Hello, this is what happened to me. My husband and I weren't planning to have children at this stage, we wanted to buy an apartment, but I started getting irritated over every little thing, my husband started joking that I must be pregnant, then all my friends noticed it too and insisted I see a doctor. I went, the doctor didn't delay anything and told me to come back in a week. I came back and he said I was 5 weeks pregnant. Just from the thought of being pregnant, I stopped noticing that I was getting mad over trivial things, but out of curiosity I decided to take a test and it showed one line. I bought expensive tests and they all showed one line, and my stomach started pulling like during my period. I asked the doctor to do an ultrasound but he said it's too early. I don't know what to do, has anyone experienced this? Last year I had to terminate a pregnancy because a doctor at a private clinic didn't notice that the pregnancy had stopped developing. I'm afraid this might happen again, and honestly I can't even believe that I'm pregnant!
I also had a negative test result at 4-5 weeks of pregnancy, until I checked with a doctor! And I couldn't believe I was pregnant either)))

My test only showed a positive result at the 6th week.

In such situations, I would trust tests and ultrasounds. Get a blood test for hCG. Doctors can't see anything there in the early stages. At 13 weeks, my doctor didn't realize I was pregnant until I told her (I was seeing a gynecologist at another hospital for work-related reasons).

So were you actually pregnant in the end? How did your pregnancy go?

During my first pregnancy, hCG also didn't show that I was pregnant at this same stage.

So you have a delay, but the tests are negative? And your stomach is pulling like before your period, with irritability? It actually seems more like PMS and a cycle disruption, and at 5 weeks, you can't say for sure about pregnancy without an ultrasound, and even an ultrasound might not always show it. If you have doubts, get a blood test for HCG. Although in my opinion, it's just hormones acting up, and there's no pregnancy.
I already wrote about hCG, I don't really trust it that much, but not without reason, maybe it's hormones, yes there's a delay, irritability, nausea..

Only with an ultrasound!! I had a missed period, two lines on the test. I went to the gynecologist, she examined me and said—pregnancy 4-5 weeks, no more. But she told me not to get an ultrasound, saying it's harmful or something like that. I went for an ultrasound anyway, and there was no pregnancy, but I had a cyst. Next time, I'll go straight for an ultrasound first, and only then to the gynecologist.

That's exactly what I'm saying - they told me it's too early for an ultrasound, they gave me an appointment for the 28th. But I'm both curious and scared and it feels weird, and I don't want to wait. Thank you all for your answers.

I don't wait for a referral for an ultrasound; I go ahead and confidently get it done by a good specialist. My tests show one line, and hCG isn't my method (pregnancy has been confirmed). Author, change your doctor... Otherwise, you'll keep thinking ultrasounds are harmful.

The thing is, last year I did everything at a private clinic, a very famous one so to speak with a well-known name, but the doctor just didn't care and after doing the ultrasound she said I had a cyst, not a pregnancy, and when I came to my current doctor she tried to save it but it was too late, I don't think ultrasound is harmful, hCG tests as it turned out aren't for me either, I just feel uneasy thinking about what and how. Something about doctors in this specialty just doesn't work out for me.

This might sound stupid, but my friend uses grandma's methods - she collects urine in a clean container and drops iodine in it. If the drop dissolves immediately, there's no pregnancy; if it stays on the surface for some time, it means there is. She told me a bunch of these methods, I don't remember them all.

Most importantly, if you want this pregnancy, don't get an ultrasound - it could trigger a miscarriage. And no pelvic exams before 9 weeks. For now, take folic acid and vitamin E. I had a missed miscarriage 5 years ago. Now I have two sons and I'm sitting here worrying about a delayed period. I took Duphaston as prescribed by my doctor. Wishing you luck 😊

Thanks for the answer,
Today I went to get the tests that are prescribed during pregnancy - blood work and all that. My doctor went on vacation, so they sent me to another one. She says my uterus is enlarged but that's not a sign of pregnancy, and sent me for an ultrasound. I only managed to get an ultrasound at Bogolyubovo, and so the result - I wanted to find out if I'm pregnant or not, we went to three doctors. Their answers: 1 - my doctor diagnosed pregnancy at 5-6 weeks, second doctor - hormone surge, at Bogolyubovo they said it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I have more questions now that I won't get answers to.

Girls, I'm 8 days late, the test is negative. I've been measuring my temperature for 4 days now, it's 37.2°C. On the day my period was supposed to start, my stomach and back hurt. I don't even know what to think. I can't see a doctor for another 2 weeks.

