Bleeding during sexual intercourse

Absolutely terrified. I'll definitely go to the doctor this week, but wanted to ask here first. Still about 9 days until my period, yesterday after sex I noticed blood on the condom and a little came out. Then it stopped. Today the same thing happened again. I was at the doctor recently, they didn't notice any issues, tests were normal. Everything seems fine now. What could this be?

This could be due to erosion. It seems your cervix has been injured.

Lika, sometimes it's better to chew than to speak. I had an erosion, it was cauterised, and everything was fine. I've never had this before, just regular intercourse with a steady partner. I'll see what the doctor says, I'm just worried it might be something serious.

1. Just to write some rubbish.

Most likely, it's nothing serious—probably a small blood vessel or a polyp in the cervix. They'll cauterize it, and everything will be fine.

Wow, "no big deal - a polyp"! I have a polyp myself, and I also experience a bit of bleeding in the second half of my cycle after intercourse. I've been afraid to go for a curettage for over six months now. And it's certainly not trivial. :( I don't even know what to do myself....

I think it's nothing serious that you started taking hormonal contraceptives without consulting a doctor.

No, I don't take contraceptives! We use condoms for protection. This is a first for me. :(

And why are you so afraid? Is it really that frightening?

I had the same with erosion. You need to get examined. And aggressive sex is not for you now.
Гость

Aggressive sex can lead to bleeding, especially in the presence of cysts.

An ultrasound was supposed to be done. What "noticed/didn't notice" means is unclear. But usually, besides the mentioned issue—painful periods, pain during intercourse—the girls correctly pointed out that it could be an ovarian cyst. Make sure to get an ultrasound done—about five days before your period and five days after your period.

It looks like erosion, although I have it and there has never been any bleeding...

And I had that happen this weekend. On top of that, my lower abdomen started hurting. I rushed to the doctor straight away. They examined me, did an ultrasound, and it turned out: that day was ovulation, and the follicle ruptured not into the outer environment as it should, but into the ovary, which left fluid in the ovary, hence the blood and abdominal pain. Of course, I was scared to go, but the doctor said it happens, especially after significant stress (which I had about a month ago), and there's no need to worry too much—just ensure pelvic rest for a while. She prescribed suppositories and tablets and told me not to fret. So just go see a doctor; it'll put your mind at ease. They didn't find any erosion or cysts, even though I was really scared to go, but I knew I had to.

In December, I had an ultrasound and everything was fine, all was well. But three days ago, for the first time in my life, this weird thing happened – there was blood from an unclear source, and it washed away and there was nothing more. I have one partner, and I have a coil fitted. Could it be erosion suddenly with the coil, or what could this be?

Yesterday, the condom broke and my partner came inside me; there are still 15 days until my period. Do you think there's a chance I could get pregnant?

He sent a text from work, "Irochka, I found a very interesting spanner, an unusual shape, get ready, darling." And this after yesterday's potato incident. I feel like running away from home.

I've also had a similar situation recently during intercourse! =((
Previously, there was no bleeding afterward, but now, for three days in a row, there's been blood... after that!
I'm scared to go to the doctor!! =((

I had that today, there was a bit of blood, and then it stopped; I have polycystic ovary syndrome.

Pain during sexual intercourse is a sign of vaginal candidiasis (thrush).

I've got the same issue... Recently, there was blood during intercourse, and for two days now, the discharge has been really minimal... Could it really be that the sex was too rough??.. What does anyone suggest?.. But I can't live without it, you know.....

...I had bleeding during intercourse, my period is still far off, and it continues after the act, though in smaller amounts. I didn't feel any pain. I don't want to go to the doctor; I can't stand doctors. Can you tell me what this might be? This is the first time this has happened!!!

After sexual intercourse, there was bleeding that lasted for an hour, with 13 days left until my period. I have cervical erosion, and after two days, light bleeding started, along with thrush. I thought I had cured the thrush, and suddenly my period began.

I'm going to the doctor in a week; does anyone know what this could be?

I had a dilation and curettage at the end of January due to a missed miscarriage. My period started on the 10th of March. After my period ended, I've been experiencing bleeding with every sexual intercourse. There is no pain. I didn't pay much attention to it initially, thinking my body just needed time to recover, but after reading posts on a forum, I got scared. I will see a doctor, but now I'm really frightened.

