My friend hasn't shown any symptoms for six years, doesn't follow any diet, and enjoys drinking beer. Previously, when we used to take the children to the playground, she would just try a couple of shop-bought crackers, and that was it: she'd get a girdle-like pain for days, a splitting headache, and so on. I asked her what helped her, but she doesn't really say much. Something like the Coral Club helped: water and Kolovada. I don't know; at the same time, she had just gotten divorced and was living very poorly, basically on a diet of porridge and vegetables. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

I was diagnosed with this condition at 14, and the pain troubled me periodically. Once, while staying at my grandmother's in the village, I drank fresh goat's milk three times a day for three months and forgot about the pain. I'm 30 now.

I'm getting by with rosehip broth and a couple of days of fasting.

I managed with a diet. In the morning, it's essential to have oatmeal cooked in water, a sandwich with Karat cheese (4% fat), toasted white bread in a toaster, and natural yogurt (you can add dried apricots or muesli). I eliminated fried, smoked, spicy, and fatty foods... Now things have normalized, and I occasionally allow myself a small deviation from the rules. Medication: Panzinorm, Panzinorm-Forte.

During flare-ups, it helps to have: fasting, cold, and rest. Otherwise, regular eating is touch wood, touch wood, touch wood.

Author, our doctors chronically set things on automatic, because the regular ones should cure them. :)

I was diagnosed with this condition and treated it with fasting and a specific diet. It all cleared up, and I haven't had any flare-ups for over two years. I no longer follow the diet.

How long did you follow the diet?

For about three months, I followed a strict diet, and now I simply avoid eating any junk. The flare-ups only happen when I overdo it with alcohol, so I try to keep a handle on my drinking. :)

Could you be more specific about the strict diet? I had acute pancreatitis a month and a half ago, and I've read through loads of diets, but they seem like a death sentence if you have to eat according to them. Please list exactly what one can eat for three months. I've been in constant pain since leaving the hospital a month and a half ago. Thank you.

I've also been suffering from pancreatitis for two months now. It's just that I lack patience. As soon as I start feeling better, my hand reaches for a marshmallow or a jelly sweet. As for the diet, I'll share mine: my daily menu with five meals a day includes low-fat cottage cheese (0-5%), a piece of boiled meat (100g), oatmeal or buckwheat with butter, possibly with raisins or dried apricots (a little), vegetable puree (boiled vegetables with added butter, turmeric, and dill seeds, blended), a soft-boiled egg every other day, sprouted wheat grains, dried white bread, and crispbread. Baked apples, non-acidic ones, are allowed too.

And I was unexpectedly diagnosed, but it's unclear why! I had a congenital kink in my gallbladder. Excruciating, gut-wrenching pain isn't something I experience. Yes, there's occasional discomfort in the stomach area—tolerable—Almagel or charcoal, and it's fine. Yet, the diagnosis was practically made in absentia—when I smoked, I lost weight; when I quit, I gained, and then they found my sugar levels were above normal. I haven't undergone any examinations at all. No one says a word about diet. And I already know what doesn't sit well with my stomach. So, I completely agree with Guest No. 6—proper examination is necessary. Making a diagnosis, even for a simple cough, is very difficult at first glance. Stay healthy! And good luck finding a knowledgeable doctor!

I am 60 years old. After turning 40, health issues began. Chronic cholecystitis, followed by chronic pancreatitis, then hypotension, tachycardia, and arrhythmia. Gout and intercostal neuralgia. Sand and stones in the kidneys. I could only stand for half an hour and had to lie down for 3-4 hours. I had no energy. Medications cost 350 grams per month. It was barely manageable. I was treated in hospitals for 12 years with no results. Within a year of cleansing my body of parasites, I got rid of almost all illnesses. It's unclear why our doctors don't consider it necessary to advise patients to cleanse their bodies of parasites before starting treatment. People are right to say: if you have more than one illness, begin treatment by cleansing your body of parasites. 80 percent of all diseases have one root cause—parasites. Read and watch videos about parasites. Recipe: 1kg of bitter pepper, 1kg of tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of salt—boil and preserve in jars. Gradually increase pepper intake to 1-3 teaspoons a day. For pancreatitis, cholecystitis, and arrhythmia, take tablets. I took Hepeel, Panzinorm, Allochol, Cardiomagnyl, and others. At first, it was tough—there were too many parasites in the body. Now, diet and tablets are in the past. Before starting self-treatment, think carefully. If possible, get rid of parasites with the help of doctors.