Oh, first off, please don't throw slippers at me. Let me start with the backstory. My husband started a new job at the end of September and has been working tirelessly. We live in France, and I speak the language poorly, but that's not even the main issue. We're in a small village-town where there are no buses or anything going to the bigger city. The only way out is by car. So, all this time, my husband has weekends off on Saturday and Sunday, but gynecologists and clinics don't work at all during that time. And on weekdays, he can't take me because he's working. Finally, we found a day next week... December 10th, to get my blood drawn for an hCG test. God grant everyone the patience I have. Not every woman could endure waiting this long, though my nerves are slowly fraying. My last period was way back on September 10th, and as of today, the delay is something like 50 days. I've taken 7 tests, roughly once a week, and every single one came back starkly negative. At first, I blamed it on a cycle irregularity—I had one in July where my cycle was 58 days—but now it's gone past 115 days, and that's not normal. So here's the question: do you think tests from the same batch and manufacturer could be lying so blatantly? They were all bought at the same pharmacy in Russia and brought to me by my mom... since tests in Europe are ridiculously expensive. The tests are Evitest (the ones with two in a blue box)... I can't think straight anymore; there's a week left until the test. As for indirect signs—maybe just my breasts, but I haven't noticed anything else or don't want to notice. If there is a baby, it's very much wanted.

Nasyanya, I also have an Evitest in the blue box that isn't showing anything. Though my delay is a bit shorter—about 10 days. But I've been feeling nauseous for almost 3 weeks now. My breasts are the same as before. I'm afraid it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I'm going to the doctor today.

Girls!! I'm in the same situation—5 days late (test is negative). But all the symptoms are like my first pregnancy. Let me also share how I got pregnant the first time: on the day of my period, my stomach hurt badly, I even took Ketanol, and then there was a little spotting, but nothing after that. Of course, the test showed it right away. But now everything is weird: in the middle of my cycle, exactly during ovulation, there was some spotting. The doctor prescribed vitamin E and told me to be extra careful with protection because vitamin E makes the egg go wild. So I'm thinking... I'm not nauseous, I'm eating salty stuff, I always wanted to sleep before my period—but not now, my boobs are a bit sore but not too much. And yes!!! Damn, I dreamed of fish again this month, and so much of it! Just like during my first pregnancy. But honestly, I wanted to get pregnant in about a year. I still haven't fully recovered from the first one—she's 4 years old but such a rare handful, and I carried her in my arms until she was 2. Just thinking about it makes me break out in a sweat.

And I also took the test for the first time after a 10-day delay. Maybe 5 days is too short.
Ksenia, I also went through a tough time... For two and a half months, I thought I was pregnant, and the ultrasound showed a pregnancy... Then bleeding started. I went for another ultrasound, and they said it was a cyst... You can't trust anyone.

Good afternoon, everyone! I have a question like this. I visited the doctor today, and he said I'm pregnant—just a short period, even though I took two tests before and both showed negative results. And today I decided to double-check—still negative. Can this happen?

I currently have a 4-day delay. It's not much, but my cycles are regular at 25-27 days. Now it's already day 31. I took Evitest pregnancy tests, the ones in the blue pack with two tests inside, on days 27, 28, 29, and 31 of my cycle. All were negative. I decided to look up information to see if this could happen. Turns out, it can. So Evitest isn't flawless.

Girls. I'm in the same situation. Let me give you the backstory. I signed up for IVF, got the injections, but it didn't reach the egg retrieval stage because the follicles didn't grow to the required size. We decided to postpone it to the next cycle. The doctor prescribed Duphaston for me to get my period on time. The day after what was supposedly ovulation (according to the calendar), I had sex. Now I'm already 7 days late. The tests are negative. I dreamed of fish and woke up with saliva. Today I feel a bit nauseous. Now I don't know what to do—get an ultrasound, an hCG test, or see a doctor.
Ladies! Share your experiences! I'm 24 years old! My husband and I decided it's time for a baby, and now I'm a week late. I've taken a bunch of tests, all negative. My temperature has been 37°C for three days, my stomach hurts occasionally, and my breasts aren't bothering me at all. What's going on? Has anyone else experienced this?

Many women often confuse a cyst with pregnancy because in many cases, it lasts until 12 weeks and then resolves. Quite frequently, this actually indicates the beginning of a pregnancy.

I also don't know what to think. I'm 39 years old, experiencing early menopause, so I'm taking Femoston 2/10. My periods have always been regular anyway, but with Femoston, they came almost to the minute. And now, there's been a 5-day delay, but the tests are negative. However, when my period was supposed to start, my stomach and back hurt, but now there are only occasional brief twinges. My doctor is experienced and trusted; last time, she said, "Don't get your hopes up for nothing, but don't stop believing in miracles." So here I am, trying my hardest not to give up hope. Is there anyone in a similar situation?

