What are the symptoms …

What are the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy?

The situation is that I won't be able to see a doctor for the next week. After having one of my tubes repaired (that was 4 years ago), my chances of an ectopic pregnancy have increased. Now I'm feeling unwell and, naturally, suspecting the worst. Has anyone else had such a pregnancy? What did you feel? What were the symptoms? Thanks in advance.

My neighbour was taken away by an ambulance.

With such symptoms, I don't think you'd be browsing the internet...

I'm still a student. But I know there can be terrible pains. Without an ultrasound, nothing can be said.

Author, go to the doctor tomorrow, otherwise it will be too late—you'll get peritonitis.

I had pregnancy symptoms and dark, bloody discharge, but nothing hurt, even during the examination!!!! Then the pregnancy stopped developing, but for some reason, they still removed my tube. I don't understand—maybe they didn't want to bother and found it easier to remove it????

1, why don't you sit down? The pipe doesn't burst immediately, does it? But when it does burst, you won't think it's a small matter...

There will be no symptoms until the tube ruptures. There's no point in guessing; go for an ultrasound—that will clarify everything.

A pregnancy test indicates an ectopic pregnancy.
#8
If your test is positive, go and have an ultrasound; they will tell you if it's ectopic or uterine. If the test is negative, there are no pregnancies, not even ectopic ones.

It can be completely asymptomatic until the point where you need to save your life, or it might present like a common illness with nausea, so it's better to be overly cautious, even if your concerns turn out to be false—think of all the nerves you'll save yourself. Good luck to you.

From what I know, it's usually spotting and very severe pain that increases over time. With a normal pregnancy, there can also be pain—I even took painkillers (the permitted kind).

The author - what does the pregnancy test indicate? And when was your last period? Is there a delay or not? On the 5th day of a delay, you can already try taking an HCG hormone test; if a regular pregnancy test shows nothing, this one can be more effective. However, a referral for it is given by a doctor at a women's clinic or reproductive centre. In any case, an ultrasound is the best solution; this is not something to joke about...

I had my period, the test showed nothing, and there was no pain. For two and a half months, I was in the dark until my fallopian tube ruptured. I even took painkillers for two more days, was taken away at night, and might not have made it until morning.

This is what happened to me: my period ended, but some spotting continued for about a week. Then, two weeks later, I experienced this sharp pain, probably worse than labour contractions. Once I lay down, I couldn't even move for about four hours, and I was alone at home, unable to reach the phone. Then the sharp pain subsided, turning into a dull ache in my lower abdomen. By the next morning, the pain was almost gone, or perhaps I had just gotten used to it, but I decided to see a doctor. The doctor at the clinic immediately called an ambulance, and I was taken to the hospital. After some immediate examinations, I was rushed to the operating theatre and had surgery, still in my makeup(!). When I woke up, they told me: one more hour and it would have been goodbye. My fallopian tube had ruptured, and blood was flowing into the abdominal cavity—basically, there were already one and a half litres of blood in there. Girls, don't take this lightly; many women die from ectopic pregnancies. At the slightest suspicion, see a doctor.

On July 3rd, I was taken from work by an ambulance. At first, my side was aching, or rather the lower abdomen, for about three days, then I got hooked on Baralgin, thinking it would pass. I did have an ultrasound and blood tests done straight away... and then the doctor immediately became concerned... she didn't like what she saw. The outcome—they barely managed to remove the tube. It's upsetting to the point of tears; I've always been as healthy as a horse!

Symptoms: Dull, aching pains that make you constantly hold your lower abdomen. Pale skin, nausea, cold sweats, dizziness. Author - rush to the hospital.. If you have to call from home, give money for the ambulance and go to the 1st City Hospital (doctors are superb!!! no facilities) or to the South-West, to the 31st, where both doctors and facilities are good. It's a matter of luck.

Happy, I read it and it was all the same for me. We women are patient, we'll take some No-Spa, then something else... thinking it will pass on its own. And I was also told that the at-risk group is between 28 and 35 years old.

Author, it can also happen that there are no symptoms at all with an ectopic pregnancy; it varies from person to person. So, take a test, and if it's positive, then rush to the doctor.

I have this problem, can someone help me? I don't know if I'm pregnant!

