My friend went to the doctor thinking she had a cycle irregularity, a dysfunction. But it turned out to be a miscarriage. And it was at 9 weeks. Now I'm really scared: I also have functional irregularities sometimes. And I've gotten used to my period sometimes being delayed. But can a woman really not tell the difference between a period and a miscarriage? Especially at that stage, could it really just be some bleeding and that's it, with no other sensations?
My friend took a test in the first days of her missed period—it confirmed pregnancy, but then her period came a couple of days later. The doctor explained that she was having miscarriages. So, it's possible not to even tell the difference.

At a very early stage - indeed, you wouldn't be able to tell. (Although 9 weeks is actually quite a bit; by that time, changes in how you feel usually start to appear). Otherwise, I've read that with the advent of pregnancy tests, it became clear that almost two-thirds of pregnancies are lost in the very first days - before, a delay of a few days went unnoticed, and no one had time to see a doctor. :)

They say it's a case of "the pregnancy didn't stick." But that's when it's just a couple of days or a week into the pregnancy. I think my child could have been 10 years old by now... At least that's what the doctor told me, and I was shocked—that I had only been pregnant for a week...
I had a one-day delay last month, I wonder, could that have been pregnancy?)))

I went to see an astrologer. I gave her my exact time of birth, place, year, and date. She calculates on her computer and says, "You should already have a grown child. Where is he?" I say no, I've never had any children! She says, "It happens, a woman might not even realize how it occurred. Her period came a week or two late, and that was it. So, you had a conception in February..." I remembered having unprotected sex... I really didn't like those periods, to be honest; my breasts hurt, and I had a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen and lower back. It was just spotting and sluggish. Then everything was fine.

At 9 weeks, a miscarriage is a painful process. I was at 7 weeks when my miscarriage happened. I later gave birth twice. During the miscarriage, the pain was crampy and cyclical. The fetus came out, small, a bit larger than a pea, and with it, the gestational sac about the size of a quail's egg. Afterward, there was spotting like after childbirth because the miscarriage was incomplete; the layers of the placenta and such didn't come out on their own. They performed a dilation and curettage.
I remembered unprotected sex... I really didn't like those periods, to be honest. My breasts hurt, and I had pulling pains in my lower abdomen and lower back. It was just "spotting" and sluggish.
Then everything was fine.
"My breasts hurt, and I had pulling pains in my lower abdomen and lower back."
Have you ever heard of painful periods? Yes, girls go through SUCH HELL every month, and it's not pregnancy or miscarriages, but "just periods."

My aunt, who is a gynecologist, says that a quarter of all pregnancies end in spontaneous miscarriages in the early stages (up to 4 weeks, I think). Women don't even realize they were pregnant and had a miscarriage. Most of them later say their period was two or three weeks late due to heat/cold/stress.

Last month, I had a week's delay, felt nauseous, dizzy, and then, after sex, it "broke through," and that was it.

A month ago, at 15 years old, I lost my baby :( I didn't go to the doctors. Understanding that you're having a miscarriage is very easy. A miscarriage is accompanied by unbearable pain in the abdomen and lower abdomen, heavy bleeding, pieces of tissue, and at the end of losing the baby, the placenta. Girls, women, don't have abortions, don't destroy your own flesh and blood, take care of your health during pregnancy. Have many children, happiness, love, and health to you all :)

Elena, I disagree with you. It doesn't always happen as you described. I've had 2 miscarriages, and both were different.

