About the cyst in my breast

About 3 years ago, an ultrasound detected a breast cyst - around 6-7 mm. The doctor prescribed treatment: tablets, gel. I took the tablets for about 7-8 months. There was no result. The cyst didn't bother me or hurt. But because I could feel this cyst when touching (my breasts are very small) it would set my mind racing. I'm very anxious. The doctor decided to remove it (aspirate it with a syringe). After 6-8 months it appeared again in the same place. I gave up on it and just run for an ultrasound every 4-6 months, for my own peace of mind. And for the last six months, practically every month (1-2 times a month) my entire left arm aches from the shoulder to the hand and I immediately feel the cyst in my breast pulling. I've noticed it usually happens after I get stressed. Girls, those of you whose breast cyst hurts, what do you do? I apply Traumeel S (the doctor suggested it about 2 years ago, in case it started hurting) And can it hurt from nerves? My last ultrasound was just over 2 months ago. Should I run and get another ultrasound? I'm already fed up with these ultrasounds.

Oh, how I understand you. I have multiple cysts. My breasts do hurt, but not when I'm stressed—it's before my period, and it even aches under my arm. It goes away afterwards. Plus, I've had a fibroadenoma removed. The doctor says to look for the cause of the cysts in the ovaries. I need to have a pelvic ultrasound and treat the root cause. But generally, mastopathy and cysts are ailments of hysterical women, which I used to be, but now I'm trying to work on myself, taking valerian and motherwort.

Sorry, but perhaps you should consider changing your doctor? There are such indifferent ones who don't treat but just wait for things to happen, prescribing remedies that are of no use.

I used to see (about 2-3 years ago) three mammologists and around 5 ultrasound specialists. Why so many? Because in my breast, which is a minus first size ))), I found a little pea that rolled around. I was scared, that's an understatement. So I went to so many doctors to make sure it was a cyst. All the doctors prescribed the same thing. But the cyst didn't bother me before. The doctors said it didn't need treatment, just monitoring, as it's small. So I've been monitoring it, every 4-6 months. Once they even drained it, but it formed again. And now it's started to pull. Not strongly, but noticeably. In the second half of my cycle. And my arm pulls. Could it be from osteochondrosis?

Girls, I have the same issue. I'm 27, haven't given birth, have 4 cysts and 1 fibroadenoma in my left breast. I regularly have ultrasounds and tests for tumour markers, and I've undergone a course of medication treatment—without results, but thankfully they aren't growing either. I've noticed over the last six months that my breast really starts to hurt from stress (I'm still wondering if it's related or if it's just my imagination). They advise against removal; my own sister had exactly the same thing, only her fibroadenoma was removed back in school and it started growing again... It was discovered again during her first pregnancy, she breastfed for only two months and everything dissolved. The doctor was shocked, saying fibroadenomas are too dense to dissolve, especially since hers had grown back... Anyway, if anyone else has a similar predisposition, maybe there's hope...

And does your whole breast hurt or just the area where the cyst is?

Oh girls, how many of us are there? ((((((( It's true, I had a fibroadenoma, which was removed (and I'm only 18), and my breasts still hurt, especially before my period—they swell up as if they're about to burst.

Let's bring up a topic! Girls, how often do you get a breast ultrasound if you have a cyst? I can't calm down(( A month ago, I had two ultrasounds with two different specialists, saw a mammologist, everyone said it's a single cyst, small... This month, I'm planning to go for another ultrasound again... I'm trying to talk myself out of it)

I have been diagnosed with a cyst in my right breast, and I am experiencing pain under my right shoulder blade and in my right shoulder. Could this be related to the cyst? Additionally, I have clear-coloured discharge from my breast, which increases when I lift heavy objects. After sleeping, I notice traces of discharge on my underwear, resembling colostrum.

About four years ago, I went to a mammologist complaining of pain in one specific spot in my breast. He felt around and said everything was fine. What a jerk. Because a year later, cysts were discovered in that exact spot and then all over my breast.

And then, by the way, a fibroadenoma appeared precisely in the place where I had complained to that idiot doctor.

So, ladies, if something hurts, go straight for an ultrasound—that's point one. Point two—cysts are not cancer, don't be scared, many people have them, they live and don't die. Yes, you need to keep an eye on them, but there's no point in panicking. However, taking charge of your health—100%.

With cysts—immediately go to a gynaecologist for a pelvic ultrasound (even if you weren't told to, do it yourself; one lady at a free clinic didn't detect a small nodule for a year, while I was simultaneously getting checked at a private clinic and already knew about my gynaecological issues. That lady, of course, didn't send me for any ultrasound—she couldn't care less).