In August, I slept with a guy, but we used protection. I had a two-day delay, but then everything was fine! My periods came for three months, and now there's a five-day delay!!! What should I do???

Girls, many here advise that as soon as pregnancy is confirmed by tests, you should rush for an ultrasound.

But there's a theory that ultrasound at very early stages is harmful and often causes miscarriage.

What to do then - hope that the pregnancy is normal, or risk that very pregnancy? A dilemma....

Ladies, could you please advise what this might be? During sex with my husband, the condom slipped off and remained inside me. I did manage to pull it out, but naturally, everything spilled into me. I wasn't using any other form of contraception. I immediately took some pills that my friend gave me, but I made a mistake - instead of taking 2+2, I took 1+1. A few days later, my period started, even though it wasn't due for another two weeks. On the first day of this period, I began taking Loette pills (Italian). I've already taken half the pack. But I'm feeling somewhat strange. And my stomach has become kind of round. I've also started eating more. Do you think I could be pregnant? Thanks in advance.

I have an excruciating pain in my abdomen, especially the lower part. I can't get up, it hurts to walk and sit, and even breathing is painful. Everything seems to radiate to my stomach, with a sensation as if my insides are tearing apart. Yesterday, I overate salted cucumbers, and by the way, I'm craving salty things. Could it just be stomach issues, and it's hurting because the cucumbers were salted and spicy? Or could it be an ectopic pregnancy... I don't even know, has anyone else experienced this?

Folks! Here's the situation. Three weeks ago, I got pregnant. I know the exact date because my husband went on a business trip afterwards and returned on the first day of my period, which never actually started. I went for an ultrasound. They told me the embryo is still in the tube and gave me a week. Is it possible for the embryo to still make it to the uterus, or is it already all over, an ectopic pregnancy?

What should I do if one test shows one line and another shows two lines? There's a four-week delay. I've read that it's not recommended to have an ultrasound at this stage. The gynaecologist says they don't see the uterus?

Please tell me! I had an unexpected situation... I had to take Escapelle! After 5 days, I experienced spotting... The gynecologist checked... everything is fine... Escapelle worked and the test results are good! They sent me home, giving me a lot of advice, BUT

now I have a delay of 8–9 days, my breasts hurt (nipples) and my stomach feels tight... what could this be??

Girls, I need your help, can you tell me what to do and what this could possibly be???

The thing is, I had an ectopic pregnancy back around 2004 (they removed a tube at hospital 31) (and there weren't really any symptoms, except the test showed two lines but one wasn't very clear, and then after about 4 days, discharge started, I called an ambulance, they took me and operated that night), I was ready to give up on myself, thinking I had no chance of getting pregnant again, but luckily in 2008, I gave birth to a daughter!!! But now there are problems again: my period is two weeks late!!! I've already taken 4 tests, all negative, but I feel like my stomach is aching a bit, not exactly my stomach, but I think it's my ovaries in general. I can't get to a gynaecologist in the next few days, what should I do????? Please advise!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!!!

Pain in the lower right abdomen could be appendicitis, and that's no laughing matter. So it's best to see a doctor right away.

Hello everyone! Here I am. Three years ago, I had an ectopic pregnancy, but they didn't perform surgery; instead, they just gave me some kind of injection into the vein. I stayed in the hospital for a day and then had my HCG levels monitored for about two months. In the end, everything turned out fine, but now the same symptoms are back—I've been spotting for the sixth day. Yesterday, I saw the gynaecologist, who said the test was faintly positive, but there's nothing in the uterus and the coil is in place. They took blood, and I need to call this evening to find out the results. I'm scared, of course, and going to the hospital is just not an option—I have an 8-month-old child. I'll write back as soon as I know anything. Good luck to everyone!!!

Hello everyone, I'm in this situation: I'm over a month late, the tests are positive—I've taken as many as nine—but the ultrasound doesn't show a gestational sac. Maybe it's still too early, but there's suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy. I've had an HCG test done, and the results will be in tomorrow. Could it still be a normal pregnancy? I really want a baby! Please, if anyone has been through something similar, I'd appreciate your advice.

