Very light periods

Very light periods

Before, my periods were real periods - at least 5 days and quite heavy. Then somehow they shortened to 3 days and weren't as heavy. And this month I was totally shocked. Just a little spotting for a couple of days and that's it. And I'm only 29. Is it menopause already? I'm not sexually active (divorced from my husband). Could this be affecting it?

Lucky you, I've had heavy ones my whole life, I'm so over it. And I'm almost 40.

Damn it, this isn't normal for me. It wasn't like this before... So I don't think I'm "lucky."

Nadia, it's just a hormonal imbalance.

I have the exact same thing, word for word, only I'm 39 years old. It's all due to ovarian dysfunction, which naturally leads to hormonal imbalance—a deficiency of certain hormones. You need to get a blood test done, and only then can they determine the treatment.

Svetlana, have you been to the doctor yet?

A shortage of estrogen, and understanding why it decreases at such an age is essential, as it may be linked to various neoplasms.

Author, go see a gynecologist and an endocrinologist. First, you need to rule out pregnancy, then get your thyroid hormones tested; I had scanty periods due to hyperthyroidism.

There's definitely no pregnancy and there can't be. I checked my thyroid in March, everything was okay then too.

And I've already had a delay of more than 2 months, got my hormones tested, and it seems like my estrogens are low too. I'm going to get tested again tomorrow. If there are no changes and the endometrium is still this thin, I'll probably have to stimulate with hormones, oh no. But if I do nothing, menopause might start. I'm 35, no children. Girls, has anyone been in this situation? What did you do? Maybe there are some herbs?

Girls, it's me again, the author of this thread. After I had some spotting for a couple of days, there was a day's break (meaning yesterday). And today, my period started as usual. But isn't it bad that there was spotting for two days?

What could be the reason for having a period that lasts for two weeks? It started with spotting and then became a normal flow. Could taking Postinor have affected this? I took it about six months ago.

And I started taking Janine in early November. I had spotting all month, then almost all of December there was nothing. I didn't even understand if I had my period or not with all that spotting. Today I was happy, thinking my period had come. Before, it used to start heavily from the first day, but this time it was just a little spotting and that's it. I'll wait until tomorrow. Does anyone know if this can happen when taking hormonal contraceptives?

I've also been having light periods for the second month now, and I'm experiencing a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen. Before this, they were always very heavy. I'm 20 years old. I don't know what to think, and I haven't been sexually active for a couple of months.

I'm in the exact same situation—I also started taking Janine at the beginning of November, prescribed for endometriosis. I haven't been able to see my doctor, and I barely have any period, so I'll have to go!

I've always had normal heavy periods. In November, I didn't have a period, just a couple of days of spotting and that was it. In December, I had very heavy periods, and now again, it's the second day of just spotting and nothing more!! What should I do? Is this dangerous? Is this not menopause?? I'm 26 years old.

I have been taking Jess for 1.5 years now.

I cannot report any negative side effects.

My cycle is regular, my health is fine (I get checked every 6-8 months), I haven't gained any weight during this time, and although I've always had pimples on my forehead, my facial skin has cleared up. So, consult with your doctor about this.

My period is unusual; it was brown spotting for three and a half days, and on the fourth day, closer to the evening, it became normal in color (like regular blood). Today, there's still some spotting, and it started two days early (my periods are irregular). What could be causing this?

I need advice. I'm 24 years old. I've been taking Yasmin for 2 years. My periods were normal. Last month, I decided to extend taking the pills by 6 days. And this month, I'm taking the pills according to the new cycle, but my period is extremely light. Sorry for being blunt, it's like just one drop. My lower abdomen feels tense, and I'm urinating frequently. I have a regular sex life with my husband. So I can't figure out if I should panic or if this is a normal reaction of the body to the disruption in the pill schedule?

Hello everyone! Please help me! I'm 20 years old and have had miscarriages. For the past 2 months, I've been experiencing spotting and brown discharge for 2 days, and now my period came 4 days early, just spotted, and then stopped. I have HPV and cervical erosion. I have signs of pregnancy, but everything hurts so much, I'm eating a lot, having mood swings, feeling nauseous sometimes, finding it hard to breathe, and experiencing severe pain in my lower abdomen and ovaries.

I also had brown discharge; it turned out to be a polyp in the uterus. I had it removed 4 years ago, and knock on wood, it hasn't happened since. Now I'm 27, and after the polyp removal, I was pregnant, but unfortunately, the baby's heartbeat stopped at 12 weeks. And in these four years since, I haven't been pregnant, have light periods, even though my hormone tests are normal. The only issue is with ovulation. I don't know what to do(((( My husband and I really want a little one.

Two months after giving birth, I got my period, and it was very heavy every time. The last time, it was very light, just spotting for 3-4 days, and that was it. What could this be related to?

