Ovarian cyst rupture!

Ovarian cyst rupture!

It so happened that I ended up in the hospital on the third day, the pain wasn't severe. The doctor said I was lucky, we can treat it without surgery with pills. Like, everything will resolve on its own. I've been lying here for 2 days already and it really hardly hurts anymore. Is it really possible? As far as I know, such things are only treated surgically.

Do they treat ovarian cyst rupture with pills??????? I won't comment on your doctor's professionalism. But... I had this happen when I was 20. Thought I was going to die. The cyst ruptured (I didn't know I had it) during sex. Felt a sharp pain, but it quickly passed. We even went for a walk after intercourse. Six hours later, I started losing consciousness. There wasn't much pain, but I had a pre-fainting state, some other symptoms (won't describe them), but not as significant. We called an ambulance. The doctor said if a couple more hours had passed, they wouldn't have been able to save me. Bleeding started due to the rupture, and blood poured into the abdominal cavity. After the surgery, I spent three days in intensive care... barely recovered. Then I've been suffering from adhesions my whole life... Anyway, that's my story. Maybe yours is different? But if the diagnosis is exactly that, then... I've never heard of it being treated with pills only(( My acquaintance had the same thing, also had surgery.

I also had a cyst on one side... the doctor prescribed pills... and it dissolved... but then one appeared on the other side... I was told it would keep appearing, sometimes on one side, sometimes on the other...((

Guest 1, I'm also just stunned, they always perform surgery when something like this happens. On the other hand, today the pain is only felt with strong pressure. I'm not fainting. So, recovery really is happening. Probably. Anyway, I'm in turmoil.

You simply have a cyst, not a "ruptured cyst." These are two different things. A cyst is treated with medication to reduce inflammation, possibly antibiotics, and then hormonal contraceptives...

I had a ruptured cyst after sex and was immediately taken for surgery; blood entered the abdominal cavity, otherwise I would have died. But maybe in your case, the blood came out externally, or it wasn't a rupture at all, just a cyst?

"No, it's specifically a rupture, there's fluid in the pelvic cavity, I suppose. There's none in the abdominal cavity. Probably just a small amount of fluid."
#7
I can't say for 100%, but there are two types:

1. Blood enters the abdominal cavity

2. Blood remains in the peritubal space and doesn't spread anywhere

And apparently, the second case doesn't require surgery

But this is just from general information; I'm not a doctor, so I don't know for sure

Hello. I'm currently in the hospital. Here's what happened: I was having sex with my partner when suddenly there was a sharp pain. (I didn't know about the cyst.) I went home thinking I was going to die—the pain was excruciating. We called an ambulance—turns out it was a ruptured cyst and internal bleeding in the abdominal cavity. They performed emergency surgery, and I was in the ICU. They said if I had waited another day, it would have been the end for me. This is all so scary, girls...((

I was diagnosed with a functional cyst after visiting a gynecologist for lower abdominal pain, and I was prescribed pills yesterday. In the evening, I had sharp pains in my lower abdomen but didn't call an ambulance, and it eventually went away. Today I feel okay, though I still have a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen... What should I do?!

Girls, what kind of discharge did you have after the surgery (around the 10th day)??

I recently had a ruptured cyst in my left ovary, also after sexual intercourse. It happened in the evening; suddenly, I felt pain in my abdomen (or rather, lower down). I endured that pain for half a day, hoping it would go away, but my family convinced me to go to the hospital. At the hospital, I saw a gynecologist who actually performed an ultrasound (!!!) and said it was a ruptured cyst and that I needed to be hospitalized for IV drips and to take some pills. I was admitted that evening, and the next morning, while waiting for an injection outside the procedure room, I started feeling worse. By then, the gynecologist who had examined me had already left, and a different one (a woman) came. She took me for another ultrasound, and after doing it, she practically cursed remembering the other doctor and said I needed emergency surgery. So, just an hour later, I had the operation urgently. I was very lucky; if I had stayed home longer or just received the IV treatment in the hospital, I could have suffered from toxication.

