Hello, this is what happened to me. My husband and I weren't planning for children at this stage, we wanted to buy a flat, but I'd become very irritable over little things, my husband started joking that I must be pregnant, then all my friends noticed it too and insisted I see a doctor. I went, the doctor didn't delay anything and told me to come back in a week, I went back and he said I was 5 weeks pregnant. From the very thought that I was pregnant I stopped noticing that I was getting worked up over trivial things, but out of curiosity I decided to do a test and it showed one line. I bought expensive tests and they all showed one line without exception, plus my stomach started pulling like during my period. I asked the doctor to do an ultrasound but he says it's too early. I don't know what to do, has anyone else experienced this? Last year I had a termination because the doctor at the private clinic didn't notice that the pregnancy had stopped developing - I'm afraid this might happen again, and honestly I can't even believe that I'm pregnant!
My test also showed a negative result at 4-5 weeks of pregnancy, until after the doctor's check! And I couldn't believe I was pregnant either)))

In such situations, I would trust tests and ultrasounds. Get a blood test for hCG. Doctors can't see anything there in the early stages. At 13 weeks, my doctor didn't realize I was pregnant until I told her (I was seeing a gynecologist at another hospital for work reasons).

So were you actually pregnant in the end? How did your pregnancy go?

During my first pregnancy, hCG also didn't show that I was pregnant at this same stage.

So you have a delay, but the tests are negative? And your stomach is pulling as if before your period, with irritability? It generally seems more like PMS and a cycle disruption, and at 5 weeks, you can't say for sure about pregnancy without an ultrasound, and even an ultrasound might not always show it. If you have doubts, get a blood test for HCG. Although in my opinion, it's just hormones acting up, and there's no pregnancy.
I've already written about HCG, I don't really trust it that much, but not without reason, possibly hormones, yes there's a delay, irritability, nausea..

Only with an ultrasound!! I had a missed period, two lines on the test. I went to the gynaecologist, she examined me and said - pregnancy 4-5 weeks, no more. But she told me not to have an ultrasound, saying it's harmful or something like that. Yet I went for an ultrasound, and there was no pregnancy at all, but I had a cyst. Next time, I'll go straight for an ultrasound, and only then to the gynaecologist.

That's what I'm saying too - they told me it's too early for an ultrasound, they gave me an appointment for the 28th but I'm both curious and scared and it's weird, and I don't want to wait. Thank you for your answers.

I don't wait for a referral for an ultrasound; I go ahead and confidently have it done by a good specialist. My tests show one line, and hCG isn't my method (pregnancy has been confirmed). Author, you should change your doctor... Otherwise, you'll keep thinking ultrasounds are harmful).

The thing is, last year I did everything at a private clinic, a very famous one so to speak with a well-known name, but the doctor was somehow indifferent and after doing an ultrasound she said I had a cyst, not a pregnancy, and when I came to my current doctor she tried to save it but it was too late, I don't consider ultrasound harmful, hCG tests as it turned out aren't for me either, I just feel uneasy from thoughts about what and how. Something about doctors in this specialty just doesn't work out for me.

Might sound daft, but my mate uses her grandma's methods - she collects urine in a clean container and drips iodine in it. If the drop dissolves straight away, no pregnancy; if it stays on the surface for a bit, then there is. She told me loads of these, can't remember them all now

The most important thing if you want this pregnancy is don't have an ultrasound - it could provoke a miscarriage, and no examination before 9 weeks. For now, take folic acid and vitamin E. I had a missed miscarriage 5 years ago. Now I have two sons and I'm sitting here worrying about a delay. I took duphaston as prescribed by the doctor. Wishing you luck

Thanks for the answer,
Today I went to get the tests that are prescribed during pregnancy - blood tests and all that. My doctor has gone on holiday, so they sent me to another one. She says my uterus is enlarged but that's not a sign of pregnancy, and sent me for an ultrasound. I only managed to get to Bogolyubovo for the ultrasound, and so the outcome - I wanted to find out if I'm pregnant or not - we went to three doctors. Their answers: 1 - my doctor diagnosed pregnancy at 5-6 weeks, second doctor - hormone surge, at Bogolyubovo they said it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I've got more questions now, which I won't get answers to

Girls, I'm 8 days late, the test is negative. I've been measuring my temperature for 4 days now, it's 37.2°C. On the day my period was due, my stomach and back hurt. I really don't know what to think. I can't see a doctor for another 2 weeks.

