day, I had sexual intercourse. Now, for the second week, I've been feeling nauseous after eating. I took a test, and it was negative. What could it be, please tell me.

Please advise on how to recover after an ectopic pregnancy, what physical therapy can be undertaken. Also, after how long can one resume sexual activity, and what contraceptives should be used, preferably without condoms. And after what period can one try to conceive again.

Please, could you advise me? My husband and I are trying for a baby and doing everything for it. On January 12th, I had ovulation (the ovulation test showed two lines). We have a regular sex life, so by the end of the month, I was expecting a delay and two lines on the pregnancy test! In short, I'm four days late, and the signs of pregnancy are evident: my breasts are swollen, I have slight nausea, etc. But this evening, I started having brownish discharge, and with it came a pulling, burning, aching pain in my left side. (I've never had this before.) I understand I need to see a doctor, and I'll make an appointment tomorrow if the pain doesn't stop. But I'm beside myself; I can't shake the thought of an ectopic pregnancy. Help me gather my thoughts!

Hello, girls! Just got back from the hospital today—had my left tube removed. I'll answer the questions that are often asked and that I myself was searching for answers to. Personally, I had no signs of an ectopic pregnancy, nor did I ever think something like this could happen to me. We were trying for a baby intentionally, the pregnancy was very much wanted, and for some reason, I was sure it would happen in February. So when I started feeling pregnancy symptoms even before my missed period, I wasn't surprised—this isn't my first pregnancy; I already have a little son. I recognized the familiar sensations, quietly rejoiced, and decided to wait for the missed period. Three days before my expected period, my hCG was 6, and on the day it was due, it was 23. The low hCG didn't raise any red flags for me then, as it matched the timeline. I waited a week and went to the gynecologist, happy and content, thinking I'd leave officially pregnant... but it didn't work out that way.

The doctor examined me on the chair and said I was 5-6 weeks pregnant, then took me for an ultrasound. Her expression immediately put me on edge. She performed the ultrasound right away but couldn't see the gestational sac—neither in the uterus nor in the tubes. She sent me for another ultrasound, and I decided to get a second opinion. They did another scan, and still nothing. The ultrasound technician told me not to worry, suggesting it might just be too early. I returned to my doctor with the results, but instead of reassuring me or asking me to come back later, she immediately referred me to the hospital. So, I went to the doctor to register for pregnancy and ended up leaving in an ambulance to the hospital!!! Girls, to answer the question: what were the symptoms? I had none!!!! No pain, no discharge, no bleeding, nothing—all the signs of a normal pregnancy!!!! And there were no signs right up until the surgery!!! In the hospital, they monitored me for a few days; my hCG was 166, and they couldn't see anything on the ultrasound. They decided to perform a diagnostic laparoscopy, and during it, they found the gestational sac in my left tube. Of course, I've shed many tears, and I have so many thoughts and questions, the main one being: why did this happen? With my first pregnancy, there were no problems at all—I only registered at 12 weeks and never had any concerns. I had no gynaecological issues either; just five months before, I had all my tests done, and everything was normal. The doctor gave me the green light to get pregnant. That's how it all happened. Those who've been through this will probably understand. The thought that it might happen again is the most tormenting. The doctor at the hospital said there is a chance, and no one is immune from it. Girls, does anyone have examples of successful pregnancies after an ectopic one? How did you prepare for pregnancy, and how long did it take? Good luck to everyone, it will all be okay!

Margarita, I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2009. Three months later, a doctor I know put me on anti-inflammatory therapy. According to the plan, an HSG was supposed to be done after 6 months, and only then could we try to conceive. But I couldn't wait that long, and in total, I got pregnant 6 months after the surgery (on the second attempt). My little son will soon be 2 years old.

The question of why it happened that way has remained unanswered...

Today, I felt pain in my left side and went online to read about it, where I came across your message.

At what stage does the fallopian tube rupture if left untreated?

And I had my period two weeks ago, but it was light. I had an ultrasound and everything was fine, tests are negative, I do have some slight pain occasionally, but I've had that before. Could it be an ectopic pregnancy? There's no bleeding.