I'm glad the surgery was done immediately—there was no time or energy to stress or worry beforehand. I came to my senses the same day and was able to get up on my own by the evening. I was discharged home after six days. I'll never take my health lightly again and will go to the doctor at the slightest issue. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I'm currently in the hospital after a ruptured cyst in my left ovary caused bleeding into the abdominal cavity... I had surgery... It's been 6 days now, and my temperature remains at 37.5-37.3°C and won't go down... My abdomen hurts specifically on the right side... I don't know what to think... The doctor will only come on Monday.

I had a ruptured cyst in my right ovary. It all happened after intercourse. I suddenly felt hot, had pain in my lower abdomen, and felt nauseous. I couldn't even move my legs. When I was taken to the hospital, they told me that I had internal bleeding in my abdominal cavity. They performed emergency surgery. Now I'm lying in the hospital and still don't know what they removed and what they didn't. The doctors aren't giving me any clear answers :-(

I'm 17 years old. I had a ruptured cyst in my right ovary. During intercourse, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I thought it was just before my period (I always have pain then). We didn't call an ambulance. I suffered all night... the pain would stop and then start again. I barely made it to the morning... when I started to get up, I felt dizzy, nauseous, feverish, and nearly fainted... I couldn't even go to the bathroom... we called an ambulance, and they said it was appendicitis... but when I was taken to the hospital, they did an ultrasound and found out it was a cyst and that some kind of stalks had twisted... they quickly took all the tests and rushed me into surgery... I only had time to call my mom, and she rushed over immediately... they gave me an injection in my back, and the surgery lasted 2 hours. Then I spent 10 days in the hospital, and no one told me anything... when I was discharged, they said that the cyst had ruptured and blood had entered the abdominal cavity (and I wondered why I had a tube in my stomach with a bag at the end—apparently, it was for the leftover blood to drain). In the end, they removed one of my ovaries... now I'm taking hormones...

I also had a ruptured cyst. I started bleeding, and by the third day, it became so unbearable that we called an ambulance. I was hospitalized, but nothing happened... I wasn't treated with anything, and they didn't know what was wrong with me... So I lay there for a week, not allowed to eat or drink much, and in the end, after a week, the doctors finally took action and performed surgery on me. That's how it goes sometimes. I left the hospital severely exhausted as well.

Girls, I understand you all so well. In 2010, I also had a cyst rupture. My stomach started hurting badly at night. Then I waited until morning and took a Ketanol pill, then a second, a third, but nothing helped. I went outside and fainted, and then it was the hospital and surgery. The histology showed it was an endometrioid cyst. After that, they prescribed hormones. And in February 2011, the same ovary ruptured again, and another surgery—I just can't take it anymore, and I'm only 27 years old, and back on hormones. I feel really bad, I don't know how to go on living with all this, I'm afraid of everything. There hasn't been a day when I haven't thought about it. I want a child so much, and now I don't even know if I'll be able to have one or not.

Girls, you can give birth after such surgeries! Don't even worry, with proper treatment and keeping yourself in shape—you can have a baby, and what a wonderful one at that!))) I'm 26 years old, ovarian cyst apoplexy, SECONDARY!!!! I ended up on the operating table for the second time!!!! The first time at 22, and now at 26, just like that. The same surgeons and the same operating team even performed the surgery in the same hospital. Thank God they didn't remove anything, but the second time, based on the symptoms, I guessed what was causing my abdominal pain and endured it for 3 days, since I know what a major surgery is like, hoping it would go away on its own—I almost ended up with peritonitis. It's a good thing it wasn't much, only 350 ml of blood spilled into my abdomen. The first time was a VERY severe blood loss, about 1.5 liters—and that happened in just a few minutes. I couldn't bear the pain then; I was just dying quickly, quickly. I was very lucky that both the first and second times, I ended up with very good doctors who operated promptly and even used cosmetic stitches, preserving my organs. Girls! This is a very serious topic, and for years I've been wondering about the causes of these cysts appearing and developing—I still haven't found an answer. Hormonal imbalances, maybe inflammation, or even physical exertion can trigger a cyst rupture, especially during ovulation, but as for their formation... Anyway, take care of yourselves! Regular gynecological check-ups, get your hormone levels tested, avoid inflammatory processes, constant monitoring if you're prone to cysts—AND EVEN THAT WON'T GUARANTEE you won't have a recurrence, a cyst rupture, and another surgery—everything all over again: general anesthesia, cutting through the old scar, and it's all repeated, and it could happen many, many times... After this second surgery, I'm in terrible turmoil—might even need to see a psychologist..... I wish everyone to be healthy!