Oh, first request – please don't throw slippers at me. Let me start with the backstory. My husband started a new job at the end of September and has been working tirelessly. We live in France, and my French is poor, but that’s not even the main issue. We’re in a small village-town with no buses or anything going to the bigger city. The only option is a car. So all this time, his days off are Saturday and Sunday, but gynecologists and clinics don’t work at all during that time. And on weekdays, he can’t take me because he’s working. Finally, we found a day next week... December 10th, to get an hCG blood test. May everyone have patience like mine. Not every woman could endure waiting this long, though my nerves are slowly fraying. My last period was on September 10th, and the delay is now around 50 days. I’ve taken 7 tests, roughly once a week, and every single one is starkly negative. At first, I blamed it on a cycle irregularity—I had one in July with a 58-day cycle—but now my cycle has stretched past 115 days, and that’s not normal. So here’s the question: do you think tests from the same batch and manufacturer could be so blatantly lying? They were all bought at the same pharmacy in Russia and brought to me by my mom... since tests in Europe are ridiculously expensive. The tests are Evitest (the ones with two in a blue box). I can’t think straight anymore; there’s a week until the test... As for indirect signs—maybe just my breasts, I haven’t noticed anything else, or maybe I don’t want to. If there is a baby, it’s very much wanted.

Nasyanya, I've also got an Evitest in the blue box that's not showing anything. Though my delay is a bit shorter—about 10 days. But I've been feeling nauseous for nearly 3 weeks now. My breasts are the same as before. I'm scared it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I'm going to the doctor today.

Girls!! I'm in the same situation, a 5-day delay (test is negative). But all the signs are like during my first pregnancy. I'll also share how I got pregnant the first time: on the day of my period, my stomach hurt badly, I even took Ketanol, and then there was a little spotting, but nothing after that. Of course, the test showed it straight away. But now everything's strange: in the middle of the cycle, exactly at ovulation, there was some spotting. The doctor prescribed vitamin E and told me to be extra careful with protection because vitamin E makes the egg go wild. So I'm wondering. I'm not nauseous, I'm eating salty things, I always wanted to sleep before my period—but not now, my boobs are a bit sore but not too much. And yes!!! Damn, this month I dreamt of fish again, and so much of it. Just like during my first pregnancy. But, of course, I wanted to get pregnant in about a year. I still haven't fully recovered from the first one; she's 4 years old, but such a rare little drama queen, and I carried her in my arms until she was 2. Just thinking about it makes me break out in a sweat.

And also, I did the test for the first time after a 10-day delay. Maybe 5 days is too short.
Ksenia, I also went through a tough time... For two and a half months, I thought I was pregnant, and the ultrasound showed a pregnancy... Then the bleeding started. I went for another ultrasound and they told me it was a cyst... You can't trust anyone.

Good afternoon, everyone! I have a question like this. I visited the doctor today, and he said I'm pregnant—though it's early stages, even though I had taken two tests before and both showed negative results. And today, I decided to double-check—still negative. Can that happen?

I currently have a 4-day delay. It's not much, but my cycles are regular at 25-27 days. Now it's already day 31. I took Evitest pregnancy tests, the ones in the blue pack with two tests inside, on days 27, 28, 29, and 31 of my cycle. All were negative. So, I decided to look up information to see if this could happen. It turns out it can. So, Evitest isn't flawless.

Girls. I'm in the same situation. Let me give you the backstory. I signed up for IVF, had the injections, but it didn't get to the egg retrieval stage because the follicles didn't grow to the required size. We decided to postpone it to the next cycle. The doctor prescribed me Duphaston to ensure my period would come on time. The day after what I thought was ovulation (according to the calendar), I had sex. Now I'm already 7 days late. The tests are negative. I dreamed of fish and woke up with saliva. Today, I feel a bit nauseous. Now I don't know what to do—whether to get an ultrasound, an hCG test, or see a doctor.
Ladies! Share your experiences! I'm 24! My husband and I decided it's time for a baby, and now I'm a week late. I've done loads of tests, all negative. My temperature has been 37°C for three days, my stomach aches occasionally, and my breasts aren't bothering me at all. What could this be? Has anyone else experienced this?

Many women often confuse a cyst with pregnancy, as in many cases it lasts until the 12th week and then resolves. Quite frequently, this actually indicates the beginning of a pregnancy.

I'm also at a loss about what to think. I'm 39 years old, experiencing early menopause, so I'm taking Femoston 2/10. My periods have always been regular anyway, but with Femoston, they've been arriving almost to the minute. And now, there's been a 5-day delay, but the tests are negative. However, when my period was due, I had stomach and back pain, but now it's only occasional brief twinges. My doctor is experienced and trusted; last time, she told me not to get my hopes up for nothing but not to stop believing in miracles either. So here I am, trying my hardest not to give up hope. Is there anyone in a similar situation?

Today is the second day of the delay, tests are negative, my lower abdomen hurts with a stabbing pain, I feel nauseous constantly, I'm always thirsty and running to the toilet frequently, alternating between diarrhea and constipation, my saliva is excessive even though I'm not hungry, I'm terribly irritable and everything annoys me, I feel nauseous especially in the evenings, heartburn is quite frequent, and my lower back is aching. I really want to become a mommy, but I'm afraid there's no pregnancy; these are such nerve-wracking moments. About a week after the presumed ovulation, there were reddish discharges but very little.