There was sexual intercourse and then bleeding started, followed by mild pain in the lower abdomen? Can you tell me what this could be? I don't want to go to the doctor, I'm scared.

I was also told it was just a fluid and nothing serious, but they didn't prescribe any medication for me. They advised abstaining from sex for three months, which I did, and it seemed to go away, but not for long... =(((( I'm so fed up. Please tell me what medications you took...

For the second time after intercourse, I've bled and it was painful. I've read messages on the website and got really scared. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because I'm only 17, but I've been sexually active for over a year (I'm scared of the doctor and, of course, my parents don't know). Please, advise me on what to do! I'm very frightened :((

I'm so fed up with all of this, the cyst and the polyp. Sometimes there's bleeding after sex, sometimes almost none. I might as well not have sex at all :'( I don't want to go under the knife, but it looks like I'll have to :'( When you know there might be blood, you feel so restrained. Girls, what do your men say when they see blood? How do they react?

I also experience some bleeding during sex, but it's very little and only happens in the days leading up to my period (about a week before). The doctor said it's an erosion, but they haven't recommended cauterising it yet as it's in the early stages. It's just that before menstruation, the uterus lowers, and if there's an erosion, it's easy to irritate and cause bleeding. So, it's probably nothing serious.

It's already the second time after intercourse that I've bled and it was painful. I've read messages on the site and got really scared. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because I'm only 17, but I've been sexually active for over a year (I'm scared of the doctor and, of course, my parents don't know). Please advise me on what to do.

Don't be afraid, go to the doctor bravely. If you don't want your parents to know, you don't have to tell them anything; that's how they handle things at the women's clinic. And there's no need to be scared of the doctor either; they've seen it all before...

Again, I'll repeat that it's most likely due to erosion (and that's not so scary) – many people have it; it just needs timely treatment.

So don't be afraid; the doctors will treat you with understanding. Seventeen is no longer a young age ;)

Speaking from my own experience, I first went to the gynaecologist for pretty much the same reason five years ago. I was only 15 back then O_o, and I was scared of everything too, but there was nothing terrible about it.. ))

So cast aside all doubts and fears! Good luck to you! ;)

Ladies, no reputable gynaecologist will consult with you over the phone or the internet. You need to rush to the hospital urgently. Two hours of your time (including queuing and travel) – and your doubts will vanish. This is all very serious, it's an intimate and the most crucial area for a woman, and here you are sitting on forums like fools.

I noticed a small streak of blood after sex. And during sex, there's pain—when he enters and throughout, it feels like chafing. This happened at the very beginning of my sex life, then everything was fine... I don't understand why the pain has returned.

I'll have to go to the doctor next week, but I'm scared.

I advise you, I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years, and recently after sex, I've been bleeding, and it's happened 3 times in a row. Before the last time we had sex, we hadn't done it for 2 months. Could it be because of that? I don't want to go to the doctor, I'm only 17 after all....

Perhaps you have nothing to do with it. Maybe something went wrong with the man?

I had a situation where bleeding occurred after intercourse. I rushed to the doctors - had an examination and an ultrasound, and the diagnosis was that I was healthy (with two doctors confirming this). They explained it by saying that if it's around the middle of the cycle when ovulation occurs, such a thing can happen. They didn't prescribe anything, just shrugged it off and that was it.

Good afternoon. At the age of 24, I lost my virginity. My partner and I are not experienced in sex. Our sexual activity is not regular; we have sex once a week, or maybe once a month. The first time, there was no blood. When we had sex again after some time, there was a little bit of blood. I was advised to use chamomile steam baths, which I did for a week. After that, there was no blood. Also, my partner did not fully enter me initially. Then, after some time, when we started having sex again, he entered me completely, and it was painful, and I bled.

My partner told me that he felt as if he was hitting something and then went further. I don't know if this could indicate that we haven't managed to tear the hymen, or if it might be some other issue.

Please advise. Thank you very much in advance.

Good afternoon! I've heard a story where a girl was a virgin, but after her first sexual intercourse, there was no blood. What does that mean? And then, a few hours later, she got her period. Is that bad or good?

I also have an unclear issue: I have a regular sexual partner, and we've never had any problems. Recently, I met a new guy, and during intercourse, there was bleeding the first and second time. Naturally, his first question was, "Is everything okay with your health?" After such words, I don't even feel like doing anything, let alone having sex! Damn, what was that all about?