And I had been going through it for a full day, as the doctor later said, after the tube rupture. They took me, the fool, to the hospital in an ambulance while I was unconscious. The pregnancy wasn't exactly planned, but since it happened, everyone was happy. I didn't want to go to the pathology ward—been there, done that (with my first daughter, we were there for a month and a half). So I kept putting it off until the last moment, thinking it would pass: well, my stomach hurts, but whose doesn't? And the shooting pain in my shoulder blade—probably just a chill, who hasn't had that? And these sensations, like needing to go to the loo—so what? That's the kind of silly woman you can be at 30! But when I fainted twice in the kitchen and split my head open on the corner, that's when my husband called the ambulance; I was already out of it. Now I have two birthdays.

I had a two-day delay and a very faint test. Then, some spotting appeared, and I took 4 Duphaston tablets hoping for a miracle. But eventually, it started flowing heavily at night. Now, my regular period has passed, and I'm experiencing a slight tingling in the uterine area. I also feel hungry more often. At work, they joked that I might be pregnant. When I got home, I took a test, and it showed a line, but my line isn't as bright as the control one. The same thing happened in the morning. I went for an ultrasound, and they didn't see a gestational sac. Tomorrow, the hCG results will be ready. Nothing hurts.

Girls, what could this be? Does it sound like an ectopic pregnancy???

I had an ectopic pregnancy—there were dark spotting, lower back pain, and occasional stabbing pains in the rectum. They performed a laparoscopy, I underwent treatment, and a year later, I gave birth. My little boy is already 6 years old! And everything will be fine for you too!!!
#31
Please, could you tell me all the symptoms of a normal pregnancy? I have no pains or discharge, the lines on the tests have only gotten darker over the past week, but at the appointment, the doctor said they couldn't see the uterus enlarging and that an ectopic pregnancy might be possible. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm completely worn out with worry; I'm going for an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon.

I'm telling you my story!

It was an ectopic pregnancy in May 2013

At first, there were no symptoms - just a feeling of discomfort inside, sometimes abdominal cramping, sometimes no appetite, sometimes feeling unwell. This condition lasted for about a month, with monthly periods being all right. Then, I started having low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, a temperature of 37, and pain in the lower abdomen. In the morning, we went for an ultrasound at a private clinic, and they immediately said - it's an ectopic pregnancy, and I was operated on within an hour!

Girls, don't delay with this matter; if you feel something is not right with you, don't be afraid to go to the gynaecologist, go for an ultrasound. My advice to you.

Instead of my period, I kept spotting and spotting brown... Light, pulling pains in the lower abdomen and the left ovary. My normal period didn't come, but there was just spotting... And at around 7 weeks at work, I started feeling unwell - I felt as if I needed to go to the toilet badly, with a strong pressure on the rectum and pain in the lower abdomen.

I called an ambulance. In gynaecology, an experienced, elderly gynaecologist, a Jewish woman, looked at me and immediately said, "I can see by her nose that she has an ectopic pregnancy!"

She took a syringe, performed a puncture... It was painful... There was blood visible in the syringe.

The doctor said, "To the operating theatre!" They gave me an enema right there and took me to the operating theatre.

Everything lasted until 1:10. They removed the left tube.

I was discharged, I don't remember, I think on the fifth day... It was a long time ago...

Girls, don't be afraid that you won't be able to conceive after the removal of one tube.
I've been pregnant several more times, right up until I was 42 years old.
But I had an ectopic pregnancy because of the coil, just two months after it was inserted.
When they did the puncture, they removed the coil as well.
That's why coils and all sorts of clips are very unreliable methods for those who are past their prime.
And hormonal contraceptives are dangerous with their consequences.
Give birth, girls!

I want to share my story. I'm 25 years old and have been sexually active since I was 17. For eight years, there were no pregnancies. My husband and I started planning, and I underwent numerous tests—all were fine, and his spermogram was good. However, during an internal ultrasound, the doctor noticed an enlargement in my left tube and diagnosed me with chronic salpingo-oophoritis, recommending laparoscopy. I postponed the surgery for two months because the clinic where it was scheduled has quite high prices, and I needed to save up. I didn't want to change clinics as they have professors and new equipment.

Then, in October, my period, which usually comes like clockwork, didn't arrive. I waited and didn't check because eight years of unsuccessful attempts had left me without hope. My husband bought a test and urged me to take it—and there they were, two lines! Overjoyed and in tears, I went to the gynecologist, who confirmed a 7-week pregnancy and registered me. My happiness was boundless, but it didn't last long. I started having mild pulling pains at night and grew worried, not wanting to lose this long-awaited miracle.