Another doctor you need is an endocrinologist. Definitely get your hormones checked; in my case, prolactin was elevated, which led (after I had an MRI of the pituitary gland) to the discovery of a pituitary microadenoma. But honestly, they found it, so what do we do about it? The same thing—I take Dostinex/Agalates and monitor it to make sure the microadenoma doesn't start growing. So, prolactin under control, and, of course, regular thyroid ultrasounds.

Returning to the topic of cysts. The aspiration procedure isn't particularly painful; going to the dentist is worse. I would rather have three aspirations than make one dental appointment. Incidentally, I did have three aspirations. It was fine. The doctor said it's always more painful if done right at the nipple, as there are more nerve endings there. But for the rest of the breast, not so much.

And! Importantly! Only undergo aspiration if the doctor is supported by an ultrasound specialist with their equipment. So the doctor can see where the needle is going and where it isn't. Otherwise, you risk having the aspiration done in the wrong place and extracting the wrong thing. Things can vary.

Regarding pain. It's definitely a matter of stress + menstrual cycles, but in general, if something hurts, that's already not normal. Go straight to a competent oncologist-mammologist. It's not normal if you can already feel something with your hands. Not normal—not in the sense of "Oh my God, it's all over!" but in the sense that ignoring it and thinking it will go away is foolish.

Go immediately to an oncologist-mammologist with an ultrasound.

))))))))))) I'd spend the time not on constant ultrasounds (what do the doctors tell you, how often do they suggest doing it? Imho, once every 3 months, definitely not once every 6), but on finding the source of the problem - as I wrote above, ultrasound of the thyroid, pelvic organs, hormones and so on.

Otherwise it feels like you're just waiting for the worst, not really preparing for the worst in any way, just worrying.

Good afternoon! I discovered a cyst in my breast a year and a half ago. With trembling hands, I rushed to a mammologist. Immediately after the ultrasound, fluid was drained from the cyst with a syringe. After examining the fluid visually, the doctor said there was no need to test it, as she saw nothing alarming in its consistency. She prescribed me some gel and tablets (I don’t remember which ones). After reading reviews about the questionable effectiveness of these expensive medications, I decided not to buy anything. A few months later, I found the cyst again in the same spot, only much larger. I booked an appointment with a mammologist, but the doctor I wanted to see had availability only two months later. Coincidentally, I ran out of my deodorant-antiperspirant and started using my husband’s deodorant (not an antiperspirant, just a regular deodorant!). I liked the scent so much that I continued using it for about 1.5 months. And oh, miracle! I noticed the cyst had significantly shrunk! I concluded for myself that one of the causes of breast cysts is the use of ANTIPERSPIRANTS! No mammologist will tell you this! Otherwise, they’d be out of a job! Today, the cyst is no longer palpable at all! Whether it’s a coincidence or not, I’d like to believe the cause was indeed this. Now, I steer clear of the shelves with these malicious inventions!

Apply Menovazin to your breast. You'll be surprised. Everything completely clears up. Also, No-Spa to relieve spasms, and try to stress less—motherwort reduces estrogen (which causes cysts) and calms you down.

Apply Menovasin to your breasts. You'll be surprised, it will help. Absolutely everything. Also, No-Spa to relieve spasms and try to stress less, motherwort reduces oestrogen (which causes cysts) and calms you down, but really, it all stems from gynaecological issues in the first place.

Also No-Spa to relieve spasms and try to stress less, motherwort reduces oestrogen (which causes cysts) and calms you down, but actually this all stems from gynaecological issues initially.

This is an old post, but I'll write anyway!
When I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, the doctor said: there's nothing that needs to be done, she didn't prescribe any treatment!!
As a result, after half a year, it's stage 2 adenomyosis!
That's how 'doctors treat' you.

Girls, I've been treating multiple cysts for about 10 years now, with no success. All my hormones are normal. I have a uterine fibroid. The mammologist punctures and scleroses the large cysts for me, and it's like this all the time. Every 4 months, another cyst grows, and I run to the doctor. The doctor says I need to cut out sweets, chocolate, and coffee. And he prescribed Dostinex, a medication that lowers prolactin. But my prolactin is normal. I think I'll give it a try, I'll take half a tablet a week for 2 months, maybe it will help... I'm emotional, of course, stress is also to blame for everything.

Hello! What's your maximum prolactin level and how low do you bring it down to? How do you take Agalates? Mine is also elevated (although they write the norm is up to 550) However, at 480 I'm a fool, with uncontrollable rage and paranoia. And also my favourite joints ache. Cysts, of course, loads and various. Discovered them after childbirth, 1.5 years later. It's been 9 years of all this now. Finally reached the point of wild pain from a cyst during my period. As soon as I lower it to 40, I'm a normal, serene person and my joints (I have a couple of favourites, had arthritis with swelling before) well: they shut up and stop whinging! My breasts also stop whinging.

Roughly what size were they? And did they hurt without pressing too? Mine is 4 cm.
