Very scanty periods

Very scanty periods

Before, periods were proper periods lasting at least 5 days and quite heavy. Then somehow they shortened to 3 days and weren't as heavy. And this month I was completely shocked - just spotted for a couple of days and that's it. And I'm only 29. Is it menopause already? I'm not sexually active (divorced from my husband). Could this be affecting it?

Lucky you, I've had heavy ones all my life, and I'm fed up with them. And I'm almost 40 already.

Well, damn, this isn't normal for me. It wasn't like this before... So I don't think it's "lucky."

Nadia, it's just a hormonal imbalance.

I have exactly the same situation, word for word, only I'm 39 years old—it's all due to ovarian dysfunction, which naturally leads to a hormonal imbalance. To determine which hormones are lacking, a blood test is necessary; only then can the treatment be determined.

Svetlana, have you been to the doctor yet?

A shortage of oestrogen, and understanding why it decreases at such an age is essential, as it may be linked to various neoplasms.

Author, go to a gynaecologist and an endocrinologist. First, you need to rule out pregnancy, then have your blood tested for thyroid hormones; I had scanty periods with hyperthyroidism.

There's definitely no pregnancy and can't be. I had my thyroid checked in March, and everything was okay then too.

And I've had a delay of over two months now, got my hormones tested, and it seems like my estrogen levels are low too. I'm going back for another test tomorrow; if there's no change and my endometrium is still just as thin, I'll probably have to go on hormone stimulation, what a nightmare. But if I do nothing, menopause might start, and I'm 35 with no children. Girls, has anyone been in this situation? What did you do? Maybe there are some herbal remedies?

Girls, it's me again, the author of this thread. After I had some spotting for a couple of days, there was a day's break (i.e., yesterday). And today, my period started as usual. But isn't it also bad that there was spotting for two days?

What could be the reason for having a period that lasts for two weeks? It started with spotting and then became normal. Could taking Postinor have influenced this? I took it about six months ago.

And I started taking Janine at the beginning of November. I had spotting the whole month, then almost all of December, there was nothing. I didn't even understand whether I had my period or not with all that spotting. Today, I was happy, thinking my period had come. Before, they used to start heavily from the first day, but this time, it was just a bit of spotting and that's it. I'll wait until tomorrow. Does anyone know if this can happen while taking hormonal contraceptives?

I've also been having light periods for the second month now, with a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen, whereas before they were always very heavy. I'm 20 years old. I don't know what to think, as I haven't been sexually active for a couple of months.

I'm in exactly the same situation; I also started taking Janine at the beginning of November, prescribed for endometriosis. I haven't managed to see the doctor yet, as I barely have any periods—I'll have to go now!

I've always had normal, heavy periods. In November, I didn't have a period, just a couple of days of spotting and that was it. In December, I had a very heavy period, and now again, it's the second day of just spotting and nothing more!! What should I do? Is this dangerous? Is this not menopause?? I'm 26 years old.

I have been taking Jess for 1.5 years now.

I cannot report any negative side effects.

My cycle is regular, my health is fine (I get checked every 6-8 months), I haven't gained any weight during this time, and although I've always had pimples on my forehead, my facial skin has cleared up here. So, do consult your doctor about this.

My periods are strange; for three and a half days, there was brown spotting, and on the fourth day, towards the evening, it became normal in colour (like regular blood). Today, there's still some spotting, and they arrived two days early (my periods are irregular). What could be causing this?

Seeking advice. I'm 24. I've been taking Yasmin for 2 years. My periods were normal. Last month, I decided to extend taking the pills by 6 days. And this month, I'm taking the pills according to the new cycle, but my period is extremely light. Sorry for the frankness, it's like just a drop. My lower abdomen feels tense, and I'm urinating frequently. I have a regular sex life with my husband. So I can't figure out if I should panic or if this is a normal reaction of the body to the disruption in the pill schedule?

Hello everyone! Please help me! I'm 20 years old and have had miscarriages before. For the past two months, I've been experiencing spotting and brown discharge for two days, but this time it started four days early, just a little spotting and then it stopped. I have HPV and cervical erosion. I'm showing signs of pregnancy, but I'm in a lot of pain, eating a lot, having mood swings, feeling nauseous at times, finding it hard to breathe, and experiencing severe pain in my lower abdomen and ovaries.

I also had brown discharge; it turned out to be a polyp in the uterus. I had it removed 4 years ago, touch wood, nothing like that since. Now I'm 27, and after the polyp removal, I was pregnant, but unfortunately, the baby's heartbeat stopped at 12 weeks. And in these four years since, there's been no pregnancy, scanty periods, even though my hormone tests are normal. The only issue is with ovulation. I don't know what to do(((( We really want a little one, my husband and I.

Two months after giving birth, I had a very heavy period, and it's been like that every time since. The last time, however, it was very light—just spotting for 3-4 days and then it stopped. What could this be related to?

