BURNING sensation in …

BURNING sensation in the mouth. My tongue is on fire!

Hello everyone. Fellow "unfortunate" friends, please respond. This burning in my mouth is driving me crazy( It bothered me for two months. Then it went away for about two weeks. I felt like a human again. And now it's back. All my tests are normal. No candida, no bacteria, nothing like that. I don't even know what to think anymore( maybe it's an allergy? That's the last thing that comes to mind🤷🏼♀️ I've read through so many forums. I'm not the only one suffering from this( and people don't know the solution or the cause of this condition( If anyone has dealt with this and found a way to solve it, please, help me with some advice. Externally, my mouth looks completely normal. But my tongue( and sometimes my palate) feels like it's been sandpapered.. it burns/ stings..

Do you happen to have anemia?

Does it go away during meals?

Try taking Allochol for a course. It helped me, and the cause was related to my gallbladder.

Actually, right when I'm eating - it gets better. It subsides. And then again.. 😕 I've tried gargling with chamomile, and sucked on sage-eucalyptus lozenges.. It's hard to talk ( feels like my mouth gets dry when speaking.

Your gallbladder is acting up. Go see a therapist or a gastroenterologist and get treatment.

Could be bile reflux. It might not just be the tongue tingling. That's bile.

Thank you so much. I'll definitely go. Last year in September they scared me: they said, suspected pancreatitis. I was on a diet for 4 months. I took Omez and something else. Then I had a gastroscopy. Everything was normal. Then I also had an ultrasound. Everything was normal then too. Maybe something has changed since then(( I'll get checked.

And they gave me a choice between Ursosan or Allochol, I bought the first one (like the more expensive one, so it would work faster). Nothing like that! It didn't help at all. But Allochol is great. Just take the course, but don't stay on it constantly, take a break, otherwise the gallbladder will "refuse" to work altogether. Now I haven't had any burning for two months, it's a completely different life. Good luck!

Good afternoon, I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my tongue for a year now, as if I drank boiling water. I also have pain behind the breastbone, occasionally a temperature of 37.0°C, and weakness. I've taken numerous tests, which showed slightly elevated GGT, small gallstones up to 0.7mm, normal thyroid function, and had an endoscopy that diagnosed reflux esophagitis. I completed a treatment course prescribed by a gastroenterologist with no results, then consulted a neurologist who also prescribed treatment, all without success. I'm at a loss and don't know where to turn next. Perhaps someone can advise what to do with this unclear illness!!!!

It's nerves! If everything with GI tract is normal, then definitely nerves. I've had the same nonsense myself for two weeks...

Try propolis (from the pharmacy) with goat's milk: 150g of milk and 10 drops of propolis, in the morning before eating and in the evening before bed. I've suffered from this burning sensation in my mouth for many years because I have GERD and esophagitis, and my stomach hurts too. For a week now, I've had relief. I'm afraid to jinx it. Look up this topic on the website and read about it yourself.

I cured my stomach, but my tongue hasn't healed, and the left side of my palate is constantly inflamed, as well as the tonsils on the left. It can't be that only the left side of my mouth hurts. My tongue feels as if it's raw, with teeth marks and a burning sensation.

I have the same thing, only on the right side. I got a culture swab from my tonsils - waiting for the results. How are you treating yours?

I had a culture test done, and everything is normal. I was tested for all types of herpes (Epstein-Barr, etc.), and I was tested for HIV—all normal. They also told me to do a deep scraping from the throat and tongue, not a swab with a cotton bud, but specifically a deep scraping with a wooden spatula. I haven't done that yet.

Laser therapy helps me more or less; an orthopedic doctor performs it for me—three times for three minutes each. The papillae on my tongue have become smaller and a bit more comfortable. But all the rinses, compresses, etc., don't help. They also said I need to take Iodomarin, but I'm afraid because my thyroid is fine and my hormones are normal too. Oh, and Stomatofit provides relief; I can't go to sleep without it—I apply it to the inflamed gum, palate, and tongue.

I have the same problem, it's not there while I'm eating and for 15-20 minutes after, then it comes back again. What is this?

I've been suffering for 3 years. I've seen all the doctors, they can't find anything, I don't know what to do anymore. I'm going crazy. I sleep poorly at night. I wake up because everything stings.

Three years, damn, are we really the only ones going to doctors, that they don't know about this plague? Do people with this crap really not come to them?

By the way, my temperature also periodically rises to 37 or 37.2 degrees, and I can really feel it—I get hot flashes and start feeling unwell. I apply Lugol's solution to my throat every day and use Kamistad gel on my tongue and palate where it burns; it's a gel for stomatitis. But every morning, it starts all over again. I've heard this can happen with cervical osteochondrosis too. I also read up on lichen planus, an autoimmune issue triggered by stress, which is supposedly lifelong—it subsides and then flares up again. Doctors recommend boosting immunity, getting enough sleep, exercising, and avoiding stress.

Hello. Based on all the symptoms, it's glossitis. You might have gum issues or problems with your teeth. I'm currently suffering from this affliction too. You can rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine, dissolve Lizobact tablets, and also use a ready-made gum balm for rinsing. Patience to us! Stay healthy! ))

Leptothrix test. Specifically, microscopy for Leptothrix from the mouth. Not a culture. Specifically microscopy. It's hard to treat. It's not very sensitive to many things. It's a pathogen.

I don't know what to do myself yet. I called companies that handle treatment abroad, and they promise to help, like, you need to go to Germany, like, they won't help you in Russia. Honestly, I've been to the best doctors. Besides prescribing strong steroids, I achieved nothing. Guys, this is not neurological, and there's no need to go to neurologists and psychiatrists, which everyone usually sends you to. I think the flora was disrupted, or I took antibiotics, and this Leptothrix took over everything. It doesn't allow the flora to recover. It can destroy teeth over time. Cause sepsis. Read about it.

Thanks for sharing your story. I read that one of the symptoms is a white coating on the root of the tongue and tonsils. Do you have that? My tongue is actually clean.

I don't have tonsils. There's a white coating on my tongue. There's more of it at the root of my tongue.

I'm being treated by a neurologist.

What do the doctors say? How haven't you gone crazy? What helps? Have you been to a neurologist? I've only had it for 2 months

Lord, which doctors have you been seeing? This is a common case of glossodynia. If you've consulted all the doctors, taken all the vitamins, and there are no issues in your oral cavity, then we go to a psychiatrist or neurologist, as this condition falls under their purview. No, you're not mentally ill; it's a condition that is specifically treated by psychiatrists with antidepressants. The differential diagnosis has been conducted, as far as I understand. Moreover, all your symptoms disappear while eating.

Only your comment gives me hope. Did you get cured? Did the treatment take long?