A month ago, I had surgery, same story... After sex, a cyst ruptured in my left ovary, there was blood in my abdomen and the posterior space. After the surgery, I was bedridden for a week, and they prescribed Yarina birth control pills. But at a follow-up consultation with my local doctor, she said Novinet would be better! I started taking it from the first day of my period, and after it ended, a couple of days later, I had sex with my boyfriend and started bleeding, pinkish at that... Then it turned into just spotting. I suspect it's from the pills, but what if something serious happens? I'm only supposed to go for an ultrasound after finishing the first month of pills. Girls, if you need to choose pills based on tests, is it a lot of hassle and tests?

Girls, I totally get you... I've been struggling with this my whole life—either apoplexy or cysts. I know every gynecology department in town by now. I had surgery... and was put on an IV two more times! And yes, that happens! There are good doctors out there! I ended up in the hospital after taking a bath, swung one leg over and screamed in pain... I lay there for three days with a 39°C fever, crying. Then my relatives transferred me to a good hospital where I stayed for 22 days. They injected me with Metrogyl, antibiotics, Diclofenac, vitamins, induced my period, gave me calcium chloride, magnesium—but they saved my ovary. They also used tampons, which would be covered in blood and pus in the morning. Please, take care of yourselves from a young age! And I don't even want to remember the surgery—the doctor pressed on me in the emergency room, and the cyst burst... Now I have adhesions for life, constant pain, and only one healthy ovary... Cysts are such a nuisance; they pop up here and there. As it was explained to me, there's a predisposition to them, and one of the causes could be the thyroid... Today, I had severe pain down there again—but it's eased up now... and men just don't understand, it's frustrating... Tomorrow, I'm going for an ultrasound to check for fluid. And then, when my period comes—it's back on hormones for six months...

Please help me. Three days ago after intercourse, I had a sharp pain in my lower abdomen, dizziness, and fainting, so we called an ambulance. The doctor diagnosed me with ovarian apoplexy. They brought me to the hospital, but the pain went away, and due to the staff's rude and unclear remarks, I refused hospitalization. No one explained to me what it was or how it could end. After that, a day later, I went to see my gynecologist and had an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. The doctor prescribed me to take metronidazole and come back in 10 days. Is this normal? In all the chaos, I didn't really ask anything, but when I got home and read online, I was horrified. Now I have a persistent temperature of 37.5°C.

Two days ago, everything was the same for me—during sex, a sharp pain, couldn't straighten up, sat on the floor, alternating between hot and cold flashes, tried to stand up, knees shaking, felt nauseous, dizzy, and almost fainted. We didn't call an ambulance; the next day was a bit better, so I went to a private clinic, had an ultrasound, and they said it seemed like a cyst had ruptured. I also had a delayed period, and my period started in the morning. Today, I went to the local clinic, and they told me it seemed like I caught a chill, and maybe the cyst ruptured, but that I got off lightly, nothing serious, and prescribed some pills. But in the evening, I realized it might not be my period—it almost stopped, and something came out, like a burst bubble of mucous, transparent-beige with blood... Is this bleeding? I'm really scared; should I go to the doctor again tomorrow or what should I do?

