What to bring to …

What to bring to kindergarten for a birthday?

My daughter is having a birthday, what should I bring to the group?
For treats I'm thinking about gummy slices + marshmallows + juice.
But what should I buy for everyone as a souvenir/gift? Puzzles/balls have already been done by others...
There are quite a few kids in the group, need 25 gifts... group is 4-5 years old... budget up to 100 rubles... what kind of small items can I buy? #souvenirs #kids

Hmm, and why should they give out free gifts? They haven't earned them.

But can we bring food to the garden? We brought puzzles.

Well, others give gifts, they give gifts to my daughter too... it's kind of awkward...

Treats should be individually packaged.
No gift is needed, or if you insist on buying one, purchase a single, group-appropriate gift that multiple children can play with together.

Store-bought, packaged food with expiration dates is allowed.
Well, we literally brought puzzles for the morning celebration in early March :) and last year we bought puzzles too... have to look for something else

Up to 100 rubles for 25 children? So 4 rubles per gift? Or up to 100 rubles per gift? That would be 2500, which doesn't seem cheap anymore.

Check with the teacher about the treats, in case any of the children have allergies to something—it would be a shame for them to miss out.

Well, so what? For 100 rubles you can only buy junk that will be thrown in the trash by evening. I would never spend money on that kind of thing on principle.

Of course 100 rubles per gift. Obviously you can't find anything cheaper, and anything more expensive would be too costly.

Well they're gifts for us :) The kids are really happy. They genuinely have a celebration on days like these. Why not, if even junk brings joy? I didn't buy it myself, so I don't mind throwing it away :)

Thanks, I was thinking along those lines too. I'll check out the boomerangs, haven't had that option yet :)

We all know that, the treats are standard, without chocolate and tangerines, so Kinder, unfortunately, doesn't work... although it would've been convenient

Alas, there are children with chocolate allergies, even though that would have been the simplest option...

Ugh, chemical-laden sweets, probably from Fix Price or some "everything for 10" store. Don't you feel sorry for the children?

And as for small items - soap bubbles, soft toys, small wooden toys for coloring, notepads, pens or markers for drawing, keychains, hair clips, hair ties, cups, mugs, small building sets, children's musical instruments, party blowers, glow-in-the-dark bracelets, animal figurines - sold in sets, carnival glasses, any small toys.

No. At Spar, natural sugar-coated gummies like from our childhood, marshmallows are also considered healthy sweets. If we decide on cookies, I'll only buy children's ones. Juice only Fruto Nyanya too. All kids eat this regularly at home :) I'm not offering cola with chips :)

Thanks for the reasonable advice, I'll check out the small stuff in Detsky Mir for something

Well, that's how it's done in kindergarten. I remember we used to give everyone candy/Kinder eggs in school too...

Check out Leonardo's again; they have inexpensive wooden toys for self-painting, which I think the kids would really enjoy.

Not 'gave' but 'treated'. Understand the difference? Your principles and morals have been taken to absurdity, devalued. Love and empathy have been practically completely removed from life. No matter how many gifts you shower children with, they won't become kinder, and one fine day they'll get rid of you simply because it's expedient and economical to do so.

Well, there used to be such opportunities, now there are different ones. If everyone treats and gives something, then you don't want to stand out like a black sheep against their background, and it brings joy to the children, if they like it, why not do it?
I remember really looking forward to other kids' birthdays at school, I really liked that we were treated, for me it was a celebration.

I've never seen store-bought healthy marshmallows without sugar anywhere, it's better to replace them with children's fruit and nut bars, juices too with normal ones, and for gifts for all the little ones, colored pencils or anti-stress toys, it would be great to set up a fondue for everyone, cheese fondue for example

Natural products are impossible to find these days, and if they do exist, they're at astronomical prices.
What's written on the packaging "natural 100%" doesn't mean it actually is

"It would be great to have a fondue party for everyone, cheese fondue."

Are you in your right mind to suggest such a thing, risking children burning their mouths or hands? Not every adult knows or likes it, and children are very conservative with food. Besides, it's a heavy dish, not suitable for children's stomachs. Next, you'll be recommending barbecuing over an open fire!

If there were a chat, I would ask if anyone has allergies or the like.
I would treat them to a Kinder or a small chocolate bar (one Barney each) and juice.
I definitely wouldn't give any gifts to the children, no matter how small they might be. Why bother? A treat is enough. That's it.

25 gifts? Are you serious? Well, if you have nothing better to do, go ahead and buy them.
I think it's unnecessary. The treats alone will cost a pretty penny. And now gifts for the kids too? What for? When your daughter grows up, are you going to give presents to everyone in her class as well?
I remember when I brought treats in 1st and 2nd grade. And even then, it was just some candies (sold by weight).
But giving them actual items too? No way.

I know all about treats, that's standard.
I was asking specifically about small gifts. Well, in our group it's customary, it's not the first birthday and everyone gives something small, I don't want to be the odd one out, but I also don't want to repeat what others do.

Yeah, we always had candy sold by weight too. But now everyone has allergies, everyone's against chocolate and lollipops, and plus everyone here started doing it this way, everyone gives gifts... I don't know why it's like that. I'm thinking about how to do it differently so I don't just repeat what others do and not ignore it altogether.

Yeah, they wrote nonsense there. You can't bring anything homemade to kindergarten, only store-bought with expiration date labels. And I won't even mention hot food :)

Well, we all eat store-bought stuff our whole lives anyway :)) There's no alternative. Even if it's not natural, it's not poison. If they don't eat it at kindergarten/parties, they'll eat it at home and vice versa.
Of course we should avoid allergens and obvious junk like cola and chips.
But things like sugar-free baby cookies and other treats are definitely less harmful than something like a Chupa Chups :)
And marshmallows are actually recommended to all pregnant women as a healthy natural sweet.

So I've decided everything, done it, bought it. It'll just be a gift bag with a coloring page + a small pack of pencils + a lollipop. It comes out to about 150 rubles per child total. But without treats. This way is simpler.

For 100₽ you can buy a good 40-page drawing album.
