Treat it before it reaches the third, final stage. After that, it becomes cancer.

I also had second-degree dysplasia, they said it was already precancerous, and they cauterized it with a laser. I had erosion plus a virus, and they will take a test for oncogenic cells before deciding how to treat it further. I'm in Moscow and was treated at Oncology Dispensary No. 1 on Baumanskaya. The whole procedure takes 10 minutes; the bigger hassle is with the tests. Don't worry, all of this is treatable.

I also had dysplasia—I had a conization done. And then you mustn't forget to get regular Pap smears! The most important thing is to get treatment—the sooner, the better!

Author, what surgery are they suggesting for you? And then, why are you turning to forums with such questions? You're already "in the loop" since you've received such a diagnosis, meaning you've been to a doctor. What does the doctor say? Have you already had a colposcopy followed by a biopsy? My advice to you is not to delay, talk to doctors, and preferably, get opinions from two or three. If you haven't given birth but plan to have children in the future, you need to choose the optimal type of treatment for you. I've been through all of this. In the end, it was surgery and removal of the uterus. But it's easier for me since I already have two grown children, and I haven't been a young girl for a long time... You, as I understand, are still young. Don't delay, get treatment... Good luck to you!

Hello! I've been scheduled for a biopsy, dysplasia is suspected... based on the smear, they're diagnosing dysplasia of grade 2-3... they're threatening to remove the cervix if grade 3 is confirmed. I haven't given birth, and all of this, of course, is frightening.. Could you share your experience, how did it come to the removal of the uterus for you? And how do you live with it, aside from the loss of reproductive function? I just want to know all the possible scenarios.. Thank you!

Good day... I'm 32 years old and was diagnosed with stage 3... I had surgery 5 days ago, though I asked for general anesthesia, and in the end, I'm up and about, feeling as if nothing happened... It was very scary... especially since I haven't given birth... Everything went well... My doctor promises that I can still have children, though there's a month-long treatment course ahead, and there's hope for the best... I wish all the girls health, strength, and patience!!!

My cervical and cervical canal dysplasia of the third degree was treated without surgery. I was treated with Photodynamic Therapy, which is the most advanced method.

They did not determine the initial stage of cervical dysplasia from the STI smear test result. They only suggested therapeutic treatment and nothing else. I have never had any gynecological issues before. How could this have appeared? I work at a company where I undergo an annual medical check-up. I have been working for 20 years, and suddenly this year they detected dysplasia. I have been getting smears and check-ups every year. How could this appear? And what should I do? I am not very convinced about this. Please advise. Thank you.

I'm also 32 and had this minor surgery last year, now I'm under observation. My advice is to consult 2-3 doctors before proceeding and retake the tests; they wrote me up as having dysplasia 2-3, but it turned out to be the earliest form (koilocytosis). Luckily, they removed just the edge, not a cone (cervical excision). I haven't given birth yet either; if they remove too much, it can be hard to carry a child later, but you can't delay, you need to get treated!

I had cervical dysplasia grade 3 and also vulvar leukoplakia. The dysplasia was treated first with laser and then photodynamic therapy. But I have leukoplakia, so I'm constantly afraid, what if... It's only been 3 months since the treatment. Has anyone else experienced this? How are you currently treating vulvar leukoplakia?

I had grade 2 dysplasia and HPV 16/18 three years ago. I underwent three courses of treatment: the first was immunostimulatory + Indinol for 1.5 months, followed by two more courses of Indinol for 1.5 months each. After that, everything was clear, and I monitored it for a year. Now, I have a little daughter growing up, and I recently took a cytology test again—waiting for the results...

Damn, I was diagnosed with dysplasia 1 in cytology this summer, but the biopsy came back clear. And the doctor said that such cytology could be due to inflammation. I had already relaxed and forgotten about it, but then I went to retake the cytology in another city—and there was atypia in the cervical canal(((. Now they're saying I need to have a cervical canal curettage, I'm terrified—there are no words, what if it's cancer and I haven't even given birth yet(((.
No one's writing anything, where did everyone disappear to?

Your textHello Faya! I live in the Stavropol region.... I haven't looked into the laser yet.... Today I got my HPV test results—they were good... negative... On Friday, I'll get the biopsy results.... Yes... Also, the ultrasound showed that there are small polyps in the cervix and a small cyst in the endometrium too... They're actually going to do a curettage on Friday... under anesthesia.