Could you please tell me what this might be...??? I'm 6 days late. I took a test and it came back negative. And all the time I feel a very faint pain in my lower right side. It's not even pain... I just constantly feel that spot... Thanks for any advice...

Oh girls... I read the comments and tears welled up... I'm 17 years old (DON'T JUDGE TOO HARSHLY, I'M NOT SOME LITTLE KID), my husband and I really wanted a baby... Everyone was so happy when they found out I was pregnant, those cherished two lines... But then a month and a half passed, and I fainted, was taken to the hospital with excruciating pain... I woke up, and they were examining me... I said to the doctor: "I probably have an ectopic pregnancy" (since I'm in the medical field, I suspected it), and he said to me: "I don't know"... and I lost consciousness again... I woke up after the surgery... my husband was crying, my mum too... I understood everything... They removed my right tube, no sex for a month, no hot baths for two months, and not to get pregnant for a YEAR. Before planning the next pregnancy, they told me to see a gynaecologist, both my husband and I need to get examined, have a laparoscopy, an HSG... I'm really scared to try for a baby a second time... There are adhesions in the other tube, and I also have a retroverted uterus... I'm terribly worried... and on top of that, there's the psychological trauma left behind...

In November 2011, I underwent a laparoscopic surgery to remove my left fallopian tube. Initially, everything seemed normal: a missed period, a positive pregnancy test, but then a week after the delay, brown spotting began. I constantly felt a tingling in my left side and a pulling sensation in my left leg. After the brown spotting stopped, light bleeding started, accompanied by severe fatigue and nausea. I remember being completely bedridden and unable to do anything. Then, at six weeks, one evening, I had an attack with intense, labour-like pains radiating to my rectum. I recall wanting to use the toilet for a bowel movement but couldn't due to excruciating, dagger-like pain. I called an ambulance, and the next morning, they discovered a foetus in my left tube. It turned out there were two: one in the uterus and the other ectopic. Later, after the surgery, the membranes of the second foetus were expelled from the uterus. During the operation, they told me the tube had already started to rupture or had ruptured, and there was blood in the abdominal cavity.

Can there be bleeding or periods with an ectopic pregnancy?

An ultrasound cannot determine early in pregnancy whether it is uterine or ectopic. I myself have just encountered this problem. Morning sickness started. Then I took a test—hooray, two lines!!! A week later, I went for an ultrasound—threat of miscarriage. Another week later—a missed miscarriage. Naturally, a D&C. Three days later, heavy bleeding, I go for an ultrasound—no remaining tissue, but severe lower abdominal pain for a week. I go to the doctor—they shrug, unsure what’s happening. I ask them to check for an ectopic pregnancy. They find something suspicious. They do a test—two bright lines. And I’m rushed into emergency surgery. Now I’m just resting.

Hello everyone, I'm 25 years old and would really appreciate some advice. I have a 7-day delay, and I've already visited the gynaecologist who said they can't see anything yet, but I'm troubled by pain in my lower abdomen. I also had an ultrasound, and they said nothing is visible at the moment. I took a test, and the second line is very faint. My HCG is 100. I really don't know what to think.

Girls, has anyone experienced something like this: a two-week delay, took a test and it showed one line, but for about five days, I've had reddish-brown discharge and occasional stomach pain. I went to the doctor today, and she referred me to another one tomorrow without examining me. She said it might be an ectopic pregnancy, but not all symptoms match, or it could be a hormonal imbalance (I stopped breastfeeding two months ago). I'm really worried; I've never had anything like this before. Does anyone know anything about this??

I hadn't had my period, just some spotting, my breasts had enlarged, I went for an ultrasound and the doctor couldn't feel anything, so I went straight for an ultrasound—and there it was, an ectopic pregnancy. It was 4 weeks along. Two days later, heavy bleeding started. On my own, feeling weak and dizzy, I went to surrender myself to the doctors, where I was operated on urgently. If you have any doubts, definitely go to the doctor, and not just that—get an ultrasound. I happened to get a great ultrasound technician; he didn't even hesitate when making the diagnosis, whereas the doctor didn't notice it.

But if the periods were light, tests negative, and the ultrasound was clear. And the next one came 10 days early, heavy, without pain, could it be an ectopic pregnancy?
