Such a problem. My mom has cystitis, she won't go to the doctor, she doesn't have time. She's not really treating it with anything, can't force her. I can't persuade her to go to an appointment. At least advise me, what medications should she take?
If it's not going away, it means it's not acute. You still need to go; self-treatment will only lead to bladder stones. You can take some pills, like Cystone or Canephron, for example.

From plant-based options, I can also recommend Phytolysin paste,
but generally, it's better to take the antibiotics prescribed by a doctor.
Although there was a time when I couldn't reach a doctor—Furadonin helped.
But it's better and more correct to see a doctor!
Your mother certainly doesn't want chronic cystitis, does she?
Ciston is a natural remedy; it should be taken for a month—2 tablets in the morning and 2 in the evening. It's best to take the antibiotic Monural, which is taken just once and is relatively safe during pregnancy.

When I have a flare-up, I pour hot water (almost boiling) into a jar and sit on it (carefully to avoid burning the mucous membrane), and voilà—it passes within a few minutes, and no need to drink, as Tatiana already mentioned... I also took Cystenol (I think that's what it's called, 5–7 drops on sugar, and during a flare-up, a shock dose of 20 drops).

I don't know how much Monural I drank—only my stomach hurt and nothing improved. It kills all the flora. I don't know a single urologist who is thrilled with it. Last time, I was prescribed Norfloxacin for 7 days and Canephron, and I drank plenty of fluids. By the third day, everything was gone, but I completed the course as prescribed. My inflammation developed due to salts. But in any case, it's important to carefully read the indications and contraindications for the pills.

For those suffering from cystitis, I recommend reading one article. It outlines several treatment options for cystitis. You can treat it comprehensively, which is much more effective. Personally, Phytolysin helped me get rid of chronic cystitis! Here's the article: http://chicken-life.ru/blog/medicine/510.html

After every sexual intercourse, I would suffer from a painful bout of cystitis. I tried countless remedies, but only one thing helped: METHYLURACIL. These are rectal suppositories, but I used them vaginally. Their composition quickly heals tissues injured during intercourse and reduces inflammation. I used them up to three times a day, especially right after intercourse. Since I had almost given up hope and viewed sex as torture, the disappearance of cystitis felt like a miracle to me! I even forgot about it. I felt sorry for the women (when I read forums) who complained about this issue. Many simply despaired and cried out for help. That’s why I decided to write this. Another recommendation: to keep your immune system, organs, and body tissues strong, take high-quality vitamin and mineral supplements and dietary supplements from reputable manufacturers in courses. Personally, I like the company NSP. The price is affordable, and the quality is top-notch. Most importantly, it’s a completely natural product. This is especially important for our children. Wishing you health and joy.

Hi everyone! I've had cystitis for a month now and have been undergoing treatment prescribed by a doctor. While I'm being treated, it doesn't bother me, but as soon as I finish the treatment, everything starts all over again. I don't know what to do anymore.

I suffered with this problem for two years; medications helped but not for long. If I caught a slight cold or walked on a cold floor, it would all come back—once it got so bad I even had to call an ambulance because I was peeing blood. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, but I found a solution: I drank aloe vera nectar from Forever Living Products for four months, and now nothing bothers me. I haven't drunk it for six months already. I hope my advice helps you. Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery ;))

Girls, I've faced this problem more than once(( I was treated with Monural a couple of times, it helped me, but the relapse didn't take long to come cm( I went to the seaside!!!! and there, for the third time, cystitis started, no rest at all( From my own experience, I can say that Monural helps, but it doesn't completely kill the infection. The most common issue for most girls dealing with this is incomplete treatment (and I'm no exception), and no one wants chronic cystitis. I took a full course of Urolesan drops, they're made from various herbs, so they're gentle, and they can even be used for prevention (just don't stop, but finish the course!!!), and I took a course of Biseptol (about 7-10 days) to kill the infection. Knock on wood, it helped me.

Girls, I get cystitis several times a year. Monural really helps. But it's a very radical method—it also kills beneficial lactobacilli.
I found this solution: buy kidney tea from the pharmacy, cranberries (fresh, frozen, or jam), and honey.
I drink kidney tea three times a day with 2-3 teaspoons of cranberry (jam) and a spoonful of honey. And in between, I drink about three more glasses of warm water with cranberries and honey.
You'll feel better literally within an hour.

