Got this diagnosis based on biochemistry and ultrasound results. Had the check-up after COVID and this is what they found. Nothing hurt before this, now there's a dull ache in my right side. Anyone else with the same problem, what are you treating it with, what are you eating? Let's chat
"...it's aching in the right side now..." That ache isn't the liver—it has no nerve endings. The gallbladder works in tandem with the liver and they suffer together. It's not all that straightforward.

Nothing was found on the ultrasound regarding the gallbladder - walls aren't thickened, no sediment - everything's fine

Just ask the doctor who gave you that diagnosis—it's all individual, and you need the doctor's advice.

Ultrasound is rubbish, doesn't show the organ's condition (whether it's diseased or not) All organs work in pairs (look online: human paired organs), Like on scales: equilibrium - normal, imbalance - problem with both (excess energy is bad, lack of energy is also bad). There's also energy stagnation in organs, but that's a complete disaster..

of course I asked. I created this topic to chat with people who have similar problems, not to be sent back to the doctor.

"... not to be sent to a doctor." Then you need a specialist... no idea which one... Are there any here? Did you pick the wrong forum?
You need to see a hepatologist. It's practically impossible to cure. It's not living, it's being on a strict diet. They prescribe hepatoprotectors. A smart hepatologist said it's a money-making scam. They practically do nothing. Now they prescribe Ursosan. The dose according to weight. Take it for 3 months. Some relief is possible.

Ursosan doesn't suit me. They prescribed Heptral. The doctor wasn't so pessimistic, but the treatment is long.

These are drugs of the same class. Get treated. If your body is young enough, you'll manage.

I have fatty liver disease🙃 My life is a diet. An endless diet. Pain from breaking the diet. Sometimes I fall into depression (very often and I see no meaning in my life). In my case, breaking the diet leads to pain (I don't know how it is for you). I take medication when things get really bad. The doctor says not to break the diet and so on and so forth. It's very difficult. On the plus side, I do eat! At least all the anorexics would envy my bones.😘 Obesity is no longer a threat to you.

Are your liver indicators and ultrasound normal now? How long have you been on the diet?

All the best!
Girls, we don't even have proper doctors here. I talk to lots of people, and I've had to go round the doctors myself. They just swap one set of tablets for another, one doctor sends you to another doctor. It's a vicious circle. There are no good doctors. Wishing you all happiness and good health!

Oh, I know that feeling.. that's exactly why I'm asking those who are already undergoing treatment or on a diet—I'm interested in what exactly people eat, what restrictions they have, etc... there's just so much information out there

I didn't have fatty liver disease. After taking oral contraceptives, my right side started aching. An ultrasound showed sand and small stones in my gallbladder. The doctor said that oral contraceptives trigger stones and there's also a hereditary factor. They prescribed Ursosan to dissolve the stones. I took it for a long time. It didn't help. I'm not taking it now. The doctor doesn't recommend removal yet.

On the right side, there is also the duodenum. If the diet is not followed, it can cause pain. Have a gastroscopy done as well to rule out any issues with it.

My cousin has fatty liver disease, but she doesn't feel any pain. She is overweight and eats whatever she wants, including fatty foods. The doctor doing the ultrasound said she can tell right away if someone has fatty liver disease. If there's excess weight, then yes. It's like the liver of a fat goose. Excess fat accumulates on any organs. The more overweight you are, the more it deposits on larger organs, including the heart.

No, not from the same category. Ursosan doesn't lower cholesterol. It prevents bile from crystallising and turning into stones. Heptral, on the other hand, is specifically for lowering cholesterol. I've taken both.

It doesn't hurt until it does... If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't eat everything in sight and would lose weight.
If cholesterol is elevated, Heptral is prescribed.
That's exactly what they prescribed.

For diabetes and liver issues, I used to drink artichoke leaf infusion, but then I switched to Hoficin. With tablets, there's less hassle. No need to brew, steep, or strain, and the effect is the same. For women during menopause, it's an excellent remedy overall, as it helps regulate hormonal balance.

Hello. I've also been diagnosed with hepatosis. It was discovered by chance. I gained weight from overeating—pardon my language, I really stuffed myself with belyashi, pizza, fried foods... basically, a lot of trans fats, carbs, and late-night meals. I have cholecystitis. After such feasting, my side started to hurt. The doctor sent me for an ultrasound, and that's how they found it. Now, I'm on a diet, drinking more water, and doing aerobic exercises (walking, cycling, or using an exercise bike). I took Hofitol for a month to help with bile flow, as I felt really bloated. The hepatologist prescribed Ursosan, but it was discontinued. It didn't suit me; it aggravated my gastritis. They've now prescribed Esslidin. And, of course, weight loss is part of the plan.

You're wrong, fatty liver disease occurs in both thin people and overweight people. Being overweight doesn't necessarily mean you have fatty liver disease. Fatty liver can start after taking medication, after rapid weight loss, after having an illness. The main thing is following a diet and taking hepatoprotectors, although their effectiveness isn't proven, but doctors prescribe them. You also need to monitor ALT and AST levels and other liver indicators. And you also need to move a lot. It's hard to find a good, competent doctor, but you shouldn't despair. If you have fatty liver disease, then there are likely problems with the gallbladder, pancreas, and intestines too.

Good evening. Could you please tell me if you've had persistent pain in your right side? I've been taking Yasmin for over a year and a half and never thought it might be due to that. About three weeks ago, I had blood tests done, and the doctor said everything was normal, nothing to even question. Occasionally, I get a pain in my right side just under the ribs, which lasts for a few days and then goes away. I'm planning to go for an ultrasound in the coming days.

My brother has this diagnosis. The doctor prescribed a diet and physical activity, along with some pills as well.
After watching Dr. Petrik on YouTube, I learned that there's no magic cure for fatty liver disease—only physical activity, diet, and lifestyle changes. Either Dr. Petrik or another doctor mentioned that pain on the right side might occur because the liver enlarges and, as I understood, ends up pressing on something somewhere. Liver markers aren't reliable indicators; only an ultrasound is.
Get well soon!

The liver is already diseased, holding on by a thread, as fat has replaced its cells. And if a person continues to eat indiscriminately, cirrhosis with ascites and a painful death lie ahead.