Today is the second day of the delay, the tests are negative, my lower abdomen hurts with a stabbing pain, I'm constantly nauseous, I keep wanting to drink and running to the bathroom frequently, alternating between diarrhea and constipation, I have excessive salivation even though I'm not hungry, I'm terribly irritable and everything annoys me, I feel nauseous especially in the evenings, I often have heartburn, and my lower back aches. I really want to become a mom, but I'm afraid I'm not pregnant; these are such nerve-wracking moments. About a week after the supposed ovulation, there were reddish discharge but very little.

Girls, please help me out! My period is two weeks late! All the tests came back negative. I had an ultrasound, but they couldn't really tell me anything. They told me to come back for another one in a week. I've had symptoms like nausea, I'm eating like a horse, I've gained a lot of weight, Stretch marks have appeared on my breasts, This has never happened before, I took a digital test, and it was negative too. My breasts have become firm and are starting to ache on the sides. Girls, I really want to hope for the best. What do you think this could be????? Pregnant or not? :( Please give me some advice! This has never happened to me before!

Hi everyone, I also have an 8-day delay. On the third day of the delay, I took a blood test for hCG, and it was negative too. On the sixth day, I went to the gynecologist, who said there's nothing, probably just a disruption. Tomorrow I'm going for an ultrasound. Since the day my period was due, I've been having abdominal and lower back pain, and when I want to eat, I feel nauseous. I measured my temperature a couple of times, and it was 36.8°C. And the most interesting thing is that spots resembling birthmarks have appeared around my nipples. Has anyone experienced this? We're really hoping for a pregnancy; we've been trying for a year. First, my prolactin was elevated, and I'm still taking Dostinex, then I had polyps removed at the CC. Now I'm kind of upset that it seems like another disruption, and I was so hopeful!
Good afternoon. Can you tell me what to do... I'm a mother of 2 children... my older daughter is 2 years old and the younger one is 4 months old... I'm breastfeeding both of them... my last normal period was in May, and then they started spotting like on the first day... now they're completely gone. I took a test this morning—it's negative... what could this be??

Good afternoon! I have a 4-day delay, feeling nauseous, occasional pulling sensations in my abdomen and lower back, drowsiness, and my basal temperature is holding at 37.2–37.4 without dropping. A year ago, I had a missed miscarriage. I took 4 tests—all from different brands—but they all came back negative :( Could this still be pregnancy?? I read that for many, the tests didn't show it, but they were pregnant. I wanted to check—in such a situation, did the pregnancy proceed normally? Was the baby born healthy?

Good afternoon! There's a 10-day delay. My stomach keeps pulling, like before my period. My breasts don't hurt and haven't gotten bigger (even though they're always too tender to touch before my period). I saw a doctor, and the ultrasound didn't show anything. She said my uterus isn't enlarged. I'm going to take an HCG test tomorrow. Hope dies last!!!

I agree with Louise. They mistook my pregnancy for a cyst. I had a missed period, and the tests showed nothing. I went for an ultrasound, and they said it was a cyst. A week later, I went to the gynecologist. He first looked with an abdominal ultrasound and saw nothing. Then he did a vaginal one and saw a 5-week embryo in the uterus. Girls, it's better not to have an ultrasound during pregnancy, at least until 12 weeks. It's better to get an hCG test.

Damn!!!!! Today the second test is negative((((( a week late. My lower back is killing me, my lower abdomen is sore, and my nipples are terribly painful, it hurts to touch them!!! For the third day, it feels like my uterus is just stiff as a board!!! Like it's in tone!!! This is the first stimulation after being diagnosed with PCOS. They're stimulating with Clomid. Girls, what do you think?! Damn, I really want this to be pregnancy!!! We've been trying for 8 years already.((((

Girls! I'm in a terrible situation too! For about two weeks now, I've been having a pulling sensation and swelling in my lower abdomen. My back hasn't been hurting like it usually does before my period, and there are no changes with my breasts. I'm so irritable that I'm yelling at my boss for no reason. I've already taken three tests, and they're all negative. What is this?

Hello everyone! I'll share my story—it might be helpful to someone. None of the tests showed anything, or rather, they showed just one line. I started taking tests after a 7-day delay. On the 8th day, I decided to get a blood test for hCG. Without pregnancy, hCG is less than 5. Mine was 6.98. I went to the doctor. She suspected an ectopic pregnancy because the hCG level was very low for a normal pregnancy. I went for blood tests every two days, and the hCG level doubled daily, which is typical for a normal pregnancy, but the location of the fetus was unclear. In the end, it turned out that my cycle had shifted just that month, and conception happened almost miraculously right before I expected my period. That's why the situation was confusing. Now I'm 10 weeks along, and the fetus is right where it should be! So, girls, go get a blood test—as my story shows, it can detect pregnancy even at the very, very early stages.

Hello, please help me, girls. I had my period, but it usually lasts 7 days, and this time it was only 4 days and very light. I was very nauseous, had a temperature of 37°C, and my breasts hurt. After 5 days, I took a test, and it was negative. Could the test be a false negative, please?