I didn't have a chronic condition, but an acute one. Flax seeds soaked in boiling water on an empty stomach, pancreatin or Pangrol with meals, and No-Spa for pain. Currently, I'm not following any diet.

Chronic pancreatitis is a fairly common condition characterised by periodically occurring pain and signs of exocrine and endocrine insufficiency. In chronic pancreatitis, irreversible pathological changes occur in the parenchyma of the pancreas. Among the factors contributing to the development of pancreatitis are excessive alcohol consumption, gallstone disease and its complications. With significant changes in the pancreas, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus develops. Treatment of chronic pancreatitis begins with the prescription of a diet. It is necessary to exclude fried, fatty, salty, and spicy foods from the diet. Patients are prescribed non-narcotic analgesics, antispasmodics, and anticholinergic drugs. For exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, enzyme preparations (such as Panzinorm, Festal, Creon) are indicated. Treatment of chronic pancreatitis should be carried out under the strict supervision of a specialist.

I was watching various videos about pancreatitis and came across this channel, don't take it as advertising. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vGZS0O9ZAg

It seems to cover everything about pancreatitis and is quite concise, might be useful for someone.

This doctor lady says that there can be pains on an empty stomach, which I understand happens during flare-ups, has anyone experienced this?

Hello. I've been diagnosed with gastroduodenitis, colitis, and pancreatitis. I've been ill for half a year. The main issue is that the pain and burning aren't just in the epigastrium; it has also started in the kidneys, and actually, it radiates along the spine, lower back, and even gynaecologically. Sometimes I can't sleep all night and have had to use sleeping pills. Has anyone experienced this? An abdominal ultrasound found nothing in the kidneys, and a pelvic ultrasound was clear too. I've had accompanying osteochondrosis and scoliosis since childhood. And I've been hypertensive since I was 15. I don't have the opportunity to see good doctors. My weight is such that it's close to anorexia. And now, having to fast for three days and follow a strict diet. I'm even having suicidal thoughts, though I want to live. But when will all this end? I'm 25.

I disagree with the diagnoses, pancreatitis yes but that's all very simple - strict diet during flare-ups and a tasty diet during remission, check your gallbladder maybe all the problems are there - burning, itching, nausea etc. If it's not that then go on a diet - you'll get used to it, do eccentric exercises for your spine, it will help.

I'm 22. After an open surgery (for a ruptured cyst), I've been having constant complications, one after another, practically living at the doctors'. Recently, I started feeling pain in my left side and was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. I'm following a diet and taking Almagel, Gaviscon, Pancreatin, Omeprazole, and Mebeverine.

Since childhood, I've had biliary dyskinesia.

What's troubling me is whether I'll have to stick to this strict diet for the rest of my life. I can't survive without bread and sweets. And I don't want to be the odd one out at celebrations (it's not that I can't live without alcohol and fried food, but sometimes in company, I'd like to indulge).

Hello everyone! Don't lose hope—I've recovered and now even drink wine occasionally without any consequences. I had acute pancreatitis that later tried to flare up again. I won't bore you with the details, but in short, drink Isotov's jelly (you can find it online) and a celandine decoction in the morning on an empty stomach. And, surprisingly, take sedatives (the effect is powerful), at least a calming herbal blend. I was lucky to have a good doctor.

My diagnosis is chronic pancreatitis. I had a rotavirus infection. Now, I've also been diagnosed with post-infectious IBS. My stomach hurts, and I have diarrhea only in the morning. I'm taking Duspatalin and De-Nol, although it seems there are no erosions. My mood is terrible, somewhat panicky. Is the treatment correct? The doctor seems quite good.

Diet is mandatory, though it's really hard until you get used to it. From constantly taking Mezim my stomach started hurting. I drank dill seed infusion and various herbal teas. Now I've started treatment with Biomeds. It stops attacks within 10 minutes. Also my BRT doctor promised to restore my pancreas within six months.

