Treat it before it reaches the third, final stage. After that, it becomes cancer.

And what is this?

I also had grade two, they said it was already precancerous, and they cauterised it with a laser. I had erosion plus a virus, and they will take a test for oncogenic cells, after which they will decide how to treat it. I'm in Moscow, and I was treated at Oncology Clinic No. 1 on Baumanskaya. The whole procedure takes 10 minutes, with more hassle coming from the tests. Don't worry, all of this is treatable.

I also had dysplasia and underwent a conization procedure. And then it's important not to forget to get regular Pap smears! The main thing is to get treated—the sooner, the better!

Author, what operation are they suggesting to you? And then, why are you turning to forums with such questions? You're already "in the know" since such a diagnosis has been made, meaning you've been to a doctor. What does the doctor say? Have you already had a colposcopy followed by a biopsy? My advice to you is not to delay, speak with doctors, and preferably, get opinions from two or three. If you haven't given birth but plan to have children in the future, you need to choose the optimal type of treatment for you. I've been through all of this. In the end, it was surgery and removal of the uterus. But it's easier for me since I already have two grown children, and I haven't been a girl for a long time... You, as I understand, are still young. Don't let it worsen, get treatment... Good luck to you!

Hello! I've been scheduled for a biopsy, dysplasia is suspected... based on the smear, they're diagnosing dysplasia of grade 2-3... they're threatening to remove the cervix if grade 3 is confirmed. I haven't given birth, and all of this, of course, is quite frightening... Could you share your experience of how it came to the removal of the uterus for you? And how do you live with it, aside from the loss of reproductive function? I just want to know all the possible scenarios... Thank you!

Good day... I am 32 years old and was diagnosed with stage 3... I had surgery 5 days ago, although I requested general anaesthesia, and in the end, I'm running around and it feels as if nothing happened... It was very frightening... especially since I haven't given birth... Everything went well... My doctor promises that I can still have children, though there's a month-long course of treatment ahead, and there is hope for the best... I wish all the girls health, strength, and patience!!!

My grade 3 cervical and cervical canal dysplasia was treated without surgery. I was treated with Photodynamic Therapy, which is the most advanced method.

They did not determine the initial stage of cervical dysplasia from the STI smear test results. Apart from therapeutic treatment, they did not suggest anything else. I have never had any gynecological issues before. How could this have developed? I work at a company where I undergo an annual medical check-up. I have been working there for 20 years, and suddenly this year, dysplasia was detected. I have been having smear tests and check-ups every year. How could this have appeared?

And what should I do? I am not entirely convinced. Please advise. Thank you.

I'm also 32 and had this minor operation last year, now I'm under observation. My advice is to visit 2-3 doctors before proceeding and redo the tests; they wrote that I had dysplasia 2-3, but it turned out to be the earliest stage (koilocytosis). Luckily, they removed just the edge, not a cone (cervical excision). I haven't given birth yet either; if too much is removed, it can be difficult to carry a child later, but you can't delay, you need to get treatment!

I had cervical dysplasia grade 3 and also vulvar leukoplakia. The dysplasia was treated first with laser and then photodynamic therapy. But I have leukoplakia, so I'm constantly afraid, what if... It's only been 3 months since the treatment. Has anyone else experienced this? What are you currently using to treat vulvar leukoplakia?

I had grade 2 dysplasia and HPV 16/18 three years ago. I underwent three courses of treatment: the first was immunostimulating therapy plus Indinol for 1.5 months, followed by two more courses of Indinol, each lasting 1.5 months. After that, everything was clear, and I monitored it for a year. Now, I have a little daughter growing up, and I recently had another cytology test—waiting for the results...

Olya, how do you eat? Do you follow a diet? I try to myself, but I don't know what's allowed and what's necessary. Here in the village, there are many products, but you can't find the ones you need.

I'm following a diet because I'm currently breastfeeding, otherwise I would eat whatever I want.

Irina, how are you doing since your treatment? It's been six months since your treatment ended. Are you having tests every three months? Please reply.

Mariana, where are you from? Maybe you have laser treatment there.

Damn, I was diagnosed with dysplasia 1 in cytology this summer, but the biopsy came back clear. And the doctor said such cytology could be due to inflammation. I had already relaxed and forgotten about it, but then I went to retake the cytology in another city—and there's atypia in the cervical canal(((. Now they're saying I need a cervical curettage—I'm terrified, just speechless, what if it's cancer and I haven't even had children yet(((.

Your textHello Faya! I live in the Stavropol region.... I haven't looked into the laser yet.... Today I got my HPV test results—they were good... negative... On Friday, I'll get the biopsy results.... Yes... Also, the ultrasound showed that there are small polyps in the cervix and a small cyst in the endometrium too... They're actually going to do a curettage on Friday... under anaesthesia.

