I had a week's delay, was just about to buy a test when in the evening my lower back started aching and brown spotting appeared. I calmed down, my periods always start like that. The next day I expected them to become as heavy as usual, but it just kept spotting and pulling in my lower back and stomach for about five days. And that was it, nothing more happened. I was sure it was a hormonal imbalance, I'd had such scanty periods a couple of times before. But I decided to go for an ultrasound to check what was wrong with my health, I wasn't thinking about pregnancy at all. And in the end the doctor almost as soon as she put the probe on said: you're 6 weeks pregnant, there's even a heartbeat already! I'm in shock! Has anyone else had this, how did it affect the pregnancy later? I always think such spotting isn't quite normal?
That's exactly how it was for me, Author :) only the spotting started at five weeks, and I already knew I was pregnant. It all ended after about three days, and there was nothing else until the birth.

I had spotting for the first two months, and two of my friends also experienced it in their first month. It's not such a rare occurrence. It didn't affect the pregnancy at all; everything is fine.

Had that woman started menopause? How can one confuse stomach pains with pregnancy?

[quote="Guest"]I had periods every month for four months. I was very surprised when I found out I was 19 weeks pregnant. And you say. I'm petite myself, 48 kg at 168 cm. I just gained about five kilos.
Were your periods heavy? Or was it spotting, like the author - Margo?

She didn't know. She thought it was stomach problems since it was aching, and when it really seized up at work, they thought it was appendicitis. But she was a large woman.

I don't remember anymore. As I said, I got better, my appetite returned, and I changed my bra from a second to a third size. I suspected something, but thought I was overthinking it, since my periods were coming, so everything seemed fine.

How did you find out you were pregnant? Did your periods stop?

I've been through that. In February, my period didn't come, there was just spotting—it happened to me every spring. I was calm, thinking it would just be light bleeding and then my period would follow. I didn't feel anything unusual. Then in March, on the 6th, I booked an ultrasound, just like the original poster mentioned in point 'margo'. The doctor had barely placed the probe when she said it was a 6-week pregnancy. I still can't believe it. I don't know what to do—whether to keep it or not. I'm 33, and this is my first pregnancy.

My period was 3 days late, then it did come, but it wasn't the same as usual - not heavy. There was no stress, could this be pregnancy? I took a test before my period started, and it was negative.

There was a 10-day delay. My basal temperature was 37.0 during the delay. I took tests, and they were negative. Then my period came, but it was quite light—my stomach didn't even hurt, only my ovaries felt a bit pulled. And it didn't last the usual 6-7 days, only 4 days. Now I'm sitting here wondering if it could be pregnancy. I'll go for an ultrasound soon to have them check, maybe it's a hormonal imbalance.

I had a 3-day delay. Then, there were scanty brown discharges instead of my period. One test was negative, the second had a faint second line. All the symptoms of pregnancy are there, including nausea and everything else. Unprotected intercourse was 2 weeks ago. What is this? PLEASE, IF ANYONE KNOWS, TELL ME.

Hello girls. Could you please advise if anyone has experienced something similar: I've gained 12 kilograms in the last three months (was 58, now 70). In September, while helping my mother-in-law dig up potatoes, I had terrible nausea and dizziness, and now I've noticed that my periods have become quite light (they usually last 5-6 days), but in November and since September, there's hardly anything, just three days. I'm a bit scared to go to the doctor or for an ultrasound; I'm 22, married, and I'm afraid because I've just been lucky to start an official job. So that's the situation. Please respond, I'd be delighted)))

What do you think, am I pregnant? The test was negative, but I have nausea and my areolas have bumps.
A 3-day delay, and on the 4th day, what seems like light periods—which is completely unusual for my body, as it has always been on time and very heavy. The tests are negative. We really want a little one; during the delay, there was hope, but now I don't know what to think.

