Pregnancy and …

Pregnancy and hemorrhoids. SOS!

Girls! I'm 7 months pregnant and a hemorrhoid popped out. One lump is sticking right out of my anus. I'm desperate and don't know what to do. I'm scared to go to the bathroom. I'm constantly crying. I only managed to book a doctor's appointment for next Monday! Please help with advice if anyone has been through this

Oh, that must be tough. The experienced ones here will probably give you some advice now.

My friend had hemorrhoids after giving birth, the doctor prescribed some ointment and it all went away. Couldn't the doctor have seen you earlier?

This can happen during pregnancy.

You shouldn't delay. The doctor should see you on ANY day.

Hemorrhoids aren't as trivial as they might seem at first glance.

Wash yourself after each bathroom visit. Buy suppositories and ointments at the pharmacy. Be sure to consult with the pharmacists (whether they are safe for pregnant women). Either walk or lie down (preferably with your legs and pelvis elevated). You can apply cooling compresses. Good luck!

And ABSOLUTELY!!!! Take care of your health after giving birth! Don't be falsely ashamed. It's better to get rid of this nonsense right away. Because after living with this issue for several years and suffering, you'll end up seeing a doctor anyway.

I completely agree with point 3. Since you're pregnant, there are many restrictions, including some suppositories. Until you decide, lubricate with petroleum jelly before bowel movements. Relieve the pain by cooling. I sympathize!

It's a common occurrence during pregnancy. The doctor won't do anything about it right now.

A lot of candles are sold at the pharmacy, I don't remember the names (I used them myself during pregnancy), one of them seems to be Hamamelis. And there's also a very good ointment called Zhabreynaya, but it's sold at M.V. Gordeev's herbal centers and pharmacies; check his website for addresses in your city. This ointment has helped all of my acquaintances. Oh, and apply ice to the hemorrhoids.

Buy suppositories with sea buckthorn oil from the doctor, you'll feel better, they're 100% safe for pregnant women. 40 rubles.

I used homeopathic Witch Hazel suppositories, and they helped me. There is also an ointment and very convenient witch hazel wipes that can be used instead of toilet paper or before going to the doctor for an examination. During pregnancy, I strictly treated myself only with homeopathy, thinking not only about myself but also about the baby.

I also support the advice about using cold, as it relieves pain.

Veronica, I feel so sorry for you! I'm in my 6th month of pregnancy myself and have been struck by this ailment—I've visited both my gynecologist and even a surgeon, but they didn't tell me anything new. Before pregnancy, I had no idea what hemorrhoids were. My doctor said it's a common issue during pregnancy and prescribed Relief suppositories with shark liver oil; there are 4 types, and I bought the Ultra one, which is considered the best. Also, Aurobin ointment is quite good too. The doctor says the main thing is to ensure there's no bleeding! I also have excruciating pain, especially in the evening—sorry for the details—the nodes don't retract, causing even more discomfort, but I'm not giving up and continue with the treatment. Veronica, I wish you a speedy recovery from this condition!

Girls! Thank you for the advice and support! At least now I understand that I'm not the only poor, unfortunate soul suffering from this affliction. I went to the pharmacy and bought a lot of Vaseline and witch hazel suppositories; the pharmacist said they're safe and can be used during pregnancy.

I'm afraid to use other medications without a doctor's advice. Oh, if only I can make it until MONDAY!

What is there to be ashamed of? Most women face this issue (just not everyone talks about it). So go ahead! It only gets worse if you wait, and you'll have to see a doctor anyway.

During pregnancy, I used Anusol suppositories and heparin ointment. After childbirth: heparin ointment, Detralex tablets, Relief suppositories, and applied ice, always washing after using the toilet. After two months, the hemorrhoids went away, or rather, I healed them. Now, I'm on a diet to prevent constipation (this is very important), and if anything slightly protrudes, I immediately use a suppository. Oh, and I forgot, I did exercises (though I can't explain exactly how...))).

My friend used some ointment with witch hazel and chamomile tincture, and it helped her quite a bit. I was lucky, though—I gave birth without that issue, but I did have terrible morning sickness until the eighth month. I really feel for the thread author. Hang in there.

Hey everyone, Veronichka, how are you? How's your treatment going? I wanted to share that I've seen some improvement—I'm currently using "Emulsion D" ointment and Relief Ultra suppositories together. My hemorrhoids have shrunk by half, and the second small bump has completely disappeared. So it's working. Honestly, I haven't heard of the ointment with hamamelis, but I've been using Emulsion D for a long time for various ailments, and I tried it for this too. It's only sold in veterinary pharmacies, but it's a real lifesaver!

