Who here has or had polyps in their gallbladder?

I read online that they need to be removed to prevent turning into malignant tumors, but if they don't bother you—just monitor them. But nobody writes about how they can actually bother you. My pancreas bothers me, and I have heartburn and stomach issues. All my blood tests are normal. A year ago, an ultrasound showed a 2mm polyp; today I went again—it grew by 1mm. In June, I was really sick, had no energy, low temperature, even water made my stomach rumble, burning in the epigastric area, and I lost a lot of weight. The acute symptoms passed, but my weight kept dropping, and I still can't gain it back. My doctor doesn't know what's wrong with me. Usually, weight drops from diarrhea, but I don't have diarrhea. Girls, please write your symptoms, maybe I can at least figure out what's causing what, since my doctor doesn't know. Thanks

I have a polyp with no symptoms at all; it was found during an ultrasound, and I'm not doing anything about it.

Polyps too, for a long time now. I'm not doing anything about it. I take Allochol and Ursulac to prevent bile retention. When it gets really painful, I take No-Spa or ibuprofen. The doctor says I could have my gallbladder removed, but I'm not ready for that because I haven't had another child yet, and secondly, I have diabetes and my pancreas isn't functioning, so if I don't have a gallbladder either...

Hmm... I also have little polyps... for a long time already... what should I do???

Girls, didn't your doctors tell you that there's a high probability of it turning into malignant tumors?

Erica, what are your symptoms? I can't understand which symptoms are from the polyp and which are from the pancreas; I've had gastritis for a long time.

I've had polyps for two years now. This year, according to the scans, they told me they've detached. Last year, I was at the institute, where the lead surgeon assured me that after the surgery, 99% of these are just simple growths.

I have had a 10 mm polyp for two years now, I'm taking Ursofalk, but it's not helping. I have severe pain under my ribs in the mornings and feel nauseous. What do you suggest?

Under the ribs - the pancreas.

Polyps are removed along with the gallbladder if they rapidly increase in size. If no significant growth is observed, nothing is done. There are no symptoms indicating the presence of polyps.

My child is 7 years old. A polyp was discovered when they were 6 years old - 7 mm. We've tried various treatments - nothing helps. I'm currently afraid to proceed with surgery due to existing neurological issues, and gallbladder removal requires strong anesthesia. They occasionally experience stomach pain and vomiting. We were advised to go to Truskavets.

If in most cases these are growths, could the parasitic theory actually be valid, meaning these growths consist of invasions?

They were discovered about 10 years ago during an ultrasound. I had no symptoms. There was also a suggestion that it might be thickened bile. I didn't go for follow-up appointments because nothing was bothering me.

Although I was also shocked by such a diagnosis.

I discovered polyps at 24, 1-2 mm in size, and by 37 they had grown to 1-10 mm (there are many of them). In the fall, I treated Helicobacter... after 10 IVs of Heptamerz, diet, swimming pool, sauna... it seems like I've put on rose-colored glasses, I'm living! The doctor said the bile ducts might need to be dilated, but I hope it won't be necessary...

Hello. My name is Katia. I have read your complaints, and I must say they are very similar to mine. They found a 5mm polyp in my gallbladder, and the condition is exactly the same. Everyone advises removing the gallbladder.

continuing: I don't know what to say! I had an ultrasound and was told that the polyps have shrunk, the largest one from 10 mm to 7 mm, and the others have reduced to 1-2 mm. I recall my therapist prescribed Levofloxacin, after which moderate fatty liver infiltration appeared. Then, look at the message from 02/06/10. Currently, after treatment for Helicobacter and a course of Hepamerz, I feel better, but something is bothering my right side near the kidney... probably a kidney cyst...?

Tanya, get a blood test for parasites... only blood will give a clear answer! And maybe you and your doctor will figure out where to go for treatment next! Advice: Brew tea with tansy and drink 100g before bed...

Today I went for an ultrasound... they found a polyp - 7 mm... they say if it grows to 1 cm, it needs to be removed....

How fast does it grow??... Can it be treated with folk medicine.... but that should be discussed with specialists...

Yesterday I had an ultrasound... they found two polyps, 3.5 mm and 4 mm... They said to monitor them... Have another ultrasound in a month, and then in three months... I'm in PANIC!!!!!!!!!!

I also have polyps, I've been observing them for about 3 years now, and they don't seem to be growing much, but the panic is still there, Inna. There are two of them, 4.6 mm and 7.6 mm. I just don't know what to do—maybe remove them and not live in fear?

Tanya, I've had the same thing all summer. They found a 7mm polyp and H. pylori. I treated the infection with antibiotics, and the nighttime pain and heartburn are gone, but the issue with my weight and the pain in my right side remains the same. Most likely, I'll have surgery, and I'm not against it. The percentage of it being a malignant tumor is too high.

Your heartburn and stomach issues could be due to an ulcer. Get tested for H. pylori.

They don't joke about this; it requires either surgery or observation... one of the two, but medicine only says "surgery"... I wish it would just go away on its own..) but who knows, I'm hoping for the best.