I'm in the same boat. I'm 30 years old. Only this month, after my period, my stomach started aching a bit and rumbling.(( I got my prolactin tested and it turned out to be above normal. I'll be getting the rest of the tests done too. ((

I also have light periods. Before this, I went to an endocrinologist (got my thyroid checked, all tests were fine), the doctor prescribed "Cat's Claw" for the immune system, Iodomarin, and Selenium Active. COULD THIS BE WHY MY PERIODS BECAME LIGHT? I'm 23, have a boyfriend, and I'm taking a test tomorrow. If it's negative, can I start taking birth control? (I took a six-month break, wanted to start after this period, and now this...) Based on the comments, I guess I need to see a doctor...

I also suspected I had hyperthyroidism because of my low body temperature and scanty periods that have been going on for three months now. But I went to an endocrinologist and got tested for two hormones. One, the thyroid, turned out to be normal, while the other, prolactin, was slightly elevated. The endocrinologist said I don't have hyperthyroidism or thyroiditis and referred me to a gynecologist. The gynecologist then sent me for three more hormone tests. Now I'm just waiting for the results. Can you tell me how hyperthyroidism manifests in you? And how do periods go with it? Also, is there such a thing as hypothyroidism?

Hi, girls! I had a gynecological surgery (conization - on the cervix). After a month, everything healed, and the gynecologist said the cervix looked good... then my first and second periods after the surgery came - normal, but in May, they started being light... for about three days... and yesterday they came... just one day and that's it.... ((( No more... I can't think about anything else, only about them... and they're getting less and less.... ((( We want a baby... I have an appointment with the gynecologist on Thursday... I'm 28 years old... my cycle has always been regular... and now, as if on purpose... everything is going wrong ((((

Hey everyone, I've been taking Femodene for 3 months and haven't had a period for 3 months. During the break, it's not like spotting—it's a lot, but it's hard to call it a period. Has anyone else experienced this???

Hi everyone) A month ago, my period came on the 15th day of my cycle... it lasted the usual 3 days... I thought maybe it was just a disruption... now I'm 2 days late... I have a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen like during my period... and there are scant white discharge. What could this be??? I haven't had any sexual contact in the past month...

Hi everyone. I'm 16. My period was supposed to start on August 5th. But on the 30th, there were some grayish-yellow discharge. Then it turned brown. And from the 30th until today, I've been having some spotting, similar to a period. It's like this: sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. My lower abdomen is aching a bit. Can you tell me what this is? Could I be pregnant?

I also have very scanty periods, if you can even call them that. Two days of light spotting with something unclear, and that's it. I'm terribly worried and afraid of infertility. I'm planning to see a doctor. I'm at a loss about what to do. Help!

Hi. I stopped taking Lindinet 20 six months ago. Since then, my periods have been getting lighter and lighter. This time, they barely happened—you could say it was just spotting, but it was on time as expected.

Has anyone figured out the cause of spotting?

I'm experiencing the same thing. I regularly visited the gynecologist, everything was fine. And then suddenly my periods became scanty, just like they were cut off. And it's getting worse each time. I've been to doctors, no use, just vitamins, diet, and nothing more. I'm 32. This nonsense has been going on for a year. What should I do??? Menopause???

It definitely could, as Postinor is nothing other than a high dose of hormones that disrupt your hormonal balance. It, in turn, needs to recover, and that takes time. But you absolutely must see a doctor!

I have never had heavy periods before. For the last 2 years, they've become suspiciously light—just 3 days and that's it. But 22 days ago, happiness happened to me! My period started heavily and 5 days early, and for 22 days now, I've been flooding like this!!!! I am so happy!!!! I've never experienced such joy. I won't go to the gynecologist; I'll enjoy these heavy periods. I'm 24.

I ended up having to go to the doctor after all, because I started having pain in my lower abdomen. It turned out to be a corpus luteum cyst in my left ovary and endometrial hyperplasia. They performed a D&C at the hospital and removed the cyst. I'm still on hormone therapy.

Of course, you should see a doctor and not delay. I can recommend the Diagnostic Center. It's not expensive, they tell you the cause right away and prescribe treatment. I'm satisfied. Call back at 79175625899 for a consultation.

Girls, here's the situation - last month, I had a 5-day delay, took a test, it showed two lines. The next day, I started spotting, rushed to the hospital (because I was afraid of losing the baby). They did an ultrasound and said it was an early pregnancy... They admitted me for monitoring, I stayed for a week (they gave me Papaverine injections). They did another ultrasound and said I'm not pregnant and never was, even though I took several tests and all were positive... And this month, my "period" came 10 days early and is very light, similar to last time... While I was in the hospital, they checked me thoroughly and said I'm healthy...

There's a magical, feminine herb called Red Brush or Boronova uterus. For hormonal imbalances, they prescribed me hormone pills, but I refused to take them and turned to an herbalist grandmother. She prescribed me to drink this herb for life. I take breaks for 3 months, then start again, and thank God, everything's fine.