Girls, please help me out! I haven't had my period for 2 weeks now! All the tests are negative. I had an ultrasound, but they couldn't really tell me anything. They told me to come back for another one in a week. I've had symptoms like nausea, I'm eating like a horse, I've gained a lot of weight, Stretch marks have appeared on my breasts, This has never happened before, I took a digital test, and it was negative too. My breasts have become firm and are starting to ache on the sides. Girls, I really want to hope for the best. What do you think this could be????? Pregnant or not? Please advise! This has never happened to me before!

Hello everyone, I also have an 8-day delay. On the third day of the delay, I had a blood test for hCG, and it was negative too. On the sixth day, I visited the gynaecologist, who said there's nothing, apparently a disruption. I'm going for an ultrasound tomorrow. Since the day my period was due, I've been having a pulling sensation in my abdomen and lower back, and when I feel like eating, it almost makes me nauseous. I've measured my temperature a couple of times, and it's 36.8°C. And the most interesting thing is that spots resembling birthmarks have appeared around my nipples. Has anyone experienced anything like this? We're really hoping for a pregnancy; we've been trying for a year now. First, my prolactin was elevated, and I'm still taking Dostinex, then I had polyps removed at the CC. Now, I'm kind of upset that it seems like another disruption, and I was so hopeful!
Good afternoon. Could you advise what to do... I'm a mother of two children... currently, my eldest daughter is 2 years old and the youngest is 4 months old... I'm breastfeeding both of them. My last normal period was in May, and then they started spotting just on the first day... now they're completely absent. I took a test this morning—it's negative... what could this be??

Good afternoon! I have a 4-day delay, feeling nauseous, occasional pulling sensations in my abdomen and lower back, drowsiness, and my basal temperature is holding at 37.2–37.4 without dropping. A year ago, I had a missed miscarriage. I've taken 4 tests—all from different brands—but they all came back negative :( Could this still be pregnancy?? I've read that for many, tests didn't show anything, yet they were pregnant. I wanted to check—in such a situation, did the pregnancy proceed normally? Was the baby born healthy?

Good afternoon! There's a 10-day delay. My stomach keeps pulling, like before my period. My chest doesn't hurt and hasn't increased in size (though usually before my period, it's too tender to touch). I've been to the doctor, and they didn't see anything on the ultrasound, saying the uterus isn't enlarged. Tomorrow I'm going for an HCG test. Hope dies last!!!

I agree with Louise. My pregnancy was mistaken for a cyst. I had a missed period, and the tests showed nothing. I went for an ultrasound and was told it was a cyst. A week later, I visited the gynaecologist. He first looked via an abdominal ultrasound and saw nothing. Then he examined me vaginally and found a 5-week-old embryo in the uterus. Ladies, it's better not to have an ultrasound during pregnancy, at least until 12 weeks. It's preferable to get an hCG test instead.

Damn!!!!! Today the second test is negative((((( a week late. My lower back is killing me, my lower abdomen is sore, and my nipples are terribly painful, it hurts to touch them!!! For three days now, it feels like my uterus is just rigid!!! As if it's toned up!!! This is the first stimulation after being diagnosed with PCOS. They're stimulating with clomiphene. Girls, what do you think?! Damn, I really want this to be pregnancy!!! We've been trying for 8 years already.((((

Girls! I'm in a terrible situation too! For about two weeks now, I've been experiencing a pulling sensation and swelling in my lower abdomen. My back hasn't been hurting as it usually does before my period, and there are no changes with my breasts. I'm so irritable that I'm snapping at my boss for no reason. I've already taken three tests, and they're all negative. What could this be?

Hello everyone! I'll share my story, it might be helpful to someone. None of the tests showed anything, or rather, they showed just one line. I started taking tests after a 7-day delay. On the 8th day, I decided to get a blood test for HCG. Without pregnancy, HCG is less than 5. Mine was 6.98. I went to the doctor. She suspected an ectopic pregnancy because the HCG level was very low for a normal pregnancy. I went every two days to get my blood tested for HCG, and its level doubled daily, which corresponds to a normal pregnancy, but the location of the fetus was unclear. In the end, it turned out that my cycle had shifted just that month, and conception happened almost miraculously just before I expected my period. That's why the situation was confusing. Now I'm 10 weeks along, and the fetus is in the right place! So, girls, go get a blood test—as my story shows, it can detect pregnancy even at the very, very early stages.

Hello, please help me, girls. I had my period, but it usually lasts 7 days, and this time it was only 4 days and very light. I've been feeling very nauseous, have a temperature of 37°C, and my breasts are sore. After 5 days, I took a test, and it was negative. Could the test possibly be a false negative?
