If you're thinking …

If you're thinking about someone, it means they're thinking about you

Once someone told me that if you're thinking about someone, then they're thinking about you at that same time, but not just a fleeting thought that you remember and forget, but actually thinking about the person. Do you think this is true?

В это действительно можно поверить и временами, это может 'греть душу'. На самом деле, скорее всего, этого не происходит, но совпадения такого рода бывают, особенно, если речь идёт о близких отношениях.

Of course, that's not true. If you constantly think about some star, for example, what then? They don't even know you exist.

That seems a bit dubious.

I don't think that's true; we think about many people, but they don't think about us.

The author probably means that if you remember a loved one for years, then they are also thinking of you—they haven't forgotten. I have such a memory, but he never loved me, so... he just slept with me occasionally, which makes me very doubtful.

It's more of a premonition.
I get that too.
You think about someone, and they call or come walking towards you.

I want to believe that such a thing is possible. Author, please look up online about the ceramic bond between people.

And about the ceramic bond, please, in more detail.

I believe this happens to people who share a strong emotional bond—be it love, hatred, deep resentment, and so on. Personally, I often find myself thinking about someone, and then that person calls me a few hours later or the next day.

It's funny, of course, but in my first or second year of university, I used to chat with a guy as a friend. He was good-looking, from a nice family. But he had a beautiful girlfriend at the time, studying at the same university, so I never thought he liked me. I didn't understand why he was so keen to talk to me and tried to avoid him. For some reason, I felt back then that if I kept talking to him, I'd fall in love and he'd break my heart. :) Then he disappeared for about seven years. At some point, I remembered him and tried looking him up on social media a couple of times, but no luck. For some reason, I was worried about him and wondered if he'd emigrated or not. And a couple of months later, he messaged me himself. After all those years! When I saw that message, I let out a nervous chuckle. We still message occasionally now, but I haven't dared to ask what I've been curious about.

Bloody hell. I met this guy at one of my jobs, a real cool dude, like a George Clooney type, much older than me, about 20 years. He kept hitting on me, but I wasn't interested at all. Even my colleagues started giving me grief, saying it was such an opportunity, and the boss was fawning over him. Our office was moving from that rental to another place, and he happened to be renting the whole building. So, on the last day, the guy shoves his phone number into my hand and begs me to call him, looking right into my eyes, clearly head over heels. Well, I threw the number away right then and forgot about him. Sometime later, I dreamt about him, like he was my destiny or something, and he was asking me for something. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I thought, well, since he asked me to call, I might as well, for the sake of it. I found the number of a nightclub that had opened in that same spot, called, and the secretaries gave me the runaround for ages—"who are you, what for, why?" Finally, they put me through, I introduced myself, and he didn't even recognise me, of course. I hung up and realised it was all nonsense.
That's the story.

Well, in your case it's definitely nonsense, but for others it might not be. Any sensible girl would already figure out that if a man gives you his number instead of taking yours, you're not really that important to him. So we can draw conclusions about your brains or lack thereof, rather 😉

It's truly something one can believe in, and at times, it can 'warm the soul'. In reality, it most likely doesn't happen, but such coincidences do occur, especially when it comes to close relationships.
I've had that happen, didn't know the person at all, nor did they know me, just kept seeing them in different places, thought about them... And one evening I thought, 'enough thinking about them, if it's my fate—we'll meet and talk, if not, then not' and somehow, the next day he found me on social media and wrote :)

The conversation is about someone you know, thinking isn't an option.

I think there is some connection between people, but specifically those who have experienced close contact. There's a certain feeling, as if someone is breathing down your neck.

Don't listen to anyone here, they are shattering our hopes.
Actually, I was just recently thinking about the person I love, and he even appeared in my dream. When I woke up, I saw a message from him. It's astonishing twice over—it makes me believe in something like this, that people can think of each other at the same time.

You love. But you'll mature with age, though the associations will stay with you forever. You'll settle on the option that you like. Life will show you the way, but you'll find those ladies who suit your fancy. Good luck, love, and joy to you! Life is beautiful. But never hurt the girls who love you!

Not nonsense. If you think about a person, but they can't help, then the original solution to the problem comes to you. Didn't you notice?

You loved and it warmed you. But have you ever thought to ask this person why it's happening this way? You're a coward in life, and there's no need to escalate the situation. Things aren't all that bad for you, and nothing is lost: pull yourself together and...

This is not nonsense. It happens to me often. With close people, of course. My friend and I live in different cities, and sometimes I start thinking about her as if by chance—she just won't leave my mind—and a day or two later, she calls. The same thing has happened with my husband, more than once. People I need for some reason bump into me on the street. This occurs very often. And recently, there was a case that even surprised me. I started remembering a girl who is unpleasant to me because of a conflict situation about a month and a half ago. Thoughts about her kept popping into my head; I'd push them away, but they returned with remarkable persistence. I thought about her for a couple of days. On the third day, a letter of apology arrived from her. Which was extremely unexpected for me.

My sisters and I have this thing where we try not to think about our overly intrusive aunt. Because the moment we do, she shows up. Honestly, she's really gotten on the whole family's nerves. 😂😂😂

If we're talking about sudden thoughts about a person—you're busy with some task, humming a tune, and then bam—a thought about him or her pops up—it's quite possible that this is an emotional connection, akin to what close people have, who can sense each other even from a distance. But if you're constantly thinking about them, that's different! I experienced this during an argument: you're lying down watching a movie, a comedy, nothing hints at any faces or names, and then, like a needle to the heart, a name suddenly strikes your mind, and thoughts of someone dear to you rush in sharply.