Hello. I have this situation. I'm 49 years old. I had a biopsy, and I was diagnosed with grade 2 dysplasia, 3 crosses. But the conclusion was given by a pathologist; for some reason, he performed the analysis. They're suggesting a conization. I visited a Tibetan medicine doctor, and he recommended treating it with herbs. I don't know what to do.
Your text. Irina, could you please tell me where you got treated and if you were cured?

I just don't get it – is there any fundamental difference between cervical dysplasia and dysplasia of the cervical canal? My test results from different clinics don’t match, and now I’m waiting for the histology report... They say the treatment will vary depending on the location of the lesion.

Lelik.... I also waited anxiously... cytology repeatedly indicated dysplasia for me... about 3-4 times.... but the biopsy didn't confirm it!!! Now I'm waiting for the histology results... waiting with such hope for good results!!! Thank you for your wishes!!! My wishes are mutual!!! The main thing is to believe in the best... everything will be fine for you too!!! Good luck to you!
Girls, tell me, they say that when there are "female issues," it's recommended to give birth to reset the hormonal balance (or whatever happens with it). I had stage 3 dysplasia. They performed a minor surgery, removed a cone-shaped piece. They said I could give birth in six months. So, do I need to have a baby... or can I postpone it for a couple of years?

Actually, when I was told that I might have dysplasia, they also informed me that I would have to forget about pregnancy for at least six months(( So, the idea that you absolutely MUST give birth is nonsense.

No... I mean, to avoid a predisposition, you should get pregnant after six months. To renew the body. But that's not what doctors said... it's like "folk advice"!

Girls, what a joy that I found this forum. I scoured the entire internet, all the forums were from 3-6 years ago. I also finally got my biopsy results—first-degree dysplasia. When I read online that it’s a precancerous condition, I cried for half a day, even wrote my will. Then I read a lot more online and gained some courage. The only thing is, I’m 32, and my husband and I were just planning to have a baby, and now this happens. So now I’m sitting here, tormented. The doctor suggests conization, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to give birth afterward. On the other hand, I’m afraid of letting it progress and making things worse. There was a post on the forum about photodynamic therapy—can anyone recommend where it’s best to do it?

Hello everyone)) I was diagnosed with dysplasia grade 2-3 in December 2010, and in February 2011 I had a cone biopsy (not a pleasant procedure, but quick and tolerable). Now I'm 4 months pregnant and my gynecologist said I'm a candidate for a C-section because of the cone biopsy.. It's a bummer, I was already set on giving birth naturally:(

Hello, everyone! In June, I had a laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst. I have endometriosis and hormonal imbalances. I haven't been able to get pregnant for four years now. And then, after a biopsy in December, I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia stage 2. In February, I'm going to see an oncogynecologist. I'm really scared. Health issues just keep piling up, and you don't even know which one to treat first. :-((

Hello everyone! I'm 26 years old, have two children, and after giving birth, I was diagnosed with mild dysplasia and referred for a colposcopy. The colposcopy results showed dysplasia and inflammation. I was then tested for HPV 16/18 (not detected) and oncocytology (signs of HPV). Now, I've had a biopsy done, but for some reason, it was taken without a colposcope! Is that even allowed??? Now I'm waiting for the results! I'm really worried:((

Oh, nothing will happen, get treated and everything will be fine! I also have high-risk HPV, plus I didn't treat my erosion for about 10 years. And now that I've decided to get pregnant, it all started. In the last six months, I've had 2 biopsies without a clear diagnosis, a whole stack of cytology tests and colposcopy reports.... Next month, another biopsy awaits. I'm out of strength and nerves for all this, that's what's really scary! Although, it's my own fault. Get treated, girls, you have to do it ON TIME!

Albina, which city do you live in? Besides types 16 and 18, there are about ten other types of high-risk HPV. Is it really impossible to get a test for typing right away??? Anyway, from what I understand, the success in treating such ailments largely depends on the doctor's competence.

Hello, I'm 26 years old, I've had untreated cervical erosion since I was about 18, and I have a high-risk HPV type. So far, I've only had a colposcopy, and they used some scary terms like "negative zones" and "atypical cells." Does anyone know what that means? I have an appointment, but it's not for another week.

Angelina, it's better to get a biopsy; it's much more accurate. They will explain everything to you in detail about your condition there.
