Well, there are few tips for you:

1. Don't get involved into fight. If other person is getting emotional - you just wait until he exhausts himself. Don't let him to knock you off your point.

Really good advises. One else from me, try to solve the problem by email. Write a letter, where you describe the problem in details and propose some desision. It really works.
