It is practically impossible to cure. It often recurs. Antifungal azole creams work best.

And where exactly is yours? Mine is on the nose... and dandruff is driving me crazy. I went to a dermatologist, and he prescribed a cream. It helps, but if I stop applying it, everything comes back:(((( And when I wash my hair, I add 5-6 drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo and leave it for two minutes without rinsing. It really helps.

The "Sulcena" or "Sulcenna" paste helps me... it's cheap and cheerful. It's sold in pharmacies, use it according to the instructions. The problem is quite serious; I even went to a specialised clinic (they were extorting money there).

Take Exifin tablets, one tablet daily with or after meals (preferably after). Wash your hair with Keta Plus shampoo (as it contains ketoconazole, which is important) every other day. Before washing, be sure to apply tar, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off the tar with laundry soap and follow with shampoo. Apply tar to the face, ears, and any areas where red patches appear, leave for 15-20 minutes, and wash off with laundry soap as well. Creams do not help. Eliminate sweets, flour products, coffee, tea (light tea is acceptable), salty foods, and certain fruits (citrus) from your diet. Instead of tea, drink red clover, available at pharmacies. All this must be followed for a month, then give your body a two-week break, and repeat the cycle for three months. The results are excellent. I recommend it. This is the only way we managed to overcome this seborrheic dermatitis. We did not consult any doctors, and now we know what to do. All of this must be treated from the inside.

1. Discard all hormonal ointments and creams in the bin if you are using them.
2. Buy NATURAL apple cider vinegar (6% or 9%) from the supermarket.
3. For the first week, apply diluted vinegar mixed 1:1 with clean water to your face, scalp, and ears once or twice daily.
4. From the second week onwards, use undiluted vinegar.
5. Starting around the second month, using vinegar once or twice a week is sufficient.
The burning sensation after application subsides within 15-20 minutes.
Your skin will be clear. Best of luck.

I had seborrheic dermatitis for 9 years!!!
Lately, I've been washing my hair with Nizoral (the area where the infection is).
But then I found out that 9% apple cider vinegar could be used.
From the first day, I applied the 9% vinegar without diluting it.
So:
1) Pour the necessary amount of vinegar onto the dry area of seborrheic dermatitis (the affected spot) and rub it in. It will burn intensely, but we wait about 5 minutes, and it all subsides. Then, wash your entire head with your shampoo.
2) After rinsing off the shampoo, I still use Nizoral on the affected area. But as practice has shown, it didn't help before this.
After this procedure, your head won't itch for at least a day. The area will be very red for the first two weeks, then it will lighten. The crust on the head (the rough bump from seborrheic dermatitis) will come off in 3-5 days.
Anatoly, so have you recovered from your illness, or is it stable and you undergo these procedures every time?
And what about hair loss over 9 years??! I've been ill for 3 months, and my hair is "melting" before my eyes...

I have been ill for 4 years. Until this spring, there were only spots on my head. By hook or by crook, they haven't bothered me for about a year. But now, they've appeared on my nasal sinuses. It burns terribly. It dries out. Ointments don't help. I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry, but won't hair start falling out even more from pure vinegar?
I don't know what's wrong with me, but whatever the doctors prescribe doesn't help at all! And it's embarrassing to go outside without a head covering.

Folks, I wouldn't recommend this vinegar... I've been applying it for a week - zero effect, but now my hair is falling out so much that I'm clutching my head even more.
I tried tar, as suggested here - it's a stinky nuisance, but it really works. On the face, you can see results after just a couple of applications. And on the scalp too. As I understand, it has a disinfecting effect. And by the way, it's beneficial for hair.
Good luck to everyone.

Vinegar really does help... but only temporarily... it kills the fungus that causes the skin to peel... if you stop applying vinegar to the spots, they reappear...

Seborrhoea on the scalp and around the wings of the nose, suffering for 6-7 years, eliminated everything possible - it doesn't fully heal. Who else has flaking on the wings of the nose? What helps you?
I've had this butterfly on my head for 7 years now!
But my hair isn't falling out!!!! People here wrote about vinegar – yes, it just kills the fungus and that's it!!! You can do the same by applying garlic slices for about 10 minutes, and everything is super clean for a week!!! Do it before bed, then rinse thoroughly!
I've been to all the doctors, had every possible test done, everything's clear, and they say there's no cure for this, it will go away on its own!!! I've tried everything, absolutely everything!!!