I'm in the same boat. I'm 30 years old. Only this month, after my period, my stomach started aching a bit and rumbling. (( I had a prolactin test and it turned out to be above normal. I'll be getting the rest of the tests done as well. ((

I also have scanty periods; before this, I visited an endocrinologist (had my thyroid checked and all tests came back fine). The doctor prescribed "Cat's Claw" for the immune system, Iodomarin, and Selenium Active. COULD IT BE THAT THIS IS WHY MY PERIODS BECAME SCANTY? I'm 23, have a boyfriend, and I'm taking a test tomorrow. If it's negative, can I start taking birth control pills? (I took a break for six months and was planning to start again after these periods, but now this...) From the comments, it seems I need to see a doctor anyway...

I also suspected I had hyperthyroidism, as I've had a low temperature and scanty periods for three months now. But I went to an endocrinologist and got tested for two hormones. One, the thyroid, turned out to be normal, while the other, prolactin, was slightly elevated. And the endocrinologist said I don't have hyperthyroidism or thyroiditis and referred me to a gynaecologist. The gynaecologist then sent me for three more hormone tests. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for the results. Tell me, how does hyperthyroidism manifest in you? And how are your periods with it? There's also hypothyroidism, isn't there?

Hello, girls! I had a gynaecological operation (conisation - on the cervix). After a month, everything healed, and the gynaecologist said the cervix looked good... then came the first and second periods after the operation - they were normal, but in May, they started being scanty... about three days... and yesterday they came... just one day and that's it.... ((( No more... I can't think about anything else, only about them... and they're getting less and less.... ((( We want a baby... I've booked an appointment with the gynaecologist for Thursday... I'm 28 years old... my cycle has always been regular... and now, as if on purpose... everything's going wrong ((((

Hello everyone, I've been taking Femodene for 3 months and haven't had a period for 3 months. During the break, it's not like spotting—it's quite a bit, but it's hard to call it a period. Has anyone else experienced this???

Hello everyone) A month ago, my period came on the 15th day of my cycle... it lasted the usual 3 days... I thought it might just be a disruption... Now I'm 2 days late... Hello everyone. I'm 16. My period was due on the 5th of August. But on the 30th, there were some greyish-yellow discharges, which then turned brown. And from the 30th until today, I've been having some spotting, similar to a period. It's like this: sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. My lower abdomen is aching a bit. Can you tell me what this is? Could I be pregnant?

I also have very scanty periods, if you can even call them that. Two days of light spotting with something unclear, and that's it. I'm terribly anxious and afraid of infertility. I'm planning to see a doctor. I'm at a loss for what to do. Help!

Hello. I stopped taking Lindinet 20 six months ago. Since then, my periods have been getting lighter and lighter. This time, they barely came, you could say it was just spotting, but they arrived on schedule as they should.

Has anyone figured out the cause of the spotting?

I'm experiencing the same thing. I regularly visited the gynaecologist, everything was fine. And then suddenly my periods became scanty, just like they were cut off. And with each time, it's getting worse and worse. I've been to doctors, no use at all, just vitamins, diet and nothing more. I'm 32. This nonsense has been going on for a year now. What should I do??? Menopause???

It definitely could, as Postinor is nothing other than a high dose of hormones that disrupt your hormonal balance. This balance, in turn, needs to recover, and that requires time. But you absolutely must see a doctor!

I have never had heavy periods before. For the last two years, they've become suspiciously light—just three days and that's it. But 22 days ago, happiness happened to me! My period started heavily and five days early, and for 22 days now, I've been flooding like this!!!! I am so happy!!!! I've never experienced such joy. I won't go to the gynaecologist; I'll enjoy these heavy periods. I'm 24.

I ended up having to go to the doctor after all, as I started experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. It turned out to be a corpus luteum cyst in my left ovary and endometrial hyperplasia. They performed a curettage at the hospital and removed the cyst. I'm still on hormone medication.

Of course, you should see a doctor and not delay. I can recommend the Diagnostic Centre. It's not expensive, they tell you the cause straight away and prescribe treatment. I'm satisfied. Call back on 79175625899 for a consultation.

Girls, I'm in this situation – last month, I had a five-day delay, took a test, and it showed two lines. The next day, I started spotting, so I rushed to the hospital (as I was afraid of losing the baby). They did an ultrasound and said it was an early pregnancy... I was admitted for monitoring, stayed for a week (they gave me Papaverine injections), had another ultrasound, and then they told me I wasn't pregnant and hadn't been, even though I'd taken several tests and all were positive... And this month, my "period" came 10 days early and is very light, similar to last time... While I was in the hospital, they checked me thoroughly, and I'm healthy...

There's a wonderful, feminine herb called Red Brush or Boron Uterus. For hormonal imbalances, they prescribed me hormone tablets, but I refused to take them and turned to a herbalist grandmother instead. She recommended I take this herb for life. I take breaks for three months, then start again, and so far, thank God, all is well.