Girls... Sorry... but if I've had a slightly protruding intestine down there for several years now... and it doesn't cause any discomfort, itching, or pain... is that hemorrhoids????

Quite possibly, for prevention, apply some ointment or use suppositories and try to push it back inside.

I want to share my experience. During pregnancy and after childbirth, I suffered from hemorrhoids, and almost every trip to the bathroom ended with new fissures appearing.

Hello, girls!

I've already written somewhere on the forum, but I decided to share here as well.

During pregnancy, Esculus ointment helped me a lot; I applied it on cotton swabs directly into my butt three times a day. Within two weeks, I forgot about the fissures and hemorrhoids.

Thank you all for your support!
It seems to have gotten better; the lump has shrunk a bit and doesn't hurt as much. Since Wednesday, I've been applying witch hazel ointment three or four times a day, and before and after using the toilet, I use petroleum jelly. I've also been using Anusol suppositories, which my mother-in-law recommended.
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and want to consult with them about Relief.
Oh, I'm scared... It's my first time seeing a proctologist...

Hello, everyone! I want to close the topic I started. I haven't written for a long time because I ended up in the hospital and spent almost three weeks there with a threatened condition. Now I've been discharged home to prepare for childbirth, and so far, everything seems okay, knock on wood.

But, girls, my hemorrhoids are gone!

So, witch hazel is a good thing... Good luck to everyone in fighting this nuisance!

Hemostop hemorrhoid gel saved me. Apply it twice a day. The problems go away quite quickly ))) Plus, the gel is natural and has no contraindications, which is also good.

Hello, Veronika!
How are things going for you, have they improved or not? I've been through that ordeal myself and can share some advice. I did go to the proctologist, and thankfully, everything is calmer now.

Hi girls! I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Three days ago (on Friday evening), I got a hemorrhoid, a little nodule about 1 cm in size, and the next day it became double. It hurts terribly, I can't sit or stand! I read that sea buckthorn oil is good to apply. I've been applying the oil after every bathroom visit. On Monday morning, I rushed to my gynecologist; she examined me, prescribed Relief suppositories (one at night), and gave me a referral to a surgeon. But my appointment with the surgeon is only in a week. So last night, I used a suppository, and by this evening, the pain has almost completely subsided! I'm still applying the oil too, hoping the nodules will disappear in the next few days. Also, at my prenatal classes, the midwife recommended taking Omegamama, saying it's really good for strengthening blood vessels. I hope nothing reappears by the time I give birth. Good luck to everyone, take care of yourselves!!!

I also encountered this nasty issue during pregnancy(((( At first, I tried home remedies, but they only brought temporary relief. Exhausted from the suffering, I went to the doctor. He prescribed me Proctis-M suppositories. These are suppositories based on hyaluronic acid and medicinal herb oils. After the treatment course, I felt significant relief. What's remarkable is that after giving birth and completing the treatment, the unpleasant symptoms never returned. So go see a doctor, get a consultation, and treat it properly))

After my second childbirth, a large hemorrhoid emerged, and I suffered for two years before having surgery. Now, with my third pregnancy approaching delivery, it has been bothering me again since week 20. Surgery doesn't guarantee that hemorrhoids won't reappear in a subsequent pregnancy. My treatment (all prescribed by a proctologist and approved by a gynecologist): Detralex according to the instructions—if it's very acute and bleeding, then 2 tablets three times a day for 3 days, then gradually transition to 1 tablet twice a day, use for up to 1 month; Proctoglyvenol suppositories 1-2 times, Natalsid suppositories 2-3 times; if it's an external hemorrhoid, use Proctoglyvenol cream instead of suppositories. If you have grade 3-4 hemorrhoids, suppositories with sea buckthorn, witch hazel, etc., won't help—they're only good for early stages. Also, if this issue is acute for you, start taking Detralex and a course of suppositories 2-4 weeks before delivery to minimize flare-ups during childbirth, of course, if it's a natural birth; with a C-section, nothing will worsen. Prepare your medications for this ailment in advance for the maternity hospital. As the proctologist said, one day of delay in treating this problem equals three days of subsequent treatment. I forgot to mention, for thrombosis of the nodes after childbirth, apply Heparin ointment on a gauze pad directly onto the nodes.