I wanted to share my story.
The first symptoms appeared about 8 years ago. Over these years, I tried everything—I saw numerous doctors, therapists, gynecologists, homeopaths, tried acupuncture, and nothing helped. Well, it helped while the treatment lasted, but then all the symptoms returned. Many times, I was prescribed antibiotics—same effect. While I was taking the pills, nothing hurt, but as soon as I stopped, everything started again. Tests showed everything was normal, no infection. And after that, doctors just threw up their hands and advised me not to sit on cold surfaces. But nothing went away. I suffered almost every day. I had gotten used to the idea that I couldn't eat spicy or salty foods, couldn't drink alcohol, because after all that, cystitis would start. And of course, I always wore wool socks, no matter the season. And just a couple of months ago, I changed my therapist again. When I told her "my whole life story," she said that sometimes this happens due to a lack of mobility—in short, I should try exercising. At first, I didn't take her words seriously, thought it was just talk to say something. But nevertheless, I decided to listen, as besides everything else, I wanted to get in shape and lose weight for the summer. At first, I exercised twice a week, then three times, and now I try to work out 4-5 times a week for about 45 minutes to an hour a day. I'm really afraid to jinx it, but for the last two months, the pain related to cystitis has stopped tormenting me! Probably, if someone had told me such a story, I wouldn't have believed it, because I never imagined how interconnected everything in the body is and didn't think it was possible to get rid of this nightmare so simply.
I really wanted to share this, in case these tips help someone—those who, like me, had given up hope of getting rid of these terrible sensations and those who have lost faith in doctors' help...
I recently bought Monurel for my mom; it's plant-based with cranberry and vitamin C in its composition, and it's just the thing for prevention. You only need to take one capsule at night. It helped my mom, so maybe it'll help yours too—it won't do any harm.

And I've been suffering from this sorrow since I was 14. It's already at a chronic stage. Furagin and Furadonin don't help at all, Urolesan makes me terribly nauseous—the only thing that always worked like a charm was Biseptol, two pills and I'm fine. But a year ago, I developed an allergy to Biseptol—first a rash, though I didn't know what caused it, and then terrible swelling all over my face. So for a year now, I haven't been treating it with anything. Since early autumn, I've been wearing two pairs of socks, one of them wool, and warm shoes. It hardly bothers me. At the first sign, I use a warm heating pad between my legs and drink urological teas. But I feel like I haven't fully recovered. And the doctors seem incompetent—they recommend the same medications even though I tell them they won't help.

The doctor told me that cystitis, unfortunately!, cannot be cured. An ultrasound of the bladder won't reveal anything significant unless it's a pathology. Cystitis should be treated by two doctors—a urologist and a gynecologist—it's a borderline condition. Look for the cause in gynecology.

Hello! I want to share my story of dealing with cystitis! It all started in January 2009 when I first experienced all the "delights" of this condition—running to the bathroom for just a drop and even with blood. I rushed to the pharmacy since it started closer to the end of my workday, and I couldn't have endured waiting to see a doctor! At the pharmacy, they recommended taking Furagin and Levomycetin. I took them, though I don't remember exactly how much or for how long, and I held a warm water bottle between my legs, and it seemed to go away. Naturally, I didn't see a doctor until the next time it happened. Eventually, I went to a gynecologist. I took a general urine test—nothing showed up—and they took a general swab—also nothing. The doctor prescribed Canephron for a month. I took it, and once again, I was healthy! In the end, I continued to suppress it with Furagin and Levomycetin, and sometimes I brewed lingonberry leaf tea bags instead of regular tea and drank cranberry juice—again, it helped temporarily.