My period started four days early, but without any pain and very light... it was just spotting for three days. I took a test, and it was negative. There are no signs of pregnancy, but my previous periods were all very painful, heavy, and lasted 7-10 days. Could such a sudden change indicate pregnancy? Or can a hormonal imbalance occur so drastically in just one cycle?

Hi girls :) I've got this issue – I had a delay of almost a month, went for a check-up and was told it was 8 weeks. Three days later, on the day my period was due, I started having some discharge, but not heavy. I went to another doctor, and she said there's no pregnancy. Now I really don't know what to think :( Has anyone else experienced something similar? Help.

Hello everyone, could you please advise, last month my period was from the 25th to the 30th. A week after the start of this month, I began feeling unwell with nausea but no vomiting, and occasional dizziness. My period came on the 21st and ended on the 23rd, very light and not as usual, and today there was dark cherry spotting. What could this be?
Could you advise, please! Instead of my period, I've had brown spotting that comes and goes every other day—present one day and nothing the next. On the fourth day, my lower back was aching. Could this indicate pregnancy or not? The test is negative, and I'm feeling sluggish.
Two months ago, I had an ultrasound, and no abnormalities were detected.

Hello everyone. My husband and I have been planning. It's the second month we've been trying. Now, there's been a delay since September 22nd. I took a test on September 27th, and it showed nothing, but on September 29th and October 2nd, it showed a faint second line! I don't feel pregnant. That is, there are no signs at all. No nausea, nothing has changed physically either. I suspect the term might be at most 2 weeks! Since we were in different countries and had sex a week before the expected period. In general, I'm waiting. Today, there was a little bit of brown discharge, just a drop really.
The lower abdomen is aching a bit like before a period..

There was a week's delay in my period; we used withdrawal as contraception, and before that, I had been taking contraceptive pills for three months. Three days ago, I started spotting a little, light red in colour, and yesterday there was just one drop. Since last night, I've been feeling nauseous and barely managed to fall asleep. I'm extremely tired and constantly feel like sleeping. I took a test after the week's delay, and the result was negative. What could this be?

Hello everyone! I had sex two months ago... after that, I had my period (seemed normal)... But since then, they've become very light... lasting a maximum of 2 days... one pad is enough, and there's still plenty of space left on it... though my periods have always lasted up to 3 days at most, they used to be heavy... What could this be?

Hello everyone)
Can anyone tell me if they've experienced something like this.
I had unprotected intercourse, then about 5 days later started feeling unwell, and a week after the intercourse, there were drops of blood (around mid-cycle), I felt nauseous, was vomiting in the evenings, had terrible back pain, breast and shoulder blade pain (still hurts now). My period was due on November 26th but started on the 23rd with brown spotting, then something similar to my usual days but completely painless, although before I always had stomach pain and they came on time. I went to the gynecologist on November 20th, and everything was fine with me. Tests are negative. Can I still hope for pregnancy?

Hello girls!! I've got a real problem here—no matter how much my husband and I try for a baby, it's just not happening......... I went to the hospital, but knowing our doctors... they diagnosed me with polycystic ovary syndrome just from an ultrasound, though as far as I know, that's not enough. Then they said endometriosis... without even an ultrasound, just during a check-up!!! They claimed only laparoscopy would help!!! I didn't dare go through with it... and there's no chance to get checked in another city...... it's way too far!!! I took matters into my own hands a bit and drank a course of "Borovaya Matka," and knowing my body, you can imagine my surprise....... my period came on time, but it was very light, no pain, no symptoms... nothing at all...... I took tests, one positive, the other negative...... I'll wait a couple of days and take another one, but it's all just so weird!!! I've been feeling a bit nauseous all this time....... and terribly tired...... what do you think??? Could this be possible?? Could a miracle actually happen)))

