Has anyone gotten pregnant from withdrawal method?

Girls, please tell me who practices withdrawal method (coitus interruptus)? Who uses this method for contraception and hasn't gotten pregnant? I recently had unprotected sex, the guy didn't cum inside me, he pulled out. But I was in the middle of my cycle. Now I'm really scared that I could have gotten pregnant? Has anyone gotten pregnant from withdrawal method?

My husband and I basically only use this method for contraception, and there hasn't been a pregnancy.

YES! I got pregnant four times. And I was already over 30.

Before 30, that didn't happen...

Well, isn't it obvious??

Not everyone likes to talk about unpleasant things

The pregnancy occurred not only during withdrawal but also during menstruation.

All my acquaintances who got married due to an unplanned pregnancy ended up in that situation exactly that way. And there are about six of them.

Oh, author, I was using this method of contraception for half a year, with a very active sex life. I'm now horrified thinking back on what a miracle it is that I didn't get pregnant. Horror, horror, horror. It's better to use no protection at all than to rely on that method.

It's really, really scary now... where was my head? Maybe I'll get lucky...

That's exactly how it turned out for us. So be careful =D

But I have no regrets. Our little boy is already a year old. Our joy)

I've been using protection for 2 years. I've never gotten pregnant. I'm starting to worry that something might be wrong with me.

We've been using contraception for 12 years. We have one child, who was planned, and it took us six months of trying before it happened.

With my ex-husband, withdrawal always worked for us, but with my current boyfriend, it didn't, and I had to have an abortion. And that was just one single time, meaning one act and bam—pregnant.

I was secretly taking birth control pills too, and still got pregnant.

I'm going to have my tubes tied in the future. Because I don't trust birth control pills, withdrawal isn't contraception, I'm allergic to latex, and the IUD isn't suitable for me.

Regarding "pulling out in time" - that's complete nonsense. A drop of ejaculate can be released even before a man's orgasm, during sex, just from intense arousal. And it only takes one sneaky sperm... we all know the result) So it's hard to even call the pull-out method a form of contraception. Don't stress too much, as stress itself can cause delays, but if your period doesn't come on time, it's still worth buying a reliable rapid test.

In 3.5 years with my husband, I never got pregnant from withdrawal, even during "risky days." Then we wanted a child—it happened on the second try.

I didn't get pregnant for 8 years of sexual activity using withdrawal method, but with my new husband, I got pregnant using the same method. I'm due to give birth soon.

Things happen, it's a risk but not a significant one! Yes, they could have gotten pregnant!

PPA is like playing roulette, it's all about luck! We were using it for a year and a half, and now I'm in my 4th week of pregnancy)))) We can't figure out with my husband how or when it happened) Now we're eagerly awaiting our little one!!!!!))))))

I recently went to the gynecologist and specifically asked if you can get pregnant from withdrawal method, and she said absolutely!!! But that's only if the guy doesn't pull out in time and ejaculates even a little where he shouldn't, or if he doesn't wash after the first time and immediately goes for a second round.

I also asked if you can get pregnant from pre-ejaculate or whatever else they release during sex, and she looked at me like I was an idiot and said: sperm is only present in ejaculate!!!!!!!!!! So those idiots who write that they got pregnant from withdrawal method, it means your boyfriend did it all wrong. Use protection, people)))

Svetlana, I agree with you! Those who got pregnant from withdrawal probably did so because the man wasn't experienced enough. He was just a little too slow, miscalculated—and bam, pregnant! Especially when they're drunk, their sensations get mixed up, as they say... and they end up ejaculating a bit inside. Then they're just too scared to admit it and say, "It wasn't me, I did everything right."

How can withdrawal even be called a method of contraception? Have you all completely lost your minds here? Use condoms, you fools.

Not everyone is suited for condoms. Some have allergies. There's nothing pleasant about withdrawal either. I've been using the pull-out method for a year. No pregnancy. )))

Hello. I had protected intercourse at first, then the young man removed the condom and we had sex for about 5 minutes. Then he pulled out and said he didn't ejaculate. The intercourse occurred on the 18th, and my period started on the 20th. My cycle is irregular. Am I pregnant? What is the likelihood? Thank you in advance!!!!!!!

We had been using that method of contraception for about 8 months... turned out it was in vain. One "fine day," I went for an ultrasound and heard, "Congratulations, you're 4 weeks pregnant!!!!" even though I went to the doctor for a completely different issue!!! I advise you to choose another method of contraception, as the probability of getting pregnant with the withdrawal method is 40%!!!

A friend of mine practiced the withdrawal method for 5 months and now has a 5-week pregnancy scare. And with my girlfriend, we ended up using this method only twice—now I'm waiting for her period and just realizing how careless I was at that moment!

If it's not a secret, for those who practiced withdrawal for a year or more and never got pregnant, how many times did intercourse occur in one night—once or more?

Hey everyone! Guys, I'll say this: don't struggle with PPAs and other rubbers or pills. When you're ready and don't mind an unplanned child, that's when you should start, because the act itself isn't complicated—it's just physics. But giving a child proper upbringing, that's the tough part—feeding them, clothing them! And for some, even loving them can be a problem! So think it over ten times, and then see what happens.

My husband and I have been doing it this way for about 5 years, and everything is fine. But of course, we only do it THAT way once a night.

Ladies, it's simple! If your partner has overactive Cowper's glands—meaning there's so much pre-ejaculatory fluid that it's as if he just pulled his member out of an aquarium—then the pull-out method is not for you! If your partner is as dry as a leaf throughout the entire process until climax, and you need extra lubrication or if the woman is naturally "wet" without it—then the pull-out method is your go-to for contraception! That’s why some people go years without getting pregnant using this method, while others end up giving birth.

And to check your partner's "flow," you can try oral, for example—everything will become clear right away..)))

Absolutely agree, we've been using the pull-out method for 1.5 years and I haven't gotten pregnant. The key is to pull out in time.

One sperm? Girl, you should leave and stop spreading panic. To break through the egg's wall, a very large number of sperm are needed (don't forget that many die halfway there, and if you want to know why - read some books). The amount in that tiny drop is nothing. Everyone would be pregnant by now.

With my ex, we used protection for 5 years... he would pull out long before... and finish by hand)))) so there was no pregnancy. Now I have a new husband and we protect ourselves the same way... but when he feels it's "time," he clamps his dignity... I'm worried))))