Hello everyone!
I've had pancreatitis since I was 12 😞😬. In the past, flare-ups were frequent because I've been living without my mum since I was 14 and didn't really worry about sticking to a diet. But thank goodness, I managed to avoid developing diabetes!
I'm 27 now, and just three weeks ago, I had another flare-up! (Before that, I was in remission for about 5 years consistently))) During those 5 years, I didn't drink or eat any junk (like fried sausages, scrambled eggs, hot dogs, and other nasties), lost weight, and looked great... Now I'm living in Spain, and around New Year's, it was my own fault—I ate poorly for a whole month and triggered a flare-up. I must say, they got me back on my feet very quickly!!! The Spanish are just brilliant) But what I noticed as different is that in the first 3-4 days of a flare-up, when you're on a drip, you MUST NOT drink any water!!! Not even rosehip tea or anything!!!! They told me that anything entering the stomach stimulates the pancreas!!! So there you go. I recovered very quickly, which I'm really happy about!

As for the diet! There's nothing to discuss!! You have to stick to it for life!!! There's no room for debate here! Do you want to die prematurely? Of course, after a year or so post-flare-up, you can have a bit of pizza or chocolate... but very moderately ☝🏻
I wish us all luck in our treatment and no more flare-ups. But from now on, our constant companion is the diet (Diet 5) 🤘🏻💪🏻👍🏻

Hello everyone! I'm suffering from chronic cholecystitis...(( I'm so tired. The pain isn't too bad, but the nausea... it's awful, I'm fed up with it. I'm taking immortelle and Duspatalin. I can't sleep at night, I wake up shivering, constantly thinking about food—how I'll eat it, how nauseous I feel. I've lost weight. I want to gain it back. How??? I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to ask for some sedatives. I don't know what to eat...

Hello. I decided to share my experience in treating pancreatitis. After consuming a large amount of fatty food, I had a pancreatitis attack. Even pharmacy medications didn't relieve the pain, but ground flaxseeds helped—half a teaspoon in the morning and at night, along with unsweetened jelly. Give it a try; it passes very quickly. Painkillers didn't even help me. Wishing everyone good health.

Hello. My name is Emma. I am 56 years old. I was also hospitalised with an exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis. The flare-up was treated, and I was discharged, but I've been suffering for three months now. I was told that my pain is due to my liver. I was prescribed Ursosan and Phosphogliv. It seems a bit better, but I'm losing weight very quickly. I've lost 35 kg in three months. If I eat even a little, the pain starts. Can someone please tell me exactly what I can eat during remission?

I've just recovered from acute pancreatitis - 10 days in hospital on IV drips, with cold compresses, three days of fasting, and complete rest. After discharge: prescribed Pancreatin 10,000 units twice daily, but I'm taking 50,000 units with meals several times a day, Omez twice daily, and Duspatalin for pain (it really helps). I've had my gallbladder removed and have type 2 diabetes. The diets conflict, and I'm struggling because my blood sugar spikes. Never drink wine, whether homemade or store-bought. My doctor told me: don't gorge on lard and don't drink vodka. I agree with him.

Girls and boys, lately I've been complaining about pain in my pancreas and indigestion. What initial steps would you recommend taking?
#45
You need a diet. You probably don't have proper lunches at work and eat whatever's available, which could lead to serious problems for you later on.
Ольга

I'm already following it, no need to lecture me—I'm aware of my health and have, so to speak, "found the right path." But my digestive system still acts up, and I can't always stick to it.

It's really very good that you've started paying attention to your diet. If that's not enough, you probably need to take a course of some enzyme supplement. When I had pancreatitis, I took Pangrol, and I was, of course, very pleased with it. Gradually, I reduced the dosage, my pancreas got a rest, and little by little, I managed to wean myself off the enzymes.

I was also advised by my doctor to take Pangrol, and my condition has already improved with its use.

I'm treating my pancreas with a decoction of celandine and burdock. It helps. I've gradually started doing housework again. I'm already eating without painkillers. Though I'm also taking Ursosan and Phosphogliv. Give it a try. Boil 1 teaspoon of celandine and 1 teaspoon of burdock in 1 cup of water for a minute. Cool it down, strain, and drink it four times a day. That's every 4 hours. Make a fresh decoction every day. The course is two weeks. Take a month's break and then repeat.