I'm just so confused about all this... My period was from November 28th to December 4th... We didn't use protection all month (we're trying to conceive). Around the 20th of December, I had dental work done (which was incredibly stressful for me personally). From the 27th, my lower back started aching... I thought my period would start on time (though usually, the aching happens after it's already started), but nothing came. On the 28th, I noticed streaks of blood on the toilet paper, so I thought, 'Okay, it's starting then...' But on the 29th, nothing, and the 30th and 31st were the same... What a way to ring in the New Year ((( All the tests were negative!!! On January 1st, it started with brown spotting and continued like that until January 11th!!!!! It was just a nightmare—first time something like this has happened, sometimes a drop, sometimes just a smear (I used panty liners). On the 9th, while it hadn't even ended yet, I saw a gynaecologist; she examined me!!!! took tests, and said there's clearly no pregnancy!!! The results came back fine. I took Ascorutin for 5 days to stop the spotting... But here's the catch—I feel nauseous... my breasts are a bit sore... but the tests are negative. One possibility: the last time we had intercourse was December 20th!!! Could it be late ovulation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???? And that's why both the tests and the doctor are wrong????

Girls, share your experiences, who had a pregnancy just before their periods??
Vika, it can!!!!!! I had a similar story... and after the first course of Borovaya Matka, I got pregnant too, and it's all because Borovaya Matka relieves all inflammatory processes and dissolves all polycystic foci. Because of that, the chance of getting pregnant is much higher!

It's possible that the doctor is mistaken,))) I'm very curious to know the outcome, I'm in the same situation now, planning our second pregnancy, the scenario is identical, but the only difference is when I noticed streaks of blood, I immediately took a test and spotted a second line, very faint, even my husband couldn't see it, but it was there. The next day, brown spotting started and hasn't stopped since. I bought a bunch of tests and have been taking one every day but... all negative, so now I'm wondering.

And I had it like this last month, my period was from the 10th to the 12th. The first day was normal, as usual; on the second day, it was just spotting, and by the evening of the 12th, it had completely stopped. I went to the doctor, had all the tests done—no pregnancy—the only thing was that the ultrasound showed my right ovary is inflamed with a cyst on it, and there's some issue in the tube between the uterus and ovaries. Today, on 14.02.2013, it started spotting in the morning, although usually, it pours like a bucket for the first two days and lasts for 4 days, maximum 5. Please advise.

Hello, could you please advise? In February, I had a three-day delay, then my normal period came. But the tests showed a faint second line. And even when my period started, the line was still there, but after about two weeks, it disappeared. Now it's March, and I'm two days late again, with no signs of my period starting except for swollen breasts. And it seems the test is showing a faint second line again. My temperature is elevated, around 37 to 37.2 degrees. I don't know what to think. Am I pregnant since February or is it from this month? I really want a baby, but I don't have time to go to the hospital.

Girls! Please help! I don't understand what's happening to me... I've been treated for a cyst before, and the doctor also mentioned it could be polycystic ovary syndrome; I took Utrogestan, and my periods were irregular... But for the last six months, everything has been on schedule! We've been trying to conceive with my partner for almost a year now, having unprotected sex, and now there's an 8-day delay, the test is negative, then there was a faint pink spotting, the next day I thought my period had started... but it's been going on for two days... Barely noticeable!! Red. But in terms of volume, it wouldn't even fill a pad in a day... and it's already tapering off. Should I book an ultrasound?

Good day! I've read... I don't even know...
This spotting started for me in the evening... brownish.
In the morning, there was nothing... then the same thing happened a day later! And now, again, there's nothing! My period is due on the 28th of June...
All sexual encounters were protected! What is this?!

Girls, help me out. About six months ago, I had cervical erosion cauterized. I'm 21 and haven't given birth. Generally, nothing was bothering me; my periods always came two days early as expected. But this time, there was intercourse, and my boyfriend doesn't remember if he managed to pull out in time. My period was a day late but came very light, almost nothing. And when I pee, sometimes dark bloody discharge comes out, but otherwise, it's not flowing. My stomach hurts terribly, pulling and stabbing. What could this be? I'm extremely worried—could it be pregnancy or because of the erosion? I've never had this before; my periods have always been very regular and normal.