In the end, after reading forums, I found out that I actually needed to see a urologist, even though I always thought that was a doctor for men, but first, I needed to undergo a more thorough gynecological check-up, specifically for hidden infections. I went to a private clinic, INVITRO. They performed an ultrasound of my uterus, examined me on the chair, and took a swab for hidden infections (10 types). They only found Ureaplasma parvum. With these results, I went back to the gynecologist, who prescribed a 20-day course of strong antibiotics for both me and my husband (Klabax for 10 days, Vilprafen for 10 days, all while using Betadine suppositories vaginally and Viferon rectally, plus Bifidumbacterin and Linex for the flora, and Cycloferon injections for 10 days after the antibiotic treatment). We also abstained from sex all these days because the doctor scared me by saying that if I got pregnant during this treatment, I'd have to have an abortion immediately. I did everything as instructed, and so did my husband. By the end of the treatment, my immune system was severely compromised because I caught a terrible cold. I spent the entire May holidays bedridden, and not even a single Coldrex helped—HORRIBLE! In the end, I didn't even manage to finish all the medication (just so you know, I spent 12,000 rubles on this, not counting previous treatments), and AGAIN, CYSTITIS!!!

I was desperate, but I finally went to the urologist! Without any tests, she prescribed Uro-Vaxom for a month and even sent me to a specific pharmacy in our city, which I didn't like. But since there's only one urologist in the whole town, I decided to wait it out and first get the tests done. She referred me for a urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity test. I did it, and they found Escherichia coli at 10^3, sensitive to ampicillin, ceftriaxone, and imipenem (if I deciphered the doctor's handwriting correctly, of course). So, with these results, I went back to the doctor, and she again just told me to take Uro-Vaxom for a month, saying my body would handle it on its own. Well, I took it, and so what? Three days later, cystitis is back again!

At home, I suppressed it the first time with Furagin, herbs, and Urolesan on a sugar cube, but when it happened again, I went back to the urologist. I took the culture and sensitivity test again, and again Escherichia coli was already 10^5 and sensitive to ampicillin, cefepime, cefixime, cefaclor, imipenem, etc.—already more options. I also had a blood test for cytomegalovirus—it wasn't found (I had already taken it at INVITRO before) and it wasn't there then either. Additionally, on my own without the urologist's referral, I went back to INVITRO and had an ultrasound of my kidneys, bladder, and ureters—everything was clear, as she told me it doesn't go higher up, only urethral inflammation and that's it. I went to the urologist with all the test results (by the way, I forgot to mention, before taking the tests the second time, she also prescribed Furamag; I took it for 10 days, it helped exactly for that period, but from the next day, meaning starting today, everything is back again).

Thanks for the interesting link.. I read the article, it's very well-written, and there are many comments on the article, even grateful patients writing reviews. I found the website of this German doctor, whom the Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist interviewed. Her website is www.homeopat.at, and I booked an appointment. We'll see what happens. A month of treatment there costs 13,500. I think that, considering how much I'm running around to doctors here, it would end up costing more, especially if you factor in expensive medications. And with T. Vollner, you can consult via Skype and then buy the medicine in your own city at a special pharmacy for 100 rubles. So I think this is an option. Irina, thank you for the great link.
Drink dill seed infusion, and also warm the lower abdomen and feet once a day.

I only took this Ceforal for 7 days instead of 10 because I found out I was pregnant! Now I'm just praying that everything will be okay. By the way, after taking this Ceforal, I had the worst diarrhea. Maybe it's my own fault because I didn't take any probiotics like Linex or Bifidum, and the doctor didn't mention it either—just prescribed Ceforal and that's it. It's a very tricky antibiotic, and the most common side effect is diarrhea... Now I'm only relying on the Almighty!

I've been suffering from cystitis for a long time. Furagin used to help, but it causes dependency. My doctor advised me to take 5-NOK, 2 tablets 4 times a day for 5 days, along with Canephron (even though nitroxoline didn't help before). It gave me relief for about a year and a half, but I was told the course should be repeated twice a year. After that, everything came back. I can take Phytolysin paste, which relieves all symptoms immediately, but not for long. I started drinking cranberry juice, and it got better, but you have to drink it every day without stopping, especially at night. I drink about half a liter within an hour and take a new cranberry-based medication called Monurel. On the 10th day, signs of cystitis started again—maybe it's a flare-up, I don't know—but after drinking a liter of cranberry juice, it subsided in 15 minutes. Kataria also helps quite well. Personally, I take a course of Monurel and cranberry juice, plus 5-NOK and Urolesan or Canephron, and that's how I manage. Good luck and health to everyone.