After my cyst rupture, the doctors at an expensive clinic prescribed a bunch of antibiotics, Metrogyl, calcium chloride, Milgamma, Diclofenac, Diflucan intravenously. And tablets like Tavanic and a few others. I had to go to them for 5 days to get this done. Tell me, is it possible to treat a rupture with such treatment? It's specifically a rupture, not just a cyst. There was severe pain, a little bleeding... but now, after reading everything, I feel kind of uneasy!..

I understand that they prescribed you this treatment to help reabsorb the fluid that came out during the rupture, and in the future, they should prescribe hormones to prevent it from happening again. That's what they do for me///

Ladies) sweethearts) there are different types of cyst ruptures, all depending on their location! I experienced this unpleasant thing a few hours ago... I'm a nurse myself and right during my shift, I started feeling unwell, just as described above... went for an ultrasound, it was a cyst... while waiting for my gynecologist, it burst. And the cyst was follicular, so there's bleeding into the ovary, not into the abdominal cavity... and accordingly, if the bleeding isn't into the abdominal cavity, it's treated with IVs and pills! Which I started doing this evening) Take care of yourselves, girls!!! They immediately told me to get tested for STIs, as a cyst can be due to an inflammatory process, or because of thin ovarian walls, or a predisposition to them. Stay healthy!

It got a bit better later, but I didn't go to the hospital. I didn't have any other symptoms that were mentioned, but now after reading, I'm really scared.(

Ugh... everything seems standard... same with me. Sexual intercourse, wild pain, pressure on the anus... For two days, I proudly suffered at home, expecting the terrible aching and stabbing pains to go away on their own!! It's scary to go to doctors... it's nerves, fear that they'll do everything wrong and not what's needed, a ton of money, sick leave at a new job, etc... But it was impossible to endure any longer, so I called the local ambulance, and they asked me: "What do you want from us?" I said, I want an ultrasound... Laughter on the line: "What? An ultrasound? It's Sunday, girl, and it's not certain we'll take you to the hospital... and even then, it's not certain they'll do an ultrasound for you." After that fantastic conversation, I went with my husband to a private women's clinic, from which we both rode in a white-and-red "ambulance" car... At the hospital, they scolded me for not calling an ambulance on the first day and said they would have to operate on me now... So here I am lying with a cold compress on my belly, two shots in my butt, and antibiotics in my stomach, waiting for the verdict!....... The moral of this story is, girls, we pay quite a lot into the budget for health insurance and social security! These amounts, I tell you as an accountant, are not small!!! Don't be afraid to go to hospitals and stand up for yourselves!! No one needs us except ourselves!

Hello, my name is Olga, and I'm from Israel. About a month ago, after intercourse, a cyst on my first ovary ruptured. At first, there was severe pain accompanied by diarrhea, and it got to the point where I couldn't lie down, sit, or stand—only in a semi-bent position did we manage to get to the hospital. The doctors took a long time to determine whether it was a ruptured cyst or pelvic inflammation because there was a lot of fluid inside. The bleeding continued and got so bad that I started to suffocate as the blood reached my lungs. A couple of hours later, I had surgery, and finally, all the terrible pain ended. Girls, go to the gynecologist every month and get checked because health is the most important thing :)

A very familiar situation ((( I've had a cyst rupture twice. The first time was 4 years ago. After intercourse, my stomach hurt so badly, I was doubled over in pain, thought I was going to die. We called an ambulance, arrived at the hospital, they did a puncture, found blood, and an hour later I had surgery. Then I stayed for 5 days and was discharged. And everything would have been fine, but a week ago again after intercourse... pain... ambulance... hospital... puncture... but! This time, there wasn't blood in the peritoneum, but fluid. The doctor waited for it to drain out and said that since there was no blood, surgery wasn't necessary. He only prescribed painkillers and hemostatic agents. After 4 days, I was discharged... now my right side hurts terribly and it's not getting any better... I'm scared... tomorrow I'm going to the women's clinic for an appointment. I hope everything will be okay.