I forgot to mention, it's very important to avoid constipation during pregnancy. This includes dietary adjustments, bran, and possibly medications like Phytomucil or Duphalac.
#38
Yes, probably every pregnant woman faces the issue of constipation. I also suffered for a long time, took a course of lactulose syrup, and was on a kefir diet, but in the end, Phytomucil helped me—it was like a real find. It works almost immediately and very gently. By the way, during my first pregnancy, I also struggled with hemorrhoids, but somehow I got through the second one without it; maybe the prevention of constipation really helped.

Indeed, prevention is crucial in such matters; this illness is much easier to prevent than to cure. From my own experience, I can now say it's better to take a laxative and feel fine than to endure discomfort and later face a host of problems from poor digestion.
Ламбада
#40
Well, I wouldn't say that! Not all laxatives are created equal. For example, there are many preparations based on senna, which works quickly but irritates the intestines and is contraindicated for pregnant women, though many ignore this. There are also those based on lactulose syrup; the downside here is that you need to take a long course to see results, which isn't always convenient. I find it most convenient to take Phytomucil, as it contains soluble fiber that truly dissolves easily and works gently, making it safe for pregnant women. So, when choosing a laxative, you need to consider all the nuances and read the instructions carefully.

At 6 months pregnant, I also developed hemorrhoids, and it was scary—one node was sticking right out. The doctor prescribed an ointment that only provided relief for about 30-40 minutes, after which all the discomfort returned.

I also tried suppositories and sea buckthorn oil, but nothing helped. Then the pain got worse, especially in the evenings, and it started bleeding. The doctors didn’t offer any new advice, just told me to continue the prescribed treatment. But what’s the point if it’s not helping and the inflammation is getting worse?

Almost resigned and desperate, I complained to a friend, and she recommended this remedy: http://bezgemorras.tk.

It turned out she had a similar issue during her second pregnancy and had tried many things, but only this helped. With nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try...

I started using it. The severe inflammation went away in two days, the node retracted in a week and a half, the pain almost disappeared, and after three weeks, it stopped hurting completely.

Be sure to check it out. Wishing everyone success, good health, and smooth deliveries!

I've been training a lot and lifting heavy weights, and ended up literally getting hemorrhoids, guys, it's awful! I consulted a doctor friend who prescribed treatment with suppositories and taking Phlebofa. He assured me that in my case, it would clear up quickly. And indeed, after a month of treatment, there wasn't a trace left! I hope there won't be a recurrence!

Girls, beauties!!! I recently got hemorrhoids, and I even cried over the news. I booked a paid appointment to get treatment faster. I ran to the pharmacy and bought Phlebofa, the tablets. I've been treating it to this day, and almost everything is gone!! Oh, and by the way, Phlebofa also treats varicose veins. It's convenient to treat two things at once, 2 in 1!

Oh, girls, right before giving birth, I've got this painful thing popping out, it makes me want to cry, I can't walk, lie down, or touch it, I'm so scared to give birth! I'm using Posterisan Forte suppositories, twice a day, and heparin ointment, and now I'm wondering if I can add another suppository. Or maybe this Detralex?

Mine also came out at 6 months, twice. I washed with a weak potassium permanganate solution, applied Vishnevsky ointment three times a day, and at night I washed with potassium permanganate and applied sea buckthorn oil to the hemorrhoid. It goes away in 3-4 days, but the little bump doesn't disappear.

After the first childbirth, I developed hemorrhoids and used Bezornil ointment. It helped. Almost four years have passed.
Now, in my second pregnancy at 34 weeks, and voila... the same problem has returned—a hemorrhoid has popped out. I'll try the trusted Bezornil ointment again since sea buckthorn suppositories and Hepatrombin G ointment didn't help. Especially the ointment—I don't know who it actually helps; now it's just sitting in the fridge. Useless, in short.

Oh girls, I've also run into this problem, I'm 35 weeks now, such a lump, it hurts, throbs, sometimes itches, can't sit or lie down. I went to the doctor, and he prescribed me Detralex 1000, once a day for 2 months, sea buckthorn suppositories twice a day for 10 days, Natalsid suppositories after I finish the sea buckthorn ones, Troxerutin or Traksevazin ointment 2-3 times a day for 10-14 days, and washing with cool water after using the toilet. What surprised me was that he didn't even examine me, just diagnosed based on my words and that's it, prescribed the treatment. He said this treatment can be safely used and won't affect the pregnancy at all.