Hello. I have this situation. I'm 49 years old. I had a biopsy, and they diagnosed me with grade 2 dysplasia of the 3rd cross. But the conclusion was given by a pathologist; for some reason, he was the one who did the analysis. They're suggesting conization. I visited a Tibetan medicine doctor, and he recommended treating it with herbs. I don't know what to do.

But I just don't get it – is there any fundamental difference between cervical dysplasia and dysplasia of the cervical canal? My test results from different clinics don't match up, and now I'm waiting for the histology report... They say the treatment will vary depending on the location of the lesion.

I've received the biopsy results... dysplasia wasn't confirmed... cervical erosion—that's the biopsy outcome... the polyps have been removed... now I'm waiting for the histology report....... hoping everything will be fine!

Now I'm waiting for the histology... with such hope for good results!!! Thank you for your wishes!!! My wishes are mutual!!! The main thing is to believe in the best... everything will be fine for you too!!! Good luck to you!

Girls, can you advise? They say that when there are "women's issues," it's recommended to give birth to reset the hormonal balance (or whatever happens with it). I had stage 3 dysplasia. I had a minor operation where they removed a cone-shaped piece. They said I could give birth in six months. So, do I need to have a baby... or can I postpone it for a couple of years?

Olga, IMHO, they mean that if you WANT to, then you can give birth no earlier than in six months.

Actually, when I was told that I might have dysplasia, they also informed me that I would have to forget about pregnancy for at least six months(( So, regarding the idea that you absolutely MUST give birth - that's nonsense.
Ольга

Well... it means that to avoid any predisposition, one should get pregnant after six months. To renew the body. But that's not what doctors said... it's like "folk advice"!

Girls, what a joy that I found this forum. I scoured the entire internet, all the forums from 3-6 years ago. I also waited for my biopsy results—first-degree dysplasia. When I read online that it's a precancerous condition, I cried for half a day, even wrote my will. Then I read a lot more online and grew bolder. The only thing is, I'm 32, and my husband and I were just planning to have a baby, and now this. So here I am, sitting and agonising. The doctor suggests conisation, but I'm afraid I won't be able to give birth afterwards. On the other hand, I'm scared of letting it progress and making things worse. There was a post on the forum about photodynamic therapy—can anyone recommend where it's best to have it done?

Hello everyone)) I was diagnosed with dysplasia of grade 2-3 in December 2010, and in February 2011, I had a cone biopsy (an unpleasant procedure, but quick and bearable). Now I'm in my fourth month of pregnancy, and the gynaecologist said I'm a candidate for a C-section because of the cone biopsy.. It's a bummer, I was already set on giving birth naturally:(

Hello everyone! In June, I had a laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst. I have endometriosis and hormonal imbalances. I haven't been able to get pregnant for 4 years now. And then, after a biopsy in December, I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia grade 2. In February, I'm going to see an oncogynecologist. I'm really scared. Health issues just keep piling up, and you don't know which one to treat first. :-((

Hello everyone! I'm 26 years old, have two children, and after giving birth, I was diagnosed with mild dysplasia and referred for a colposcopy. The colposcopy results showed dysplasia and inflammation. I was then tested for HPV 16/18 (not detected) and had an oncocytology test (signs of HPV). I've just had a biopsy, but for some reason, it was taken without a colposcope! Is that even allowed??? Now I'm waiting for the results! I'm really worried:(((

Now there's a mosaic pattern on colposcopy.

The doctor is referring me for oncocytology and biopsy, I'm so scared((((

I've had erosion. I didn't treat it for 3 years, I kept putting it off((

What's going to happen now((((

Oh, it'll be fine, get treated and everything will be OK! I also have high-risk HPV, plus I didn't treat my erosion for about 10 years. And now that I've decided to get pregnant, it all started. In the last six months, I've had 2 biopsies without a clear diagnosis, a whole stack of cytology tests and colposcopy reports.... Next month, another biopsy awaits. I've run out of strength and nerves for all this; that's what's really scary! Although, it's my own fault. Get treated, girls, you must do it ON TIME!

Albina, which city do you live in? Besides types 16 and 18, there are about ten other types of high-risk HPV. Is it really impossible to get a test for typing straight away??? Overall, I understand that the success in treating such ailments largely depends on the doctor's competence.

Hello, I'm 26 years old, and I've had untreated cervical erosion since I was about 18. I have a high-risk type of HPV. So far, I've only had a colposcopy, and there were some scary terms like "negative zones" and "atypical cells." Does anyone know what these mean? My appointment is only in a week.

Angelina, it's better to get a biopsy; it's much more accurate. They will explain everything to you in detail about your condition.