In the morning, I rushed for an ultrasound and was diagnosed with a 5-week tubal pregnancy on the right side. The emotional pain was so intense I couldn't see what was around me; the tears came from the depths of my soul. During the surgery, they saved the tube but had to cut through a lot—I emphasize, a lot—of adhesions. According to the doctor, my left tube is non-functional and has lost its purpose. As a result, I have only one operated tube left. My chances are slim.

Now, I'm undergoing treatment with physiotherapy, suppositories, and injections. In three months, I'll have an HSG. I'm in despair, feeling powerless and terrified of remaining childless. Please, can anyone share if there have been successful pregnancies after something similar? Thank you in advance!

In my case, there were absolutely no pains, and everything seemed fine except for the pregnancy test, which showed one bright line and the other not very distinct. On the 13th day of the delay, spotting began, first brownish, then pink, and alternating back to brown... This lasted for a week; I grew tired of the discharge and consulted a doctor. An ectopic pregnancy was not identified on the ultrasound, even though it was performed five times transvaginally, but no fetus was visible in the uterus either. They performed a laparoscopy, and it was only then that the ectopic pregnancy was confirmed (the tube ruptured right during the surgery). The surgery was two weeks ago and went quite successfully; the doctor said that after this, I should be able to have children without any issues.

There was a 4-day delay, then my period started. During the delay, I visited the doctor for a check-up, and they said pregnancy was possible and sent me for an ultrasound. The ultrasound did not show a pregnancy. My period lasted 7 days and was heavy; usually, I have severe stomach pain during my period, but this time it hardly hurt at all. It's been 10 days since my period ended, and now I have bloody discharge and pain in the lower abdomen (more on the left side). Could it be an ectopic pregnancy?

During my ectopic pregnancy, I had abdominal pain, specifically very strong pulling pains, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Then, on the right side, I started feeling a tingling sensation, not too intense but quite noticeable, and I had a temperature of 37.3°C. I went for an ultrasound, and it turned out I had a tubal pregnancy on the right side at 5 weeks!

In 2012, I had two ectopic pregnancies, both tubal, even though I had normal pregnancies before. Everything seemed usual – a three-day delay, I took a test, and it showed two lines, though faint. But after two weeks, bleeding started. I thought it was a miscarriage, called an ambulance, they took me, performed a D&C, treated me, and sent me home. No one paid attention to the fact that the test remained positive and even became brighter, even though I mentioned it to the doctor. They said the hCG hadn't dropped yet. A week later, I took another test – the second line was still red and bright. I went for an ultrasound, but they found nothing. Meanwhile, pregnancy symptoms persisted – nausea and my breasts had grown much larger. I went to the hospital, but it was useless. Until one evening, pain in my left side started and bleeding began. And again, the same cycle. They did an ultrasound, and it turned out to be a tubal pregnancy at 7-8 weeks. Emergency surgery – they removed my left tube. I won't describe what I went through there. Eight months later, it happened again. No, we were being treated and really wanted a child. This time, I already knew what could happen. They took a scan of the tube and said everything was fine. Yeah, right. Apparently, it was just 'my year.' A three-day delay and again, discharge. I urgently went to the hospital and practically screamed at the doctor to check what was going on. Ectopic in the second tube, at 2 weeks. They performed laparoscopy urgently, saved the tube, though they warned that an operated tube has an 85% chance of malfunctioning and could lead to another ectopic. The outcome: not a single ectopic pregnancy passes without discharge! If there's even the slightest spotting, you must urgently go to the gynecology clinic. Then it can be detected early, saving the tubes and, of course, your life. Even if it seems like a miscarriage and you've had a D&C, there's a test that shows whether there's something there or not, though it could be anywhere. By the way, I'm now five months pregnant – the tube worked as it should!

I had an abortion 6 days ago, and after it, the doctor said she couldn't find a fetus at 5 weeks—it was much smaller, although the ultrasound showed five weeks. The pain hasn't subsided to this day, with a pulling sensation on the lower left side, and it has started to bleed a little. I'm in the hospital on a drip, with suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy? Does that even happen?

Please tell me, after an ectopic pregnancy abortion, is the scar large? I had an ultrasound today, and there's a suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy... I didn't really manage to ask the doctor anything because I couldn't see anything around me, I don't remember how I got home. I'm very scared, absolutely terrified... Please tell me how all of this goes.