I also had gallbladder polyps found purely by chance during an ultrasound. The surgeon suggested surgery, and it was indeed scheduled. I decided to wait a bit (in agreement with the doctor) and try hirudotherapy. I have an ultrasound from before the hirudotherapy—I'll do one after and see the progress. I don't have a medical education, but I apply the leeches myself. I took courses in hirudotherapy—I can't practice (no medical degree), but I do it for myself.

I found myself alone with my polyps; doctors "don't need" this. The therapist sends me to the surgeon, and the surgeon has only one solution—to cut.

I had high cholesterol, and within a couple of weeks, I lowered it by 1.5 units on my own. The doctor yelled at me, explaining that "IT DOESN'T HAPPEN LIKE THAT." I showed her the test results, and she insisted, "IT DOESN'T HAPPEN." I got tested for parasites—the result was negative.

Overall, I think if polyps aren't removed (after all, the statistics show up to 30% can become cancerous), it's essential to do cancer tests.

There's no need to panic, but letting things slide is dangerous.

I also had polyps discovered quite by accident during an ultrasound, definitely five of them, multiple ones, about 0.3 mm each and one 0.8 mm. There weren't really any symptoms; I sometimes felt dryness in my mouth (my sugar levels are normal, and so is my pancreas) and pain in the right upper abdomen, but no pronounced symptoms like that. A blood test showed somewhat high cholesterol, 5.8 units, which was also a bit high about 10 years ago. They told me to come back in six months for a follow-up ultrasound. But since I live in Ireland and had the ultrasound done in Kyiv, I went to my doctor here with the results. On Thursday, October 27th, I have another ultrasound scheduled, and I'm terrified... I'll update after the ultrasound. They also told me during the ultrasound that I have hemangiomas in my liver, four of them, each 1.5 cm, and the liver is 4.5 cm. They took blood for tumor markers, and the result was negative. Also, according to the ultrasound, the liver function was unchanged, not enlarged... In general, I'm preparing for the worst. And one more thing, they told me not to eat for 8 hours before the ultrasound.

I also have a polyp in my gallbladder. I've been under observation for two and a half years now. The surgeon insists on surgery without even looking at the ultrasound results. In the spring, I was treated by a urologist with antibiotics for E. coli. I took various medications as prescribed by the doctor for a whole month. Then, I found a folk remedy online that supposedly removes all polyps from the body. I checked it out—it seemed harmless enough. So, I'm drinking it and will check with an ultrasound in three months. I don't know if it's because of the antibiotics or the homemade medicine, but it's shrinking. Although, over the summer, I also lost 2 kg. I eat little and work a lot. In May, the polyp was 5x5 mm, and in September, it was 4.6x4.2 mm. It's a small decrease, but it's shrinking. Still, the surgeon keeps saying that only surgery will help, that nothing else works. I want to continue drinking my homemade medicine and see what happens. Sometimes, I still feel not pain but some discomfort under my right rib, and occasionally even in my back at the same spot. I haven't felt any bitterness in my mouth since I started drinking the homemade medicine, though I used to sometimes before.

I went for an ultrasound on Thursday, and honestly, by the time I got to the ultrasound, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. So, the ultrasound technician examined me and said that the polyps haven't grown in 6 months and that I probably should have come after a year, since 6 months isn't really a significant period. She said that gallbladder cancer is very, very rare; in her 18 years of practice, she's only come across one man with gallbladder cancer, and even then, she said she thought it was metastases from somewhere else to the gallbladder. She also mentioned that I have multiple polyps, which is a good sign, and said that single polyps are the ones that pose a danger. For now, I've been told to have check-ups once a year for 5 years, and then, if there's no change in the situation, every few years. Here, they only remove polyps when they start growing. That's all for now. I'm grateful to God that these aren't malignant growths.

Dasha, you don't need to go that far! Why are you already giving up on yourself? I have polyps too, and not just one, and only God knows how many I had there before they were discovered. Don't self-medicate; people can write anything here, but you haven't seen the person in person... you haven't been with them at the doctor's and seen the polyps shrink from some miracle drug. Polyps are treated only through surgery, and there's no other way! And who told you that women who haven't given birth can't have gallbladder surgery??? What does the gallbladder have to do with the female reproductive system? People live perfectly well without a gallbladder and give birth to more than one child. The gallbladder is a sac where bile produced by the liver collects, which then goes into the small intestine; when the gallbladder is removed, all the bile simply goes directly into the duodenum instead, that's all. So stop scaring yourself; if the doctors say to remove it, then remove it and don't self-medicate, as it can lead to dire consequences.