I managed the butterfly rash by changing my diet—cutting down on alcohol and sweets, and it all cleared up!
As for the scalp, it's more complicated:-( I tried rinsing with vinegar water after shampooing—the itching and flaking went away, but the hair loss increased!!

For the face - sulfodecortem - once a day, preferably at night, for 10 days, cream rozamet - once a day, in the morning - for 2 months.
For the head - shampoos and masks "System 4", can be found online (Mask "O", Balm "N").

There is a system called "Med Planta" (Italy) - shampoo and mask, available for purchase online.
It cleanses the scalp effectively and provides benefits with continued use.

I have seborrheic dermatitis on the wings of my nose. I've been to a gastroenterologist. All tests came back normal. A hormonal ointment provided temporary rapid improvement, but then the condition only worsened. The only thing that helps is Nizoral ointment. It gives quite long remissions. But it seems it can't be completely cured.
About three years ago, I had a haircut at a salon, and the hairdresser, while trimming the back of my head, said, "You have dermatitis under your hair!" I'd never had it before! I got rid of these spots in this way: "Malavit" tincture—applied with a cotton swab to the spots, "Tea Tree Oil"—did the same, "Seborin" shampoo, "Sulsena" cream, propolis tincture, and other shampoos containing birch tar. I stopped using shampoos and made masks from various natural remedies (honey, burdock oil, rye bread, egg yolk). In short—now I don't even have dandruff. But—it requires a system and consistency in the treatments. Stay healthy!
Yes, by the way – garlic tincture was also used! You can also rub the spots with a clove of garlic. When the hardened layer of skin comes off, you should apply honey, as it both heals and disinfects. Try to use natural remedies as much as possible (if the condition isn't advanced). It's a fungal infection. These fungi are present in everyone, but under certain conditions (stress, weakened immunity), they start multiplying excessively and damage the skin.

WRITE DOWN WHAT HAS WORKED FOR YOUR FACE! I'VE BEEN SUFFERING WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT A YEAR! I'VE TRIED: Triderm and Trimistin ointments, Pimafucort helps temporarily but as soon as I stop using it, the spots reappear. I tried tar, but it burned the skin on my face where the spots are, and it took a long time to heal because the skin there was already inflamed. I tried applying a series of compresses with no results. The skin in these areas is so oily that when you press a piece of paper against it, it leaves a greasy mark. All my internal organs are fine; I've been checked twice. I read somewhere about a mixture of sour cream and copper sulfate, and now some pimples have appeared on the spots... waiting for them to go away. I've consulted three dermatologists, just wasted money on their medications with zero results.... Tell me what has helped others. The spots are on both sides of my nose (it started on one side first). Is it possible to get rid of this nuisance forever, or will I have to suffer with it for life?

I found significant relief using ASD 3 (sold in veterinary pharmacies), diluted with sunflower oil at a ratio of about 1 to 3, to avoid burning the skin. Cutting down on sugar also helps. Additionally, I apply moisturiser in the morning after washing my face, as our water is hard and causes slight flakiness afterwards. Now, the red spots have become almost unnoticeable, and the frequent flaking has stopped. And yes, try not to touch the skin in the inflamed areas. That's pretty much it. A complete cure is probably unlikely, but it's worth the effort to do this every other day—it's still better than walking around with flaky patches, and no steroid creams are needed.

Folks, seems like I've found a remedy for the crust. From the age of 17, I suffered from severe seborrhea for two years and thought I was stuck with it. But after trying to dab a solution of chloramphenicol with a cotton swab – it effectively removes the hardened scales that eventually form into yellowish crusts. Seborrhea can't be completely cured – it's like an ulcer, only on the head or wherever else. That's just our lot in life. This solution works well – give it a try, you won't regret it.
PS Only for those with oily seborrhea!

You probably meant Elocom, I've been using it lately too. I apply it once and I'm good for a week. I have a rash on my face, and dermatologists haven't been of much help. I've tried many things (I've heard about vinegar, I want to give it a try).