This morning after intercourse, my stomach hurt badly. I took two pills thinking it would go away, but no. I called an ambulance, they brought me to the hospital, ran all the tests, and by then my stomach pain had subsided, only hurting when I urinated. They admitted me to the hospital, and the doctor said it was a ruptured ovarian cyst with internal bleeding. Of course, I was in shock and asked what to do, since I wasn't bleeding externally. They told me they'd give me an injection to prevent bleeding and that the doctor would see me tomorrow. Horrible!!! Girls, what should I do? The stories I've heard from the roommates here... brrr.

So after the abortion, I had excruciating pain in my lower abdomen; I couldn't straighten up at all. First, I felt intensely hot, then cold, almost lost consciousness, and for some reason, I couldn't feel my hands. I took "MIG," and after about 10-15 minutes of twisting in pain, it started to subside. I didn't call an ambulance. The next morning, I got up as if nothing had happened. I went to a private clinic. The doctor just examined me, I described my condition from the night before, and she said it was most likely a ruptured cyst, that it was nothing serious, like, well, it ruptured, so be it. Now I'm sitting here, reading and thinking... who should I run to.

I am 20 years old. A year ago, I had an ovarian cyst rupture. It all happened after intercourse. At first, my stomach started to hurt, but the pain was still bearable. I suffered from around 1 a.m. until 7 a.m.—my sleep was intermittent, and I couldn't turn over... In the morning, I couldn't even get up (I needed to go to work). My stomach became as big as a pregnant woman's and was pulsating intensely. Around 8 a.m., someone called an ambulance for me. When they arrived, they suspected I had appendicitis, but when I told them it all happened after intercourse, they said it was an ectopic pregnancy... I almost went crazy. With my last bit of strength, I got up and went to the bathroom... and fainted there. They dragged me back to the bed and gave me smelling salts. On the way to the hospital and while there, I fainted about six times! At the hospital, they examined me on the chair, then performed a puncture... I woke up on the operating table. They told me there was a lot of blood in my abdominal cavity and they were about to operate. The surgery lasted about three hours... The recovery period was tough; it was like I had to learn to walk again, I couldn't stand up, and sitting was very painful. They saved me in time; they said if it had been another 1-2 hours, it would have been too late... Now the scar has healed, and everything is great))))) I just don't know how I'll be able to give birth in the future... naturally or by C-section....

Hello, ladies. Sorry for stepping into your space, but I have this issue... I just got back from military service and while I was away, I found out that my beloved had an ovarian cyst rupture. Can you tell me, does this always happen during sex or can it just occur on its own? I'm really afraid she didn't wait for me, my darling. Please, no solidarity with her on this matter. Thanks in advance, you'd really help me out emotionally.

Not at all! A cyst rupture can happen from simple exertion—lifting something heavy, exercising, etc.—or simply because the cyst burst due to its large size. After intercourse, a woman's immune system isn't weakened; on the contrary! A rupture after intercourse can occur just like with physical strain, but it's not at all inevitable! However, the formation of cysts is a hormonal issue; for young women, when it's time to have children but they haven't even had sex—that's one of the causes of cysts. So, dear Alexander, don't trouble your mind with suspicions of your girlfriend's infidelity over a cyst rupture, that's for sure. I've had two, and neither burst from sexual activity. One ruptured from heavy lifting.

Hello! I'm 20 years old. A year ago, I had an ovarian cyst rupture. At 2 a.m. from Saturday to Sunday, we called an ambulance because I was in excruciating pain, bleeding, starting to lose consciousness, and vomiting. After explaining everything to the paramedic and showing that I was bleeding, he calmly said, "You have a bladder infection, go to the hospital," gave me painkillers, and left. By morning, my husband had to dress me because I couldn't do anything myself. We arrived at the hospital, and I was urgently operated on. The doctor said if I had been brought in at night, surgery could have been avoided!!! They saved my ovary and said I would be able to have children. But a year has passed, and the cyst still comes and goes, with periodic pain. Doctors say I need to give birth; after childbirth, the body will readjust, and everything will be fine. But I just can't seem to get pregnant!!!