I had cystitis for two years, scoured the entire internet, treated myself with Urolesan, Canephron, Furadonin, took antibiotics—it partially helped, but then it all started again until I went to the doctor. He prescribed Uroholum and told me to drink as much fluid as possible (at least 2 liters a day). Within a day, I was shocked—no more burning sensation, and I stopped being afraid to go to the bathroom. It's been a year now.

Dear women, girls, ladies. I've decided to write about how I managed to cure this problem, in case it might suit and help someone. I had chronic cystitis for many years and did everything necessary. I took tests, swabs, visited therapists and urologists, but nothing helped. Since I'm a stubborn woman, I tried many things—pills, teas, drops—but they provided little relief. One day, a friend suggested an option that helped me, without pills. I want to draw your attention to the fact that this is bio-treatment, and if you are taking pills during this period, either finish them and wait a couple of weeks or take a break from them. This applies to any kind of medication. Chemical and bio-treatments are not compatible. And another important point: try to be attentive to any kind of novelty. No matter what anyone says, your body is different and has its own issues, so be careful and observe its reaction to something new.
Now for the recipe. I want to warn you that the treatment will take 3 months, but it cures even chronic cystitis. Simply take a teaspoon of cinnamon and pour 300 ml of boiling water over it, place it on very low heat so it doesn't boil, and simmer for 30 minutes (I brew it in a milk pot or a cezve), cover it, and let it steep. You can brew it in the evening for the next day. Divide this decoction into two doses. Take it twice a day, in the morning and evening, adding warm water to fill a full glass and with a small amount of honey (you can have it on the side or in the tea. A third of a teaspoon is enough, but the dose of honey is individual). The brewed tea will turn out a very beautiful cinnamon color and have a slightly jelly-like consistency. Drink it on an empty stomach. This means half an hour before a meal or an hour after. Take it for 3 months. And one more thing. The cinnamon must be of good quality. Don't buy it loose at the market, as it might be cassia, which isn't suitable. Buy it in stores from companies that specialize in spices. Afterward, take a break for a month and reinforce the results in the same way.

I also had cystitis, antibiotics only temporarily suppress it. I got rid of cystitis by boosting my immune system. I also drank cranberry juice by the glass, and it had to be natural. I want to share my methods. I've had cystitis many times, and doctors prescribed all sorts of things I can't even remember; I only recall the last one was 5-NOK, and even that I had to take for about a month, with relief coming very slowly. But once I shared my problem with my friend, who also used to suffer from this ailment frequently, she advised me to take four streptocide tablets at night (they used to be large in size, but now they make them smaller) and promised that by morning the problem would be gone. And indeed, it helped me—all the symptoms disappeared by the second day. Whenever I have a new partner, I always get cystitis a day or two after sex; the gynecologist explained that it's due to infrequent encounters and my body reacting this way to unfamiliar microflora. Now, as soon as I feel the first symptoms, I immediately take streptocide. Only once did I have to repeat it the next day because I felt it hadn't completely gone away, but usually, it works the first time. And there's no need to take pills for a month. I'll be glad if this helps someone else too.

I recommend seeing a gynecologist and, at the same time, a urologist—only these specialists can help you. You also need to maintain personal hygiene. If you're feeling very unwell and can't visit a doctor—I used Cystone—a course of it. Be sure to take Fluconazole for two consecutive days—it quickly relieves pain (gynecologist's advice). Vaginal tablets—Terzhinan (gynecologist's recommendation)—within an hour, all symptoms disappear. Even though I have chronic cystitis. If blood appears in your urine—call an ambulance. Many bacteria come from female organs. Also, you should get a kidney ultrasound to rule out stones. Wishing everyone good health.

Girls, has anyone tried Uroprofit? My doctor prescribed it for me as part of a combination therapy, but I started taking it earlier than the other medications because I was waiting for test results. And it relieved all my symptoms, as if there was never anything wrong. I now use it occasionally for prevention. It's natural, so there's nothing to worry about.