My period started two days early. I had mild nausea before that, but that often happens to me before my period. Two days ago, around midnight, my period started, and I went to bed late. I thought it was good that I wasn't asleep yet, so I put on a pad and went to bed. But in the middle of the night, I woke up from a pulling pain in my lower abdomen. I was too lazy to get up for painkillers, but the pain kept getting worse. I got up, took an Analgin, and went back to bed. Suddenly, I felt the need to go to the bathroom—sorry, for a bowel movement. When I came out of the bathroom, I felt terrible—a sudden loss of strength, my legs could barely move, I broke out in a cold sweat, and my face and whole body were drenched. I woke up my husband to make me strong, sweet tea. I lay down, but the pain in my back and abdomen was unbearable. Suddenly, I felt nauseous, ran to the toilet, and threw up. A few minutes later, I threw up again. I was shaking and felt so cold. The pain was gripping me. I endured it for about 30-40 minutes, on the verge of passing out. The next day, my period was heavy and painful, and I was on painkillers all day. On the third day, it was like I didn't have my period at all—very light and pinkish with whitish specks. I made an appointment with my doctor. I think it might have been a miscarriage, and I want to ask him about it. I felt this awful a year ago, with the exact same scenario. And now it's happened again. WHAT DO YOU THINK, could that be it?
Three days ago, I went to the gynecologist because I had a missed period and a positive test. They did an ultrasound, and it turned out I was already three weeks pregnant. But just a couple of days later, I started having severe lower abdominal pain and bleeding, which ended in a miscarriage. A few days before that, I had symptoms of a miscarriage, but I didn't know because it was my first pregnancy: my lower back hurt badly, and my lower abdomen was in pain. So, girls, if you have similar symptoms, it's better to go to the gynecologist and get a consultation.

I have already had three medical abortions; I only had ultrasounds for the first two, but by the third time, I knew I was pregnant, and everything was fine after the third. I waited for my next period, but it never came—I'm now 13 days late. I didn't take a test; I just knew I was pregnant, so I ordered the pills. Then I started spotting, followed by heavy bleeding (as it should happen during a period). Could this be a miscarriage? Or is it a pregnancy with menstruation? Or is it a change in my cycle after the third abortion? Can I take a test now? I think the embryo hasn't passed yet, and this might just be a regular period...

I experienced this at 8 weeks, like a second mini-childbirth. This was my second pregnancy. Besides, at 9 weeks, it's hard not to notice if the gestational sac passes.

Go to the doctor, and they will tell you everything and answer all your questions based on test results and ultrasound.
In January, I had a period that really shocked me. I get painful periods every other time, so I don't remember my exact feelings, but I recall going to shower and a large piece of mucous membrane came out of me. Pieces do come out sometimes, but this one was particularly big. I picked it up to look at it and almost felt sick.
Then my period ended as usual, and I forgot all about it, but recently I remembered and can't stop wondering if it could have been a very early miscarriage.

PLEASE TELL ME! WHAT COULD THIS BE?
I won't be able to sleep peacefully until I find out what it was!
My period ended a week ago, although it came almost 2 weeks late. For the last 3-4 months, I've been having delays, I constantly take tests—they're negative, but I haven't gone to the hospital yet! I understand... it could be a hormonal imbalance, etc... but today, when I went to the bathroom... a small, firm pink lump came out of me, about 2-3 cm in size! I got really scared, and now I'm very afraid and worried! WHAT COULD THIS BE? DOES IT LOOK LIKE A MISCARRIAGE?

You've probably already found out what it could have been. Do share. It might be a miscarriage. During a miscarriage, there can be such a round egg, but it's usually a whitish-gray color.

Yesterday, I also had the monsters arrive. I never really understood why. After the missed period and the subsequent cleanse, my cycle never really got back on track, but this time, they didn't come on day 27, not even on day 31, and there were no signs, except for my mood swinging sharply. And then I woke up and realized it was my period. My breasts were so swollen and sore, and I was extremely hungry, yet I never felt full at all. I spent the whole day lying down yesterday. I felt kind of off, and for good reason. I went to the pharmacy to get a test and had a bad feeling. Came home. Period. It started with spotting, then paused, and came back with full force. I was in pain all night.

I'll share my story too. I'm married with two children, and after the youngest was born, I immediately decided not to have any more kids—we couldn't handle a third. So, one day, I went to a dermatologist who prescribed Diane 35 for a hormonal imbalance. Naturally, I went to the women's clinic, got tests done, and consulted with a gynecologist. I was supposed to come back for the results, but first, I needed to take a test to rule out pregnancy. I did everything and went in, but she wasn't there—she was on vacation. I didn't feel like explaining everything to the substitute doctor, so I decided to wait for her. But since I'm always changing my mind, as soon as my period started, I immediately began taking the pills, following the instructions exactly. I still don't understand when I managed to get pregnant. After finishing the first pack, my period was just spotting and lasted only four days, which is unusual for me, so I thought it was due to the pills. Then, as required, I took another pack and waited for my period. That's when I started having stomach pain, like contractions—not too severe but quite noticeable—and my lower back was aching, even though my periods are usually painless. I went to the bathroom, and something came out of me, a chunk of some sort, and I felt immediate relief. Nothing else hurt, as if nothing had happened. Later in the shower, another similar chunk fell out. After that, my period came and lasted longer than usual. This happened in December. Since then, my periods have been regular but with clots. Now, thankfully, everything has returned to normal. I have to admit, I'm very careless about my health and never went to the doctor. I can always find a thousand reasons not to go to the hospital—back then, it was the freezing December weather, no one to leave the kids with, no available appointments, and so many other excuses. That's how it went.