Hello, girls! I'm also 20 years old, same story: had intercourse, followed by severe lower abdominal pain. I couldn't stand up, forget standing... I couldn't even move my legs. I only made it to the hospital the next day, and the surgeon immediately told me it was internal bleeding. I was so scared. They referred me to a gynecologist, who said everything was fine. Long story short, girls, don't delay with this... I kept putting off going to the hospital, thinking it would go away on its own, and in the end, they barely saved me! A cyst on my right ovary ruptured, I lost a lot of blood, and the surgery lasted 3 hours. I spent 10 days in the hospital and just got home today. The incision hurts, my stomach hurts, I can only lie on my back—when I turn on my side, everything inside stabs sharply. It's all so scary! Now my boyfriend and I are afraid to even think about sex, let alone have it! And I don't know how I'll be able to get pregnant now since my ovary was affected. Take care of yourselves, girls! We're future mothers, after all. Wishing everyone good health.

Hello, ladies. For three days, I had a pulling pain in the lower right abdomen and thought it was appendicitis, but yesterday I went to the gynecologist and they found a 7-centimeter cyst. At first, they wanted to send me for surgery, but after consulting with the head of the department, they decided to hold off for now. Then, before going to bed, the pain in my lower abdomen intensified, not on the right but in the center—it was tolerable, and I felt fine overall. This morning, I woke up with no pain at all, neither on the right nor in the center. I haven't taken any pills. Can you please tell me what this was? Did the cyst dissolve or did it rupture? I'm scared and don't know what to do....(((( Thank you all so much in advance.

Hello, my friend had the same situation: sharp pain in the lower abdomen after intercourse, we immediately called an ambulance, all tests were done, it was a ruptured cyst. She was operated on a couple of hours later; the cyst was removed, and the blood was drained! I'm very worried about the consequences, please describe in detail! How, what, and how long is the treatment, and what are the consequences? I've read a lot and am very concerned! The surgery went well.

Hey girls, now I'll tell you my story. On the evening of October 26th, I had some pain, after which my lower abdomen started cramping badly. We called an ambulance, they examined me and sent me to the hospital by ambulance. They put me on the chair, poked and prodded, did a puncture – the blood was dark burgundy. Well, I didn't understand what was what, but they said, "We're going to operate..." I was in shock, they put a catheter in my arm, I was hysterical – where are you going to cut, what's the matter? They said it was a ruptured ovary. I was in shock, and we had even been drinking during the day for a birthday. The anesthesiologist comes in, and I'll tell you, he was in the same state as me after the birthday party))) In short, I ran away from that hospital in hysterics, causing a huge scene, and they shouted after me, "Fool, you'll die in an hour..." My husband was in a panic trying to drag me back, but I wouldn't budge... We got home, put ice on my stomach, and went to sleep... I woke up alive) Since we don't have ultrasound available in our city on Sundays, I postponed it until Monday... When I went to the lady for the ultrasound, I told her the story – a day and a half ago they diagnosed me with a ruptured ovary and blood in the peritoneum... And she looks at me and says... "Hmm, so what, you're still alive?" and laughs))) I'll tell you, of course, I found it funny, but at the same time, I realized I had run away at my own risk. They did the ultrasound, and it turned out – well, not exactly an ovarian inflammation, and most likely a ruptured corpus luteum or whatever it's called)... Anyway, I have another ultrasound scheduled for Friday, but I'm glad I listened to my body and didn't let them cut who knows what))) And also, my pain radiates more to the left side, but they were planning to cut on the right... So that's my story... Don't get sick, girls, and get an ultrasound once a year) Then nothing will just burst for anyone))) Good luck!!!