Dasha, I know several people who had their gallbladder removed and then gave birth to two children, so I don't think there's any need to worry about that. As for me, I just decided to see what would happen if I drank it—I mentioned I don't know why it's getting smaller, but it's based on the same ultrasound results. No doctors are interested in monitoring this, only we are. And the decision is ours alone. Surgeons, without even looking at the results, immediately send you for surgery. Here's what I found online: "Treatment for polyps in any organ. Take 7 boiled egg yolks, 6 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds (not roasted), dried and ground into flour. Mix everything, adding 0.5 liters of vegetable oil. Heat in a water bath for 20 minutes. Store in the refrigerator. Take 1 teaspoon in the morning for 5 days. Take a 5-day break and then another 5 days of intake. Continue until all the medicine is used up. Polyps from all over the body will come out in the form of bits of ichor, mucus, etc. Also, within 2-3 months, various spots and moles will disappear from the skin's surface." It lasted me half a year. I had an ultrasound every 3 months. Now I've only made half of it to use it fresher. As for the spots and moles, I haven't noticed anything yet. Maybe it's just too soon.

I also think you need to decide based on this:
Indications for surgical treatment of patients with an ultrasound diagnosis of "gallbladder polyp" (developed based on a ***-analysis of global literature [22, 23] and our own data):

1. Combination with gallstones.
2. Presence of clinical manifestations of the disease that worsen quality of life, with no effect from conservative therapy.
3. Presence of more than 2 polyps.
4. Polyp size exceeds 10 mm.
5. Presence of 1-2 polyps sized 5-9 mm on a broad base with medium echogenicity.
6. Polyp stalk wider than 3 mm (regardless of polyp echogenicity).
http://forum.littleone.ru/archive/index.php/t-379.html. This is my personal take, but you decide for yourself.

I should add that I take the "medicine" on an empty stomach in the morning and have breakfast 15-30 minutes later. Give it a try; in any case, you need to be monitored for some time.

I cured myself. I followed a strict diet for 1.5 years and drank celandine tea while also using it for enemas.

To prepare: pour 1 tablespoon of dried, crushed celandine herb into a thermos with a cup of boiling water, steep for 15-30 minutes, strain, and drink 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day 20-30 minutes before meals. The treatment course lasts a month, and after a 10-day break, it can be repeated.

First course: 2 liters of warm boiled water + 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed celandine juice or 1 tablespoon of celandine infusion (prepared as in the first recipe), administer the enema at night. After 15 enemas, take a 15-day break. Second course: 2 liters of warm water + 1 tablespoon of celandine juice or 3 tablespoons of celandine herb infusion. Course: 15 enemas, followed by a 15-day break. Third course: 2 liters of warm water + 2 tablespoons of celandine juice or 4 tablespoons of celandine herb infusion. Course: 15 enemas, then a 15-day break.

Olga, are the yolks from chicken or quail eggs? Unfortunately, gallbladder removal is not such a harmless thing, and there are many, many problems after it. For example, lipid metabolism is disrupted, and if there were any issues with the gastrointestinal tract before the surgery, they worsen. Moreover, the surgery itself is not the simplest, and unfortunately, in our case, further "examination" of the removed gallbladder is typically not performed.

Tanechka, go see the surgeons. If they suggest surgery—agree. With this diagnosis, you can't take any chances! The gallbladder definitely needs to be removed; it's no longer functioning properly anyway. I had my gallbladder removed in 2004 due to gallstone disease, and I don't regret it. I live a normal life and don't even feel like it's missing. Of course, at first, you'll need to follow a certain diet, but later you can eat everything within reasonable limits. Your body will tell you what you can eat. True, my case wasn't advanced, so I handled the surgery well. Surgeries are minimally invasive now, so you can't even see the puncture marks anymore. That's my advice, but the decision is yours! Good luck!

On March 14th, I'm having my gallbladder removed; I've had gallstones for about five years. The pain is a dull ache in my right upper abdomen. I don't think there's any alternative to surgery. I know people who've had the operation and are living normal lives. I trust our medical system.

The first polyp was found over 10 years ago accidentally during an ultrasound. I was young back then and didn't dwell on it, just forgot about it. I went on with my life, got married, had a child. The pregnancy was difficult, and chronic issues started surfacing. They began sending me for ultrasounds, and that's when, after 10 years, they "found" it again. Well, by then I was a serious lady and started going to doctors. Ultrasound monitoring and so on. It would be 8mm, then 6mm. I decided to have my gallbladder removed. I made the decision myself, found a paid doctor. Meanwhile, I also went for kidney stone removal surgery—it didn't seem to bother me, but doctors said it was dangerous and necessary... So after the surgery, I went to check on my kidney, and by the way, it turned out the surgery isn't a panacea—they removed the stone, but as a result, cysts grew in my kidney, and not just one... Now I'm monitoring my kidney too... So I came to check my kidney and mentioned the polyp to the doctor, saying I wanted to remove it. And there, the doctors are both surgeons and do ultrasounds themselves, so he immediately said, "Let me take a look... If I were you, I wouldn't rush. It's very hard to diagnose a true polyp by ultrasound, and there are many similar images." Three years have passed since then. Today I went for an ultrasound... That 10-year-old polyp, which is now 13 years old, is still the same... And they said new ones have appeared nearby... So, I guess I'll wait a bit and go to another ultrasound specialist to see what they find interesting...

I also had polyps found in my gallbladder, five in number, measuring 1.5-1.8 mm. I haven't given birth, and I'm 31 years old. I'm drinking a celandine decoction as prescribed and taking two capsules of bear bile with food at night.