Don't get an ultrasound in the first weeks. Only at 12 weeks. And even then, many have miscarriages after an ultrasound at 12 weeks...

Okay, with miscarriages in general, everything is clear; everyone's experience is different, and there are some certain similar symptoms.
What interests me is the question: what if after a miscarriage, something remains "there" that shouldn't be? Can that happen or not?
Girls... I caught a chill in my adnexa, went to the gynecologist, and there was no sign of pregnancy. Well, she prescribed me calcium gluconate, the so-called "hot shot." After the second injection, I started spotting blood, and my stomach pulled a bit; I thought my period had come, just four days early. But after the third injection, I barely made it home—there was so much blood, my jeans were soaked up to the knees. Nothing hurt. Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor to find out what that was all about...

I've already had 4 miscarriages, got examined, and nothing was found—my husband and I are completely healthy. After the first one, I was hospitalized at 6 weeks pregnant with toxemia. The head of the department did an ultrasound and said the fetus wasn't developing—he sent me for a D&C, but I refused. For a week, they tormented and convinced me it was necessary; I was constantly hysterical and depressed. Then, at a follow-up ultrasound, it turned out everything was fine! They got scared and discharged me the same day, but my suffering and emotional stress later caused a miscarriage at 10 weeks. After that, I ended up in the hospital where a girl was having induced labor at 23 weeks—her baby had a heart defect, and they said it wouldn't be born alive. For two days, I helped her cope with contractions and pain. At night, she went into labor, but there were no doctors or nurses around; while we were calling for help, I delivered the baby (it was born alive). After all this, I can't calm down; I have terrible nightmares at night, even though it's been 2 years. What should I do?!

I'm having some kind of issue. My period came late, starting on June 19th and ending on the 29th, although my normal cycle is 5 days. Then, for a few more days, there were pinkish discharges. Now, my period came on July 17th, but it's very painful. The lower abdomen was unbearably sore for the first three days, and my lower back a bit too. What could this be? Some kind of disruption? What worries me more is the 10-day period.

Six months ago, I had a medical abortion. Now I suspect I'm pregnant again—I took a test, and it showed two lines; a week later, I took another test, and again two lines. I haven't been to the doctor. The pregnancy was about 4 weeks along, with a 10-day delay. My boyfriend and I had sex at night, and in the morning, I had a heavy flow. My period has never started so abruptly like that. Now we're puzzled about what it was. Could it be a miscarriage due to the medical abortion I had six months before this pregnancy?

Girls, girls! All our problems come from the fact that we endure and are afraid to disturb someone! The female body is like a piece of glass that can't be glued back together; I'm sitting here at night, unable to sleep, wondering why on earth I've been bleeding for several months. Before this, I was seriously ill. Everywhere online, it says that constant bleeding is a symptom of cancer. Ann, you absolutely must see a doctor because if it was a miscarriage, you definitely need to get cleaned out.

So, girls! I'm going through this myself right now—I'm 11 weeks pregnant (or was, I don't know). I woke up at 6 in the morning with intense pain in my lower abdomen, like contractions, and my lower back hurt. The only relief I got was in the "crab" position with a pillow against my stomach. My common-law husband gave me two Ketarol tablets—usually one pill helps me, but this time, even after taking two, nothing changed; the pain was just as bad! We called an ambulance, and they gave me two injections—Analgin and Papaverine. A day later, a similar situation happened, but for some reason, the doctors don't think it could be a miscarriage! Girls, the pain is terrifying, hellish—you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. There are blood clots, spotting, and some strange gray shreds. It's been five days, and the blood is flowing like a stream.
